Solar came up with the idea to be bald. She talks about it in a video on her YT channel.
With Lunatic you've now seen my favourite Mamamoo solo! Well, at least in terms of title tracks, Wheein's Pink Cloud is still out there 😁
Going bald was Solar's own idea! She actually wanted to go much further and completey shave her head for real. It took a lot of effort from her managers to convince her to just use a bald cap instead :D
Moonbyul actually really wants aiki to do this choreo and the company also agreed with that. Aiki said she also wants to do choreo for Byul next song, a sexier one since she said it would fit Byul perfectly. Actually, 6equence potrays stages of love, starting off with G999, the moment of your first meeting, Shutdown, the honeymoon phase of love, Lunatic, the confusion, the deeper you are in the relationship the more you will feel entangle with so many emotions sometimes it drives you crazy, then the breakup phase in For Me and acceptance and letting go in Ddu ddu ddu. She even write a scenario for each songs in the album. The door at the end actually her hint for Cheese in the trap.
There is a Solarsido episode about the bald scene. She was going to shave her head but then the company put in touch with a company that specialized in bald caps and they demonstated that she could achieve the look she wanted that way.
Now that you've seen both Lunatic and Honey you really should check out Solar's part change with Moonbyul on Solarsido. Solar covers Lunatic and Moonbyul covers Honey and it's amazing.
If possible, you should react to the whole of Moonbyul's "6equence" album, every song is a part of a love story, in order to create a "movie", starting from the Intro: Synopsis until the last one Ddu ddu ddu.

Lunatic is such an underrated song. It deserves so much more love. I can never get enough of Moonbyul’s lyrics she is a damn poet. She can say one sentence and have it mean like 5 different things but all interpretations work

Lunatic is such a great song that I find it hard to believe it didn't earn her a win on the music shows. Imo you pushed the social aspect of it too much when it's about the crazy feelings of falling in love. 6equence is a terrific concept album and I highly recommend you check out the MVs for G999 and Shutdown if you haven't seen them yet.
Spit It Out is Solar's manifesto in which she declares she's going to spit out her passion and do exactly what she wants to do. The bald scene was her idea and when she said she wanted to shave her head the stylists had to work overtime to convince her they could create the illusion with a bald cap. I think she wanted the realness of a shaved head to express her authenticity, genuineness and naked vulnerability as an artist. I also think she'd have gone naked in the bald scene if she could have gotten away with it without being censored. As it is she wore as little and possible and used the transparent fabric to show she's not hiding anything. She also has a few things to say in that scene and the lyrics about the double standard for female artists, who are judged as much for their looks and fashion choices as the quality of their work. Agree that there's a sense of both purity and elegance in the bald scene. I've always thought Solar has a pure, innocent spirit that burns with passionate intensity and that one of her gifts as an artist is that there's no filter between her heart & soul and her voice. That's why the other members call her yeba (pretty fool) when she acts silly and childish or gullibly falls for their pranks and allows herself to be teased relentlessly or innocently babbles TMI in public about her poop until they tell her to stop, etc. And on the flip side that's why she's such a strong leader with an iron will and a fierce determination to succeed and never be outworked by anyone while her style of leadership includes the generous heart of a mom taking care of her kids and the dedication of a consummate team player who is always organized, takes care of details and tries to make sure everyone in the group can shine and express themselves fully.

Hi dg, I'm one of your silent viewers. About Moonbyul's Lunatic, i think to better understand it or if you want to deep dive the meaning of it. I would suggest that you listen to the entire 6equence album. It's basically a journey of how someone falls in love until eventually they break up. And you need to listen to it in sequence from 1-6. I am looking forward to that day 😊
your finally know all the solo title tracks. Can you react to the mycon concert solos? They covered each other solo songs and did some of the solos as OT4. ( i try not to spoil much lmao) its really amazing i watched at so many times and im still amazed by the girls talent. Thanks for the reaction💚
btw it was Solar's idea to go bald sjsjsj and about Moonbyul. She's an talented and unique song writer. My favorite solo songs are from her
Solar is the ONE who decided the Bald Look.... Who Else LoL.
She wrote the song... Basically about doing what she whant's regardless of what other people think.

Solar wanted to be bald. They didn’t want her to do it. But they let her do it with a bald cap. She’s talked about it before.

I don't know if someone mentioned this before, but the Lunatic subtitles on Mamamoo’s channel are not the exact translation, RBW actually uploaded the lyrics of the English version of the song 🤦♀️ (it's the last song of the album). The correct translation is on the MV uploaded by 1theK channel in case you want to check it out. The general meaning is the same, but for me there's some phrases that fit into the concept of the album better than the english version.
Also you can find special clips for each song (including a choreography video for the extended version of the intro Synopsis). I think 6equence it’s my favorite solo album from mamamoo, but Lunatic is my least favorite title track for some reason (i admit it’s the only song from this album that i’ll skip sometimes).
Seeing you react to Spit it out only made me want more solo songs from Solar, she always comes up with unexpected things like the bald concept or the 6 meters hair in Honey.
I love how all 4 of them have unique styles when it comes to their solo work, but when they come together they blend so well as a group, it’s like i’m stanning 6 artists (I’m considering mamammoo+ separately here) 😂
