As a Cubs fan, it's honestly one of the greatest moments in WS history. They may not have won, but it set the stage for extra innings and the rain delay. That entire series, especially Game 7, was absolute cinema
So excited for tomorrow. This is the first year I’ve gotten into baseball. Shohei got me in, but I’ve fallen in love with the game . The tension and excitement is amazing! Will be watching from down under. Go the Dodgers!!
What happened to 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2013? Way too many highlights of the 2017 Cheatin' Astros, not to mention the 1998-2001 Yankees. Meanwhile, the 4-time champion Red Sox have hardly any representative clips.
Great video! ❤❤❤ David Freese's heroics in game six of the 2011 World Series? Well some people calling it the greatest game of all time and I’m OK with that. I’ve watched that game several times.. Man what a spectacular, awesome game! The hometown hero! Hollywood could not of written that script any better! ❤❤❤ If you haven’t watched game six of that World Series? The full games is on TH-cam.. Well worth the watch… All four hours of it and that’s with the commercials taken out lol What a game! 😊❤
One of, I'm a big fan of the Cubbies and Braves. Back then as I was growing up, I'd watch the Cubs on WGN, and the Braves on TBS. But being a Dallas kid, of course the Rangers were my team. The greatest game of all time for me has got to be game 1 of last years WS. Seags coming through in the 9th with that game tying 2 run HR, and then the great Bombino winning it. Unforgettable for me. But I would definitely say that game 7 was def one of the best games I ever watched for sure. Rillas in the Midst
I truly believe that the entire series was astronomically without a reason of doubt the best in the history of baseball as both teams had to first make it to the World Series and then it was impossible to sit down and watch as I was on the verge of collapse thru every inning of each game ! And I am a CUBS fan but I think anyone who watched the entire series can say that there was two teams who will never be more remembered for a EPIC EXAMPLE OF HOW BASEBALL IS THE AMERICAN APPLE PIE of sports !!
David Freese still haunts my very soul😭. Almost made me hate baseball for the rest of my life. But I stuck with it and finally got some resolution in 2023. Let’s do it again in 2025!
As a baseball fan and Dodger fan one of my favorite moments is from last year when Corey Seager hit that game tying home run I am a Seager fan no matter if he is in dodger blue or a different uniform I will root for this guy no matter what, my other favorite is the 2011 world series game with David Freese bring the team back that was epic.
Game 5 of 2017 I think was better. 3 different 3 run leads were blown, 2 by LA and 1 by Houston. Not to mention the guy that blew the 2 3 run leads for LA was Clayton Kershaw himself. Imagine being down by 3 runs 2 times facing off against Kershaw. Game 6 of 2011 was iconic, and I will never forget exactly where I was, but I give it to Game 5 2017.
@@alexcrixell7265 Dude.. You cant be serious. No one will ever take that postseason seriously unless you're a astros fan. The '22 Phillies were an absolutely amazing team, they would have crushed any of the AL WS teams from 20-24. But the '22 Astros were completely unstoppable.
2008 Chase Utley had a great defensive play in Game 5. Joe Blanton homered in Game 4 which will be the last pure pitcher homer in a World Series now that there's a universal DH rule.
That St. Louis, Texas Rangers game? I’ve actually watched that game several times. I think it’s one of the best World Series games ever… And they’re not even my team. The Orioles are my team… Such an incredible game.. from the emotions from both sides from the fans especially when it looked like they were gonna lose..God what an incredible game.. I am glad the Cardinals won that game!

I think it was emotional for him less so for it being his team but for it being his father's team. The "we will see you tomorrow night" is of course a tribute to his father's call of Kirby Puckett's homer in 91
In the late 90’s and early 2000’s they had some very good teams, but have made it to the World Series only once after 2003 (fortunately a win for their sake in 2009).
Nobody calls the best World Series games better than Joe Buck. And calling World Series plays is still not the same without him (even though Joe Buck is at ESPN/ABC).
A couple of very interesting endings. One game the Cardinals won due to a walk-off interference call on the Red Sox 3B. Another game, Kolten Wong was brought in as a pinch runner in the 9th and got picked off to end the game. The second one might not be so iconic, but it was hilarious 😆😆
Right.. the Johnny Gomes HR was iconic. The absolute turning point of that series. Big Papi was willing the Sox forward and finally got the little bit of offensive help he needed to even the series at 2 apiece and eventually take it in 6.
Victorino’s triple was electric. And so was Koji’s strikeout off Carpenter to have the Red Sox win the World Series at Fenway Park for the first time in 95 years. It’s a crime that wasn’t featured in this video
Against the Mets I think that was a home run where the Yankees threw a guy out at home. Yankees and getting calls never gets old unless your everyone else who hates the Yankees.
I watched it live and couldn't believe it. After I picked my mouth off the floor I asked the same question. If my memory is accurate it was a ESPN top 10 play
“We will see you… tomorrow night!” Greatest World Series game ever
I am SO GLAD Berkman's game tying single made the cut, such an underrated play in an iconic game
They cut off just before the iconic line though. "They just, wont, go away"
That rajai Davis homerun is hella iconic
Definitely

The fact that these “last 30 World Series” videos, in 2024, now have exactly 1 video from the pre scoreboard era…god time is going by fast.
Still, I remember the ‘Red Sox's’ victory in 2004 the most. 👍 It was even more meaningful to break the ‘curse of Bambino’ after ‘86 years!’ 👏👏👏
The moment that got me back into baseball was when the Rangers won their first World Series last season!!!!!! I will never forget that!!!!!!!

Only one game into the '24 WS and they need to make an addendum.

@SinkingStarship I can't argue with you there. The Phillies got hot at the right time. Too bad for them it stopped 3 games too soon.
