Environmental storytelling was great in the original RE3 Nemesis. Really liked that area in the Dead Factory where you see the aftermath of the battle between Tyrants and US Delta Force soldiers too.

@eaturmeatornopuddin, It is in Operation Raccoon City. Well, you go to the Dead Factory at the end of the Spec Ops dlc campaign.
They had 4 platoons alpha, bravo, charlie, and delta. Each one was assigned to a different part of the city the book goes into pretty good detail about it.
The original UBCS uniforms are so iconic.
They look much better than the ones on the Remake.

@@hitmanmonaghan6633 several years ago I wore the UBCS Uniform on Halloween. As for the BDU’s and the rest of the gear is very easy to acquire. If you want to make it as time period accurate make sure that the gear is from the late 90’s.

I hope so! I said in a coment I made minutes ago, but even though Capcom never confirmed his nationality, Carlos was adopted by the brazillian RE fanbase as our representative in the series, and him being a part of South America BSAA would totally makes sense and go along with his character.
Many of us here would like to know what happened to him after Raccoon City. Would love to see him back at the games in some way.
There's a whole game about the UBCS in raccoon city that capcom have bizarrely ignored for 25 years.
Dead aim, survivers, outbreaks and ORC...they didn't sell well. Operation raccoon City was very watered down, but probably the best of the worst

so here, lemme "Educate" you with, why people arent happy with RE3 remake.
they removed ALOT, of content.
its linear.
the clocktower fight was supposed to be badass. but just turns into using mines left and right.
theres no alternate paths you can take, leading to a different boss fight.
you BARELY, get to explore Raccoon City.
game even FEELS, shorter than the OG.
Nemesis looks wierd with the nose job.
feel free to ask any of the people who played RE3 OG, and ask them if they would rather play the OG, or Remake of RE3.
Sometimes I forget that, apart the bizarre lines and the scripts, the og Resident Evil trilogy had some crazy visual storytelling going on and several good substories, too. It's been years since Raccoon City, and yet it feels there's so much to unwrap from those events and the city itself.
Raccoon City era is something special in regards to ambience and potential lore.
Also, a little trivia about Carlos: Even though Capcom never confirmed his nationality, Carlos was amply adopted by us, brazillians fans, as our representative in the RE universe. That's because "Carlos Oliveira" is an amazingly common name and surname over here, and his overall playfull personality does fit with the average brazillian.
Even though Carlos is not canonically a brazillian, in our hearts, he is. And that's what matters to us. Would love to see him back in someway in RE9 or other, current times RE side games or projects.

If CAPCOM goes through with their plans of “individual stories” after awhile they could revisit the U.B.C.S and give us a game surrounding their fate in Raccoon City. Either a chronicles style game of playing multiple characters or maybe just an excuse to be Carlos again for the whole game. Would give us a chance to see more of the characters in action PLUS give us the Clocktower and other areas (maybe the Park and Gravedigger??). A full style Separate Ways campaign from Carlos’s perspective would be pretty sweet. There’s definitely gaps to fill from RE3 remake’s story…
Suggested idea:
- Play as Carlos leading up to his first encounter with Jill and Nemesis. Have him busy on operation and interacting with other members before he has to find a Rocket launcher then incapacitates Nemesis.
- Then continue as Carlos during any scenes featuring Jill and proceed with Mikhail’s mission of “clearing the tracks”, giving Carlos more access to Raccoon City as well as the subway. Eventually meet back up with Jill after she’s turned back on the power and the encounter with Nikolai Zinoviev where he claims she’s “unreliable”.
- When she splits off to lure away Nemesis we can continue from there leading up to their meeting again when Carlos blows up the fuel tanker and then splits off with his mission to go to the RPD. This section is expanded on following Carlos and Tyrell, then his story after he gets the call from Jill where Nemesis mutated and attacks.
- According to the pop up text half a day passed before Carlos finally found Jill. This gives A LOT of room for Carlos to do additional things including maybe encountering Dario (if he hadn’t at some time before and seeing his ultimate fate), maybe a little bit of daytime Raccoon where he discovers she was somewhere near the Clocktower and approaches it from the back entrance. Here he has an entire Clock Tower section, like a huge section to really give us what we missed in the remake…also seeing the fate of another U.B.C.S at this time. Ultimately he needs to solve some puzzles and such to get out to where Jill is located…maybe encountering Nemesis along the way? Either way he gets Jill, brings her to the hospital and that proceeds as normal until he decides to go underground for more vaccine.
- Now if the Park had not been used yet at some point this is the place to do it - he has to take the Park for an alternative entry into the NEST facility (which happens to sit below maybe the Dead Factory??) and of course - he encounters the Gravedigger. If the factory is included somehow that’s his final area of the game until he helps Jill out in NEST and then heads to the roof where he has an encounter with Nikolai Zinoviev. I’m not sure if this would be a boss fight or not but Carlos has his own closure with Nikolai over all the stuff he’s pulled surrounding their team. Maybe Nikolai is sprinkled more throughout this campaign as an antagonist tormenting him in scenes and over the radio giving us more of that sinister bastard we all enjoy.
Whatever the case the game ends concurrent with the ending of RE3 remake but having provided us far more of Raccoon City than we got in Jill’s side of the story. We see more of the unit, more areas especially the clocktower and park (and I want to include the dead factory too)…and RE3 as a complete experience could be released with updated scenes/additional content to go alongside this UBCS game.
I like this. Only thing I'd add is giving the UBCS their uniforms and gear from the original RE3 Nemesis. They looked so generic in RE3 2020, didn't have their recognizable emblem.
I think there was a mod for the pc version that gave the UBCS their original uniforms.
I've wanted for a long time a new single player focused RE starring Hunk or the UBCS.
That should have just been a Carlos story in RE3 like how 2 had Leon and Claire

I want to point out that Arnold's group is Charlie Platoon, not only that but if you were to examine the texture file of the boss "Nyx" from End of The Road in Outbreak File 2, you can see the faces of Arnold, Mac, Matt, and Billy as part of said bosses body, suggesting that they did not in fact survive the outbreak.
As far as Delta Platoon goes, Mikhail was the leader, Carlos was part of Alpha squad, Nikolai, Karl, Dustin, and UBCS 3 were the Bravo Squad, Charlie & Delta squads have no confirmed members (as far as I researched back in 2019 in the RE Wiki discord), and Campbell is the only named solider of Echo Squad, Echo was tasked with securing the clock tower specifically, and make up the various bodies that you see in that area in OG RE3.

Sounds like AI whoever its based on. It goes from pronouncing B.O.W. properly to pronouncing it like the front of a ship. That makes me think the transcript they have the AI reading must have it spelled as either B.O.W. or BOW at different points and it doesnt recognize that the latter isnt one word.
Makes you wonder if umbrella really weren’t the bad guys that started all of this but instead tried to understand it and fight it but fell victim to rogue employees
Hopefully Capcon remakes Resident Evil Outbreak 1 & 2. I never experienced online play on those games but played & beat them offline back in Playstation 2 days.
You can play it online on PC but it's complicated.
My take? Use revelations 2 as the basis for AI teammates, and if you have any other titles, you can unlock any weaolpons and enemies from those titles into the game

Mac and his 2 buddies were cut content from Resident evil outbreak.
My guess is the scenario was the survivors meet up with Mary at Raccoon High school that was used at a shelter.
They navigate the streets to meet up with the Mac’s ucbs unit and head to the clock tower.
The tower gets overrun by BOW and the group fled to the park and finally to the hospital where the Hive scenario begins.
Carlos is the best soldier of the UBCS

Those are probabaly just magazine or Grenade pouches. Search up "USMC CQB Vest" on Google and the same vest Carlos wears will appear, it's a real vest the USMC was looking at adopting in the late 90s

During certain moments, you had to make quick decisions, like whether to fight Nemesis or run away. These choices could lead to different outcomes and scenes, including how some characters' stories played out and their death scenes. So yes, that's why you might see multiple death cutscenes for certain characters. The remake streamlined some of these choices, which is why it might feel a bit different. The original definitely had more variation in how the story could unfold!

The UBCS were awesome in RE 3 Nemesis. Any other time game like ORC or RE 3 Remake try using the UBCS, they fucked it up. I thought with the UBCS remake, they were going to expand more on the mercenaries gathering together for the mission, then their process as they fast rope into the city and push to save survivors.
RE 3 Remake barely had any emotion to it, they cut out the Clock Tower and the UBCS as they, along with fighting zombies.
