The doctor literally said there was no way, funeral was almost prepared for him, he was on his death bed fighting to stay alive at the age of only 19. Him being able to breathe right now is a miracle and I'm sure he's able to relate to this song a lot.
Boba Mochi Yeah and not to mention that the doctor suggest to do a surgery which may cause him to not be able to sing again but then his father disapproved because he said it will affect Kyuhyun’s career as a singer and asked for other solution. Fortunately, another doctor suggest a surgery that was safe for him. I am so grateful for the doctor, his father and God for giving him another chance to live.

Breathe’s message...I love how every masked singer who sang it had a different feeling to it. Sohyang’s version and the way she sang it brought comfort and hope. Han Donggeun’s was desperation and almost frustration. Kyuhyun’s version was regret and sorrow. Each one sang it so well and they all left me in tears. Jonghyun, you did well :,)

He’s a wall that need to be passed by any idols who want to brand as a talented vocal. His technique is on another level and he knows exactly what he wants his sound to be and that, for a vocalist, prove his maturity. He doesnt stray from his style which is a detailed and dynamic straighforward ballad singing which is quite rare these days among korean singers who has this tendecy to belt really high over and over again (sometimes straining) and reach low notes by whisper and half breath sound. I’m not saying those singers are bad but I just like Kyuhyun’s style even tho sometimes ppl may think it’s more boring, but the way he stays to that style and keep perfecting his craft is admirable and on top of that, his voice itself is a pure gem, so pleasant to the ears. I’m a fan for sure.
It's not just your opinion, I assure you ^_^ Kyuhyun is widely regarded as one of the best if not the best idol technique wise. His rage is very wide, and he always sings with a lot of support (I don't think I've ever heard him strain tbh). And his lower tones are clear, not breathy (which is bad technique). People say he sings easy songs just because he prefers ballads over other genres but ballads are mainly carried by the voice (while other genres can receive help from the music) you also need an amazing voice and confidence in it sing ballads like Kyuhyun.
Setting him as a standard for a good vocalist is kinda extreme imo simply bc he IS the best vocalist in kpop. His technique, resonance, and range is unbeatable. Its been years and million idols debuted every year but I hv yet seen someone that can surpass him.. yet he keeps on improving his vocals. There are still talented vocalists in kpop tho their skills are unmatch with kyuhyun so putting him as a standard of a good vocalist is just too unrealistic and brutal lmao.

i can’t even begin to think about the pain kyuhyun’s been through. he almost lost his life in a car accident. he lost one of his closest friends whilst he was serving in the army, and yet he’s gone to sing two songs by jonghyun on this show as a tribute and i think that’s beautiful. no one could have done it as well as kyuhyun did

Han Dong Geun's version feels like watching a strong man fighting to keep his emotions in check, finally breaking down under emotional load. Kyuhyun's version feels like a man reminiscing his most painful memories before finally moving on. In conclusion, I love both versions.

I don't know why but something in the way he sang the last part of the song tells me he was tearing up behind that mask (idk theres something about his little breath at the end of the two last lines that were kind of shaky) and I love it, because he delivered it genuinely and got mixed with his own story of this song and what it means to him and that what makes an artist. The ability of interpreting another artist's song (coming to an understanding of what the artist was feeling or thinking, bringing them feelings through life through lyrics) and how powerful is when you add your own story to the already told story and make people experience a new insight of what haven't been told. Idk if someone gets me. I'm just glad he is able to touch people's hearts like this because is not about winning but empathizing and connecting, because people tend to rely on music and artists because they sing and bring to life the feeling that we as listener can't put into words, so we let them tell our own personal story through theirs. miss caunseling yeah, I didn't want to imply it because remembering this for some people is still hurtful. I know for sure he (Jinie) was and is still affected by it because he used to be close friends, they even were in a sub unit together. The fact he was so strong and deliver his side of story to this song is so sweet. Jinie is known for doing covers that honor and respect the original song and artist but he gave it an even more deep sign of honor to this one I think because he knows and had history with the composer. It was personal to him. They both did well, we are proud of them. ❤️

And it started a whole controversy and fight with some comments urging him to watch more of Kyu because he always did that; some saying that yes, he was THAT good lol; and some deciding that, ah! they finally found the trick to Kyu's perfect singing :D
Oh that one! It always made me laugh everytime I remembered that. Kyuhyun almost always did that when he hit the high note. There was a compilation of kyuhyun live high note and he did that numerous times. The voice teacher just lacks of informations about kyuhyun so I think it's understandable for him to make that comment because not anyone can do what kyuhyun has always done :)
I know that video because I watched it. While he strongly doubt, I was just shaking my head like 'hey, it's just a normal Kyuhyun's style' and he did it once again in this stage. I dare say that among ALL kpop idols, Kyu has the strongest resonance followed by Chen and Ryeowook. Sandeul is very very good, but resonance, not that much.

As a singer this Jinie has it all. From technique, pitch, timing, and a sweet powerful voice. He’s not overdoing it and just delivered perfectly every time. I’m torn between wanting him to win or wanting him to take off that damn mask and see everyone’s shock reaction lol.

Knowing that Kyuhyun is on a higher level singing, is a given. Hearing him sing the song sweet Jonghyun wrote, had to make him feel like a miracle. I was crying throughout, but when he sang "You really did a good job" I'm still sobbing. That was a direct message. It's still heartbreaking. I wasn't even a fan at the time, but, it's so very sad. He was a fragile soul in a cruel wotld. You did well Jonghyun💙
It's interesting how with the 'Bob Ross' masked man, he sang the song very differently. He was acting as the friends/family that are angry at the person who committed suicide. Angry at the person that they didn’t talk to them. Angry at themselves that they couldn’t do anything about it. When he practically screams asks what was I supposed to do, he is heartbroken. While Kyuhyun, who Jonghyun was his closest friend, he sings it as a 'it's okay.' Like he is accepting Jonghyun's reason for dying. Like when he sang "it's alright it's alright it's alright. I'll hold you. You really did a good job." From what Kyuhyun said, he's been trying really hard to forgive himself for Jonghyun's passing. He was in the military for his mandatory enlistment so he wasn't able to truly say goodbye and go to the funeral like the other member. But, through this performance, Kyuhyun isn't doing it to win. He is telling his precious hyung that he did very well and their friendship's gonna last forever. With this mask on, however silly it may look, it is what is - a mask. With this mask, Kyuhyun can probably freely cry (you can tell he is in certain parts) and have a sense of personal space. He needed that space to comfortably sing the song and immerse himself in it. He didn't want the world to see his emotional expression or his tears.
For me, instead angry, Bob Ross actually more like someone who desperately trying to help someone even when he don't understand fully that person sadness while Kyuhyun sing as someone who have more understanding about the sadness of that person (the difference how they sing the last verse)

I don't know, it's just my personal thought. I think when Jonghyun wrote this song, it was actually the way he convinced himself that it's okay to be imperfect sometimes, that he actually could take a rest for a bit. And when he gave Lee Hi this song, he actually wanted to say that "Hey, I might not exactly understand your condition, but I think we are having similar experience, and I hope this song can help you go through your difficulty too". But when Kyuhyun sang it, it feels like he tried to say, "I have been in this condition before and I have been able to get through it so I hope you will be able to go through it too." I haven't read any interviews or fan theories concerning this song, but I believe the message it carries is so powerful and I hope more people who listen to it will feel helped.

Setting him as a standard for a good vocalist is kinda extreme imo simply bc he IS the best vocalist in kpop. His technique, resonance, and range is unbeatable. Its been years and million idols debuted every year but I hv yet seen someone that can surpass him.. yet he keeps on improving his vocals. There are still talented vocalists in kpop tho their skills are unmatch with kyuhyun so putting him as a standard of a good vocalist is just too unrealistic and brutal lmao.

I don't know why but something in the way he sang the last part of the song tells me he was tearing up behind that mask (idk theres something about his little breath at the end of the two last lines that were kind of shaky) and I love it, because he delivered it genuinely and got mixed with his own story of this song and what it means to him and that what makes an artist. The ability of interpreting another artist's song (coming to an understanding of what the artist was feeling or thinking, bringing them feelings through life through lyrics) and how powerful is when you add your own story to the already told story and make people experience a new insight of what haven't been told. Idk if someone gets me. I'm just glad he is able to touch people's hearts like this because is not about winning but empathizing and connecting, because people tend to rely on music and artists because they sing and bring to life the feeling that we as listener can't put into words, so we let them tell our own personal story through theirs. Its amazing
miss caunseling yeah, I didn't want to imply it because remembering this for some people is still hurtful. I know for sure he (Jinie) was and is still affected by it because he used to be close friends, they even were in a sub unit together. The fact he was so strong and deliver his side of story to this song is so sweet. Jinie is known for doing covers that honor and respect the original song and artist but he gave it an even more deep sign of honor to this one I think because he knows and had history with the composer. It was personal to him. They both did well, we are proud of them. ❤️

And it started a whole controversy and fight with some comments urging him to watch more of Kyu because he always did that; some saying that yes, he was THAT good lol; and some deciding that, ah! they finally found the trick to Kyu's perfect singing :D
Oh that one! It always made me laugh everytime I remembered that. Kyuhyun almost always did that when he hit the high note. There was a compilation of kyuhyun live high note and he did that numerous times. The voice teacher just lacks of informations about kyuhyun so I think it's understandable for him to make that comment because not anyone can do what kyuhyun has always done :)
I know that video because I watched it. While he strongly doubt, I was just shaking my head like 'hey, it's just a normal Kyuhyun's style' and he did it once again in this stage. I dare say that among ALL kpop idols, Kyu has the strongest resonance followed by Chen and Ryeowook. Sandeul is very very good, but resonance, not that much.

As a singer this Jinie has it all. From technique, pitch, timing, and a sweet powerful voice. He’s not overdoing it and just delivered perfectly every time.

When he said "it's alright" 3 times, I lost it.
Knowing that Kyuhyun is on a higher level singing, is a given. Hearing him sing the song sweet Jonghyun wrote, had to make him feel like a miracle. I was crying throughout, but when he sang "You really did a good job" I'm still sobbing. That was a direct message. It's still heartbreaking. I wasn't even a fan at the time, but, it's so very sad. He was a fragile soul in a cruel wotld. You did well Jonghyun💙

It's interesting how with the 'Bob Ross' masked man, he sang the song very differently. He was acting as the friends/family that are angry at the person who committed suicide. Angry at the person that they didn’t talk to them. Angry at themselves that they couldn’t do anything about it. When he practically screams asks what was I supposed to do, he is heartbroken. While Kyuhyun, who Jonghyun was his closest friend, he sings it as a 'it's okay.' Like he is accepting Jonghyun's reason for dying. Like when he sang "it's alright it's alright it's alright. I'll hold you. You really did a good job." From what Kyuhyun said, he's been trying really hard to forgive himself for Jonghyun's passing. He was in the military for his mandatory enlistment so he wasn't able to truly say goodbye and go to the funeral like the other member. But, through this performance, Kyuhyun isn't doing it to win. With this mask, Kyuhyun can probably freely cry (you can tell he is in certain parts) and have a sense of personal space. He needed that space to comfortably sing the song and immerse himself in it. He didn't want the world to see his emotional expression or his tears.

Both the Bob Ross guy and Kyuhun are so good at singing it's ridiculous.
For me, instead angry, Bob Ross actually more like someone who desperately trying to help someone even when he don't understand fully that person sadness while Kyuhyun sing as someone who have more understanding about the sadness of that person (the difference how they sing the last verse)

I don't know, it's just my personal thought. I think when Jonghyun wrote this song, it was actually the way he convinced himself that it's okay to be imperfect sometimes, that he actually could take a rest for a bit. And when he gave Lee Hi this song, he actually wanted to say that "Hey, I might not exactly understand your condition, but I think we are having similar experience, and I hope this song can help you go through your difficulty too". But when Kyuhyun sang it, it feels like he tried to say, "I have been in this condition before and I have been able to get through it so I hope you will be able to go through it too." I haven't read any interviews or fan theories concerning this song, but I believe the message it carries is so powerful and I hope more people who listen to it will feel helped.

도덕책 어떠한 알고리즘의 흐름이 나를 여기로 이끌고 왔는지 나로써는 도저히 헤아릴수 없지만 너무나 감동적인 무대였다고 생각된다. 이하이씨가 골든디스크 무대에서 노래 안하고 울먹일때 "아 또 감성팔이 하는구나... 안사요 안삽니다." 하고 넘기다가 댓글에서 샤이니 종현의 유작이라는 말을 듣고 너무도 울컥했다. 분명 본인도 몹시 힘들었을텐데 그 와중에도 누군가를 위로하는 노래를 만들었다는 게 너무 슬프다. 개인적으로 그가 어떤 사람이었는지 잘 알지는 못하지만 분명 너무나 아름다운 사람이었을 것 같다. 너무 일찍 피고 진 당신의 인생은 마치 노래 한숨과도 같았을 거라고 믿습니다.
