6:03 take care not to push in the caliper piston past its own seal(s). If you do, there's a good chance the seal(s) will get pinched the first time you apply the brakes locking up the piston and burning up the brake pads in the process. Found this out the hard way on a Chevy once, it's been a key point of performance ever since. My 2 cents.
Woulda been nice if he specified what size socket was used for each bolt. Also II dunno about using an impact gun to tighten the caliper bracket and caliper bolts. But good video.
Japanese cars are all consistent with their bolt/nut sizes; that is, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm & 19mm. I can usually just look at a nut or bolt and reach for the right size socket or wrench.
Most cars lug nuts are only 80-120Nm, so any impact should handle this easily. Do you know if perhaps red thread locker has been used on the lug nuts? If so, heat is required. If not, did you break the lug nuts with a breaker bar before raising the wheels?
Nice job! I like that you replaced the guide pins in the same holes. On some model Nissans they are different and if you don’t put them back in the same locations....upper and lower.......it can cause problems. Why didn’t you change the rotors? Are the Raybestos pads good?
Thanks for really showing me how to get these clips on correctly. 👍🏼
Glad it helped and good for you!
came here for the abutment clips.. awesome video! thanks so much!!!
You bet!
The springs threw me for a loop, much thanks for the great video and c clamp tip!
You bet!
Those abutment clips through me when I did a brake job on my 2019 Rogue. Great video
Thanks!
Thank you. When I got her new pads and rotors for her 2017 Rogue I thought maybe they had sent me far to many clips. Your a life saver.
You bet!
those spring clips looks a good idea
They are!

Good point and thanks for sharing! Also a good idea to coat the seal with silicone grease or spray.
Thanks for the worthwhile help👍🏼
You bet!
Thanks THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO
Glad you liked it!
Nice video. I do think there are torque specs for the caliper bracket and mounting bracket bolts - 22ft/lbs and 120 ft/lbs - or thereabouts.
Thanks for the info!

does a nissan rogue 2015 select use the same brake pads as the regular model?
Don't know.
Do I need to bleed the brakes? Thanks
Nope.
Can we get the torque spec for the caliper bracket and the caliper bolts?
Sory .... don't have it. Recommend you get a repair manual for your specific vehicle which will have all the torque specs.
With a 2015 nissan rogue, is it possible for someone to accidentally put the clips on “wrong”?
Don't think so.
Should my brakes have came with new spings? I just have the clips
With cheaper pads the "springs" or abutment clips are not included. You'll need to check before buying.
Sheesh I thought duralast gold were good . Thanks for responding man
May I know the drill being used? I but one for $200 but couldn't even unscrew lug nuts. Please let me know.
I use the Milwaukee brand electric impact tools. They are not cheap. Here's a example link to Amazon: amzn.to/3LhUSlW

What are the Torque specs for the caliper bracket?
You've got to invest in a repair manual to get those specs.
@@hardlymovingpro says the guy that has never used a torque wrench!
Would’ve loved for you to replace the rotors… that’s where I’m lost
Works for Nissan Rogue 2017???? Thanks
Should be the same.
Nice job!

Are the Raybestos pads good?
Thanks! Customer didn't want to pay for resurfaced or new rotors.
What size where your rotors? 292 or 320?
Don't recall.
You need to torque those calliper bolts bro
Good catch. I did but didn't show in the video.
interesting, 1st gen Rogue's don't have those kind of abutment clips.
They should be there.
My 2015 last of the first generation rogue select awd dosen't have the abutment clips either. I bought it brand new .
Do you need to open master cylinder cap when pressing the calipers piston...
The cap does have a vent - but removing it helps to reduce back pressure when compressing the pistons.
Not all 2015s use the pins. Its confusing like they changed the design during production
Can be frustrating!
You didn't even have to explain how to do that. The new balance shoes explain everything lol
I'm now wearing Hoka's. Not cheap but the most comfortable I've ever worn!
Take out rotors in title, need see how a stuck rear one comes off
They clips are a pain… what an irritating design. They’re ridiculous.
I'm with you brother!
