- This is our Family Ski Vacation in Sun Valley Idaho. My review of Sun Valley includes the Grooming Report, Scenery, Terrain, Off Piste, Family Shred and Night life
In 2023 I took my family on a ski vacation to Sun Valley in Ketchum, ID. We had a condo on the Warm Springs side and spent a day skiing Bald mountain and a day skiing Dollar Mountain.
Great video ski dad. A bunch of us watched it together and it was entertaining! Cracked up with your wife and the bottle of champagne too! Perhaps a 3rd young skier is on the way!!

The part of you skiing with your kids brought back a lot of memories, both my girls learned to ski at Deer Valley when they were 3, we are much older now and they still love it, props to you and your family.
I have lived 2 hours away from Sun Valley my entire life, last year was my first year skiing there. Air quotes "green runs" so true, it's a steep mountain. We stopped on our way home from Big Sky, they think their mountain is steep, not compared to Sun Valley. We've skied a lot of resorts and my first comment to my husband was the level of skiing skill is exceptional, those locals grow up skiing and it shows. Your boys will be amazing skiers. Thanks for the videos.
Nice job ski dad. I think we are going to start at dollar and go for Baldy the next day. But maybe we can split up the family for the day as I think the younger guy will want dollar both days.

What is the comment about base bevel @ 3:52, ”too tight”? Too aggressive? Sorry, English is not my mother tongue. Fun video. Wife/ski strap 100% relatable. Have brought two kids up as a skiing family, racing etc.
Sun Valley looks amazing-would like to do a Rocky trip one day. In the mean time-I’ll ski the alps 😊.

The base edge of the ski is very grabby. I set it at a .75 but it feels like I did not set it at all…
@@skidadTV Gotcha. 0.75 is a bit too aggressive on that type of ski (and when surface is a bit variable) inmo, and you ski with big angles anyways so 1.0 will be better and give a calmer ride.
Are snowboarders welcome at Sun Valley? I think I saw 1 snowboarder the whole video!
