The survival horror game that started it all is back with a brand new coat of paint. This game is a true classic that will go down as one of the most important games of its time. With that being said, almost 20 years after it's release, the gameplay really shows its age. Some of the game feels archaic now, like having to load every time you open a door, or finding a endless amount of keys to open new sections. These aspects of the game seem a little silly now. Nonetheless, Resident still shines in creating a scary atmosphere. What it does best is create a quiet and creepy environment that can make your skin crawl as you slowly creep around corners, afraid of the next creature that might pop out. If you loved the game back then, you will surely have fun reliving the Resident Evil experience, but if this is your first time around, you might get bored at the "key-fetch" objectives and simple puzzles. The graphics look amazing compared to the original, but this is definitely not a "next-gen" remaster. One more thing to note is that on the Xbox One we experience some performance issues, as the audio would occasionally fall out of sync with the video. Other than that though, performance and movement were smooth.
There is a lot of story exposition that takes place when you pick up and read documents. Even though including these documents would have fleshed out the story a bit more, we felt it better to leave them out since they would slow down the video way too much. As always we included relevant dialogue, important gameplay and all cutscenes to create one fluid cinematic experience. If you enjoyed, make sure to like, comment and share!

The modern day RE show makes the movies look like masterpieces and the older movies make the games look like masterpieces. The Netflix show makes the games look like a priceless work of art.
I love how Jill seems to be so surprised that Wesker is the traitor despite the fact that you run into room with a screen projector displaying a picture of him among an Umbrella research team , and his name is literally mentioned in a Report in the same room , something like 20 minutes before you actually confront him in the Lab .
She doesn't seem that surprised to me. What surprised her is Barry being in on it.
I mean, historically everyone in a resident evil game acts as though they're brain damaged. Even moreso in RE1 and REmake.

I've always loved how awkward this game is script-wise... Everyone's talking to each other like they're mentally challenged and generally being random af. Reminds me of those 80s camp horror films.

25:35 I always wondered why Wesker's little nugget of trickery about Barry behaving strangely didn't set off warning bells from Jills POV. For him to know about Barry's behavior, he would have had to run into him, just like Jill did. I guess Barry not mentioning finding Wesker could be considered 'strange behavior' but that's almost too big a lie to gamble on, especially for Barry.

Jill really deadass stood there and let dude get attacked and eaten by the zombie dogs.
You can hear the sounds of her gun during the POV of Joseph getting attacked. When it cuts to her pointing her gun, she continuing to pull the trigger but her magazine is empty hence the clicks
The storytelling has gotten up a notch compared to the original, but it's still pretty damn awkward. 37:22 Just look at this scene alone, everyone's reactions to the situation are just ridiculous.

It's like they wanted to make the cutscenes more serious, but only enough to make it feel like a part of the RE universe. Outside of that, the cheese was preserved as much as possible.

i already played the game and it's not lazy but none of the directors or movie makers did a film in a better way like the cutscene from the RE game. look at the RE movie 2021 its ridiculous only 4 stars members, they changed the storyline from the original, leon s. kennedy is a clumsy, not blonde and sloppy compared to a badass cop in the game and animation movies that's why people enjoyed more of this cutscenes
