Here's the 1cc Brad Fang video that people were asking for. As a reminder this does not mean deathless. Brad Fang is.........one of the weaker characters in the roster. I'm used to his Hard Corps version which is extremely useful and powerful.
Brad has 1 jump, a dash with a slash, a stationary slash, and downward slam with a slash on both ends. These slashes destroy bullets. It can come in handy when a unexpected bullets come through. The dash is real bad though. It's recovery fames make Brad extremely vulnerable when dashing through levels
Best way to mitigate is use the best weapon he has, the homing variant weapon. This thing absolutely destroys anything on screen. There are a few exceptions in which I swap out weapons. I actually prefer homing and crush in the 1st level. After that I'll be running double H all day long. I got cocky on the final battle and payed for it. Brad's crush is really good but it's tricky to use with angles.

@@MegaYoYo 1 out 2 isn't bad. Fang is a werewolf hybrid but they keep forgetting to give him a wolf tail. He's always going to be my favorite Contra character.

@@Shaw-js7dk atleast in this new timeline his lacking in wolf tail is explained as a result of his mutation. Though having him set as a Anti-Contra character for now will just have to give us sometime to see where they take him story wise in the future Contra games for this new timeline.
Finally, someone else smart enough to switch between two heavy weapons. I thought I was the only one doing it with Laser and Crush in C3.

I don’t get it why people criticize the game so much. It’s a decent shooter with an old school challenge. I was having a great time playing it.

They're not in arcade mode, they are separate from it called Extras.

@@aryudsohYeah you can't use perks with them so it'll be a challenge regardless. Plus we do need to see some runs on those difficulties by anyone.

@@aryudsohTrue, there are no perks allowed on both Extreme and Extreme Ultra. And you have to 1CC them because 1 game over means the whole game is over and you start from the beginning every time. Yeah this is definitely going to be one of the more challenging difficulties for a Contra game and it doesn't help they added more enemies and made bosses so tanky with an insane amount of health which increases the length of those fights even longer.

Ha, ripple laser, looks like Konami hasn't forgotten about Gradius yet. Then again, this is Wayforward's game, they did something similar in Contra 4 with the weapon that shoots out small Vic Vipers.
That ripple laser is SO GOOD. It was even in Neo Contra. Vic Viper also shows up in this game

Increased rate of fire. Depending on the weapon it increases damage output

It's "spin to win", dude. And it probably has to do with the multidirectional shooting the Contra series is known for.
He's weapon switching to fire faster, and the characters will sya some voice lines when changing weapons, and since he's always changing weapons, the lines keep repeating.
Correctomundo. Kin of wish I could disable that while still keeping his VO's for boss encounters/level events

Browny is easily the strongest character in the game. Brad has a faster running than others but his dash is not good

I don't think any new iteration of Contra will ever be as good as Shattered Soldier for PS2.
Plus, that game served as a central plot that ties together the franchise as a whole, explains the real reason for the alien's attack, something this game didn't seem to follow and instead retconned.
What a plot twist that was. All this conflict caused by three old dudes wanting unlimited power

They need to patch other things instead of messing with that, lol. I can't imagine how bad Extreme and Extreme Ultra would be without weapon shuffling.

I'm glad they brought it back. It's a habit I do in every game since it was available in Alien Wars. Haven't been able to do this trick since Hard Corps

I think it's cool that they updated Contra by combining many of the elements from the other games especially Hard Corps. It looks gorgeous. My request came true I said a long time ago, there needs to be a new Contra, but one to erase some of the stinkers. Super Contra will always be my fave but this is a good enough update.

I really wanted to like this game but between performance and direction amount of money to buy things lack of perks more health with 30 lives having to be equipped 2nd best weapon lost on hit not just death ending of the game i have not gone back to this game since no regrets at all contra collection has it's issues but is way better then this.
