Tbh the mic is a little expensive but it looks so clean and sounds great too, I’ll be picking it up soon!
Both microphones are a fantastic choice, however where the quadcast has more features the duocast has better recording quality. though it is very hard to deny the beauty of the quadcast i just bought a duocast because i like the better quality and i am a vtuber so people won't be seeing my mic much lol.

hey liessshy I just got the microphone and I've noticed it doesn't sound like yours, like yours sounds a lot more clear, less buzzing idk what's wrong with mine or if I have to do something extra. id appreciate if you could help since your quality sounds very good but I record in Logitech and use the mic but it sounds like weird.

How god works in so many ways because this week my Blue Yeti basically broke after a year of using it and Ive been wanting to do voice over work for my videos since I like doing video essays and seeing this video show up on my feed today after feeling defeated is incredible. @@ProXAcer it’s not misandry to want a women to give an opinion. Men and women have different tonal inflections and pitches in their voices. The settings a guy might use may not be the ones a women does. Good reach though.

Hi I seem to be very late on the review here, and great video! but I just bought mine the other day and noticed that it picks up my mouse clicks and keyboard very easily. When using OBS to stream or record, I have active noise gates that stop those sounds. But do you know of any ways to prevent them from being heard by other people when I'm playing games using open mic?
Got the Quadcast S for 80 bucks a couple weeks ago without knowing the Duocast dropped and although i like how the Duocast is smaller and more convenient to avoid clutter in front of the screen I just like how the RGB mesh looks too much. It does sound a tiny bit better too but honestly the whole HyperX range of USB Mics are great. Love the white edition, suits your aesthetics so well c:

Would this mic be good when speaking quiet without a clamp on the desk to raise it? So with the stand it comes with basically
I’m not an Audio expert but If it’s closer to your face (so if you can raise it up on a box or a pile of books etc) it will benefit you more as you may get a more quiet sound being so away from the mic. Then if you raise your gain levels too high to compensate for your voice being far away, you’ll let too much background noise in. So it’s going to be a bit of trial and error to get it just right for you.
I totally agree with some of the other comments here I love seeing a woman do a review on a microphone. it always just seems to be men. love to see more women represented in audio and microphone reviews! honestly just youtube in general I hope the best for your channel.

It would have been a waste of time to test the microphone while using the keyboard. Does the microphone record them or do they go unheard (as would be good).

I don't like USB mics tbh. It's great if you're a solo streamer, but personally I just prefer having a good audio interface and normal XLR mics. I would even argue that most people's talking voices are going to be better suited to an SM58 or one of it's clones than to any condenser mic too. The advantage of an SM58 clone is you can get a pair of them and an audio interface for the price of a lot of higher end XLR mics and you have *two* mics- which means you can have a guest on your show, record an instrument, etc etc.. the fact that this doesn't have an XLR port makes it even worse for me, since we've seen USB mics in the past that have XLR. Which is truly the ideal mic configuration. :P

The duocast has better specs. I think if you're just using cardioid it will sound best with some tweaking, and considerably cheaper. Weird that the Quadcast only has a 16 bit depth. I also think the Duocast looks better. I had the Quadcast and returned it because that little dark area in the RBG was driving me nuts. The 4 pick up patterns is a lame selling point, considering 99.9% of gamers will only use cardioid.
Did you get the white one? I have the black one and there really isn't a noticeable dark spot
Hi I’m very new to using a microphone, I have played games on my iMac using bootcamp or just the mac itself. I am wondering when I film myself how do I use the headphones and the microphone so people can hear the game and hear me? It might sound ridiculous but I am very new with this. I want to do twitch and TH-cam when I am confident with using a mic.
could you have the quadcast set up by the monitor and use it when you're talking to your mates while gaming? I'm tired of the shit headset mics that just sound like trash and is a hassle to go back and return it.
Have you tried the side tone on this microphone. I dont know why but i cant get it work. I have tried to use the cable but its not working. Older model was same...no sidetone. I just bought this new model because it has the Ngenuity app for mic monitoring...but it doesnt work. And yes i have tried to use "listen this device option in windows...but the delay makes it horrible. I have Steelseries Pro wireless headset, not sure do i need headset with wire to get this work...

If you're using this as a chat mic for party chat, then yes so it doesn't pick up background noise as much

Which is better duocast or the black red quadcast ?
I haven't used the standard quadcast, but if I'm not mistaken, there's not many differences between this one and that one, so I'd still say the Quad, but the Duo is so good for what it is. If you only need the 2 polar patterns that the Duo offers, then it's worth it
@@Liessshy ive heard that people say the sound quality that you get with duocast is better than the quadcast.. im not sure about that , can you confirm that for me? as for your quadcast s , which sounds better, im looking for a red setup so i really want the red quadcast.. but if the duocast sounds better maybe i can go with that but im not sure , what do you think and recommend ???

It's so annoying, we don,t need 4 patterns. The sound is a bit better, but for the difference of price, the quadcast is not worth it. I don,t wanna pay for pattenrs I don,t need even if I prefer the design.
That’s fair! You should look at the DuoCast instead if you are thinking of going down the Hyper X path (I have a review on that too if need be) 😊

@@Liessshy Thanks for your wishes and replies! While I am here, I may also warn you and other people, i just tried a Fifine, 669 I think (with the tripod), and it was shit. There was a loud static noise that came from the mic itself, so it didn't appear as noise on OBS while recording, but it was there. Nothing to do about it! So I returned it. I hope this one (duocast) doesn't have that, I just ordered it.
