😢 really wish San can get more opportunities to showcase his vocal skills, he’s the lead vocalist but we only got to hear him sing properly almost 5 years after his debut and through a cover. Many people didn’t even know he was a vocalist and that says it all honestly
He's one of the lead vocalists so they try to give everybody a chance to show off their vocals. He has been given more of a chance to sing lately, but to be honest, KQ has leaned more into his sexy performance side (crop tops, etc.) because he draws a lot of people that way. Perhaps he'll do more covers and get more lead singing parts. San really is an incredible all-rounder. Ace dancer, singer, choreographer performer, actor - you name it, he can do it all flawlessly.
@@misspriss2482 sorry to correct you. HE'S THE ONLY LEAD VOCALIST but he never gets the proper chance to fully showcase his skills. They always only give him that falsetto part. The longest part he gets is 27 seconds with the same repetitive part. And it gets worse every comeback.
He got like 10 seconds to sing solo for every song... The so-called 'lead' is not quite true. Really sad about this.
@@kingchoisan in a group with 7 other members, I think that's quite a lot. But bear in mind, even Jongho has to sing repetitive parts in some songs too, vocally demanding ones even. Yeosang has about 30s in Limitless, just singing the same lines in the chorus. It's up to the producers to decide who gets to sing which parts in which songs, but you should also consider the structure of songs that Ateez usually does, which can sometimes inhibit their vocal abilities.
That said, I think KQ is great to let him showcase his vocals on this cover, which I thoroughly enjoy, and I hope there will be more in the future, preferably on his birthday.
Since there are many members, KQ could arrange like having three of them as main output and change the 'main 3' for each song so as to showcase every member, it's also good to the group in a long term. Finally see this change in Limitless (hopefully not just once), they should have done it years earlier. No one should bear the least lines every single song afterall, they are a group and everyone should take turns to shine.

I didn't know the history of this song...only knew that first time I listened to it San's voice brought me to tears. I watched it 10 more times - cried every time. Took a week off and didn't watch it wondering if it was partly my state of mind at the time....watched again today....full flowing tears. San - you are so talented and have the most beautiful voice that literally brings people to tears. You are a beautiful and talented person inside and out. I'm looking at the very details he's not lipsync here. The breathing timing is very match till the very exact time. His voice is so beautiful so sooth that makes people think it's getting recorded in the studio. Every time he sings live performance people always doubt him because he soudns exactly just like the studio version. That's how stable San is. He is a great singer. Ivy, we are given more strength for recognizing our mistakes. As long as we are alive, we have time to change our lives so as not to keep repeating those mistakes. I get so lost in their chatter with each other or get sooooo impressed with their sports agility, that I don’t have time to concentrate on making mistakes. No because this man can seriously become the biggest thing in kpop, like I’m so serious when I say he’s the most talented idol out there.
Having these kind of vocals while being one of the best dancers and the best performer, excels at acting, athletic, model like body proportions and goes viral for his visuals every other day. Like kq hit the jackpot with him.
The amount of requests he would have if kq let him shine, the amount of wasted opportunities by letting the world hear him sing for more than 1 minute straight and in a different range than his usual only 5 years after his debut despite being the lead vocalist. Kq you messed up big with him. I hope from now on things will change and he’ll get his well deserved recognition.

Guys as much as I agree Sannie is one of the most talented idols out there Ateez is a team, KQ equally gives all 8 members opportunities to shine. Most times it's up to them to accept.
@@chels8412 not really, if your an OT8 atiny like me, it’s clear as day that some members are favored in certain areas from KQ, especially creative freedom wise. But I’m not going to name names and no it’s obvious it’s not San. In order for Ateez to gain more fans and get more attention from locals allowing the members to do covers or projects that show off their talent would be the best way to gain that. In general, I just think KQ has really done a terrible job at promoting the members individual talents and potential. I mean they wasted at least 4 years of not allowing Ateez members to drop covers besides hongjoong and jongho for obvious reasons. Ateez are eight members and should be promoted as a group, but it also doesn’t hurt to give the fans what they want and in this case San being so popular is something that even KQ didn’t see it coming. KQ has never given San the proper credits he deserves and even now he seems to be getting less lines in titles tracks than some of the other vocalists considering that San is THE LEAD VOCALIST. This is why we are getting more vocal about this problem because it’s only become more noticeable as the years pass, but who knows maybe this cover is a change in that KQ is actually trying to do better and let the members have more freedom. Time will only tell.

You just choose not to see it and turn a blind eye and victimize other members as an excuse not to see how San has been unfairly treated in showing his potential and talent. And that’s just it, why should San be the main member to consistently sacrifice his lines for two other members, when in fact San is also a more proficient vocalist than said two. You guys are the same type of people that would cry about if Jongho had to sacrifice most of his lines for other members, but it’s not the same when it happens with San. I guess you never saw the live where a fan asked Mingi if he was going to do a cover or if any of the the members were going to and Mingi replied by saying that the company was not allowing it right now. Which I thought was weird. Or I guess you missed the universe pm messages where both hongjoong talked about teaching San how to produce songs, and even San voicing out how he’s been practicing writing lyrics and wants to get more into producing and produce a song for Ateez. Yeosang also stated half a year ago that he wanted to do a vocal cover and lord knows when KQ will actually allow him to do that, cause it took 5 years to let their lead vocalist finally have a proper cover. The boys have been very vocal about their interests and their wants on lives and pm messages, but some fans like you still choose not to see it. Sure timing could also be a main factor here where the boys have had a nonstop schedule for the past year, but it makes wonder why they couldn’t have given us covers of certain members before then like back in 2021 or 2020. And if you think I’m being biased, this applies to actually most of the members. Like when is Yunho gonna have an official full dance cover? He a main dancer but KQ seems to not prioritize this. Or when is Mingi gonna release his first rap cover or 1st fully produced song. We’ve seen glimpses here and there and we know he’s capable of it. There’s just no reason why KQ should be holding back the boys on their individual projects. That’s where my main frustration lies.
