      Adam I am SOOOO JEALOUS of that costume!!! I have been a Chewbacca for several parades around my community, using my own homemade costume. Sadly, last year I lost the costume to a water leak accident. It wasn't nearly as good looking as yours! But it really did warm my heart to see the kids light up when they saw me!!!! Made me feel like I was contributing in a small way in keeping Star Wars alive for future generations. I'm going to try and rebuild this year! But just wanted to say how great your costume looks!!!!!

      FINALLY someone who noticed this. I've been feeling a little dizzy watching TESTED and i figured out why a few days ago: The earthshake camera!

    • @Lumibear.
      @Lumibear. 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Graham Gibby - sometime in the ‘90s somebody decided hand-held shaky-cam with occasional random crash zoom was exciting and sexy camera work and I’ve been feeling nauseous ever since, if we’re now remembering how to compose a decent shot and hold it reasonably still again I will be SOOOOOO thankful that that particular trend has finally ended. Please, please, please, please, please!

    • @Lethgar_Smith
      @Lethgar_Smith 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lumibear- I seem to recall the first time I noticed that style of cinema verte` camera work was on the TV show called Hill Street Blues.
      It seemed contrived and phony then and many people couldn't watch the show because it was too jarring to them.

    • @Lumibear.
      @Lumibear. 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lethgar Smith - The first time I recall seeing it, it was on some ‘yoof’ uktv show on channel 4, The Tube perhaps, something like that, all my friends raved about the show and I just couldn’t watch it because I wanted to step into the tv, slap the stoned chimp holding the camera, take it off them and hand it to LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE!

    • @michaelgonzalez9759
      @michaelgonzalez9759 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lumibear ,
      I watch wrestling and if you watch any current WWE match there is constant zooming in and out to match every strike or move, it looks like a child has the camera and is rocking the zoom back and forth in sync with rapid punches it's nauseating. There's a few compilations highlighting how bad it really is.

  • @SpiritBear12
    @SpiritBear12 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was amazed at the stretchiness of the fur fabric, even before they mentioned that part of it. As Adam was messing with it, I could tell that he was also intrigued with that aspect of it. I have made a number of stuffed animal toys with other faux furs. The fabric backing not only does not stretch very well, it's fairly stiff, and it's also thick! I can not imagine making a fur suit out of it as it would trap so much of your own body heat inside the costume roasting you out of it. I mean you could really pass out from heat exhaustion.
    This newer faux fur is amazing! I looked up the company they mentioned and it is indeed in Lawrence Massachusetts. I think it's pretty neat that they make such a cool fabric in my State. Most textile industries have disappeared from the New England area.
    I am saving their website in my Pinterest account.
