      I agree. Just about to buy my first home which happened to have been my great grandmas. She passed and they sold her house. The people have been smoking in it for 10 years now. They ripped out all the kitchen counters and cabinets and never replaced them. And have let their dog use the bathroom on all the carpets. So frustrating.

      In this situation as well. Krud Kutter also works to get rid of the tar. Nice to see how others are tackling this. Once cleaned up, you need to use a shellac based primer like Zinsser BIN. It will encapsulate and seal your walls so no odor or stain bleeds through.

    I am currently cleaning my parents' house where my mother smoked multiple packs of cigarettes for 45+ years. At this point, the tar is decades old and the only thing that melts it (yes, melts) is hot (boiling water), Fabuloso, and blue Dawn dish detergent. The hotter the water, the more the tar melts. I don't know if we will ever completely eliminate the smell. Its so nasty. Your video is true to life. Every inch of the house has to deep cleaned.

      no people plants or pets inside while ozone generator is on. also air out with window before you occupy. the smell will come back after ozone if you do not clean walls then repaint/prime. You cant just run ozone in a tar ridden apt and get rid of the smell, itll be back next day@@aflawedhuman2046

      @stewie3128 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stygasIt kills bacteria, and will make the air safe enough to breathe for a short while (such as after a house fire or other disaster, before things are rebuilt/replaced), but it will not permanently eliminate the source of the nicotine smell, nor will it de-brown everything in your house.
      You need to toss all the plastic switches, etc. Those take more effort to clean than to just replace.
      Ductwork at very least needs a hard vacuum by a professional company, but probably just needs to be torn out.
      All the carpet needs to go - the carpet will indefinitely release that smell if someone has been smoking in it for years.
      Or you can be a slumlord, stick an O3 generator in there for 48 hours, and pretend that the problem is solved.

Guess what....just like those establishments, I washed my walls and other surfaces routinely, and there was no problem. Then my husband and I purchased a home. The previous owner was a candle burning freak! I had a hell of a time getting the soot and grime off surfaces. Nothing compares to that nightmare. It's like trying to scrub a waxy film off something, only to keep spreading it around and around. I would buy a nicotine ladled home over a flowery candle (scentsy) sooted one any day.

I'm Really discouraged for you that you had to pay for that kind of cleaning service! Everybody should take pride in what they do because their name is attached to it and you should have walked in there and seen none of what you just showed just to the 1st 3 minutes of this video I'm discouraged for you.. I work alone and I work hard and if it means long hours to get something done right and done well then that's what I do. Let me give you a product name that I swear by and a promise promise promise promise you will never need anything else else in your Arsenal of cleaning supplies other than Rags and sponges are whatever. The name of this product is called knockout you will have to call local industrial cleaning places cleaning places. It costs between $33 $37 about and comes in a gallon jug. You you mix it with water accordingly to what you're gonna be using it on but I can tell you right now that you will never all that you will never need to or expect anybody else to use so much energy scrubbing anything from Greece To anything else you can think of there's no need to scrub a new user stuff it's that good.. That said it has one of the nicest smells that will Make it feel good to walk in and be able to smell the clean as well as see it. The great thing about it is it is a disinfectant deodorizer deodorizer and sanitizer so so not only does it clean like a degreaser on anything but you can spray it in the air and vent safely. I have had to use this on some of the worst places I've ever seen in my life from what you're dealing with to people that have pets that just never used the bathroom outhere's the bathroom outside and I can promise you that this stuff is not a waste of any Dollar that you spend. I hope you have luck with your new rental take care and thanks for the video
