    I just add a drop of hot glue to cover the glass breaker so when I need it I can rub the glue off.

    I have one of these and its awesome. I use it camping and backpacking. The screwdriver kind of sucks but i dont need a drive while hiking. And if i lose it camping it's not my 120 dollar Wave
    Awesome tool for the money.

    I just got mine from Amazon, and I’m so excited, I really wanted a leatherman but I couldn’t see spending so much, I tried eBay used, and the lowest I could score was around $80/$90 - this thing on the other hand seems really nice. I think I might get one for my father for Father’s Day. My only con was no spring pliers. And maybe they changed the design, my glass breaker is very smooth, doesn’t snag on my clothes or cut my hands/arm.

    How is the actual steel on it compared to Leatherman?

    Used the back of the saw at a 45 degree angle to scrape the Ferrell rod. No sparks! Am I doing something wrong? Cheers.

      @JayDubbya This may sound like a dumb question but I'm assuming the black coating is scaped off the rod? Obviously it probably is. I'll have to look at mine and see which implement I used I can't remember.

    The inside tools are almost unusable because of the "hammer". I broke my Gerber Legend 800, replaced it with one of these tools, I miss all the tools being on the outside and the spring loaded pliers.

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The hammer does seem to be obstructive.

    If anyone has issues with the outer tools being stiff, likely it's a QC issue where either they used too large of a washer or the detent hole isn't drilled deep enough. I've seen both issues. I'd be curious to see if the brass washers you can get for the Leatherman wave would fit these. I feel it would be a good cheap upgrade.

    Sir, you're killing me! I'm so tempted to buy the Bibury 22 in 1. I think its the most appealing of any of the tools yet in the foreign plier based tool. It feels very strange and against the grain for me because it isn't a plier based Leatherman tool. The Signal is great. Don't own one but its nice for camping and outdoor activities. I still would prefer the Wave out of the three. The Wave is a "Gold Standard". Its a tool that includes something for everyone. You put my head in a vise, lol!

    Can you teach me about the file ? One side is very diamond looking ‘ and one side is cross hatch looking” what situations would I use for each side?

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some people use the diamond file for sharpening fishing hooks or knife blades in a pinch. It can also be used on glass and harder metals. The other side can be used on softer metals and materials.

      Could you give me more info on those multi tools? All I can find is a Damascus knife from that company. Is there a website I could see it on. Always love to find new multi tools!! You guys over there may have a multi tool I can't get but would love to test. The Walther 150 multi tool. It doesn't look high quality but it looks very unique! I'll keep looking for it on ebay.

      @@hvacbudget8600 Apology mate but couldn't find it either. Did went back to the shop but even they don't have any info on that multitool. It doesn't even say where it was made from or a maker's mark. I assume it's a local generic but with a fancy sheath that sounds Italian. Anyway had it for a couple of months & it is still rocking. So far all my contruction buddies were quite impressed with its performances. Cheers mate.

    If it's sitting in your pocket, no one would pull it the way you demonstrated. They'd pick it up from the sides to pull out of their pocket.
    The only negatives for me are the weight and the combo knife blade. I'd rather have a complete, plain edge.

    Some more negatives:
    The whistle is pretty awful.
    I don't know if it's still the case but back in December I couldn't find any way to buy a replacement ferro rod.
    Also no replacement wire cutters were available.
    Apart from that it's a great tool. Comparing it to my Leatherman and Gerber tools I think that the quality is really close. I've got no complaints about the tools, the construction or the functionality.

    Can the bibury hold a 1/4 hex shaft?

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sort of. The hammer head can fit 1/4 bits on it so a 1/4 adapter would fit into the notch partway. It might wobble because it's a shallow space for even a bit
