Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that. The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". And I didn't even touch on the references to the movie "Us" yet, there is so much going on. The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your expression is blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.
It really is art, a MASTERPIECE 😍 thank you for your helpful comment! It does remind me of Deja Vu too, and it also reminded me of Red Sun during the chorus! 😍😍😍
they mentioned the mv was inspired by the movie us which has evil doppelgangers. I also see a lot of alice in wonderland references which leads me to believe the song is not about physical doppelgangers but ones of different personalities - alice undergoes somewhat of an identity crisis and there are many split personalities in the story. although most of the lyrics can be read as obsessive love, the start of the bridge which often reveals the real intent goes "It’s fine even if you refuse me, another voice of mine". in this light it could be about one's internal struggle for control, perhaps between the good side and the evil side. one imagery to support this is sua giving herself an apple through a broken mirror. mirrors in past dc mvs show reflections but the dark side. thus this scene suggest ones dark voice is trying to tempt or poison you, depending on which metaphorical reference you want to use with the apple. there is also a short screech sound during dami's rap, taken from the movie psycho which highlights multiple personality disorder. so some of the lyrics which seem psychotic like "face turning blue, like an ocean view" might be representing one side trying to kill the other for control.
The cage for the rabbits' cage, the apple the girl was holding in the movie, the mirror, the red (evil) outfits and the blue (good) outfits, the carnival theme, them holding hands was also in the movie, the CHOREO... so many "Us" references Edit: Their choreographer Hwang Soo Yeon from Produce confirmed that the choreography and the concept is actually inspired by the movie "Us" she talked about finding the mirror, rabbit, the scissor, and the Hanja character "BE" (I can't find it lmao) which means sadness and that's why in the MV where SuA bites the apple given by herself in the mirror which has a color red (evil side) and the lyrics "I don't wanna BE(sadness)" meaning she doesn't want to be sad and that's why she was tempted to bite the apple to let her evil side take turn.
@@doublehelix-07 first of all, sorry my bad english, i'm not fluent i think the mirror is in the beginning of the choreography, when jiu and gahyeon face each other and in the last chorus when jiu says "BEcause i like you" and the members are facing each other i tried so hard but i can't find the rabbit lol the scissors is in gahyeon's part in the beginning when she does something like this (✌️) the hanja is almost in the whole choreography, when they sing "BE(cause i like/love you)" and raise their hands in "BE" (they said it in their last weekly idol participation) again sorry my bad english
@@doardorado ur English is all good tho, I'm not fluent in English too but anyways, I think the "rabbit" part is when they raised or lift Yoohyeon up then the rest of the members' hand gestures is like a rabbit, that's all I can think of for the rabbit part, lol. BTW, thank u for the help! I appreciate it
Yay I’ve been waiting to see your reaction to the MV. The entire MV backstory and carnival is all based on the movie US. Gahyeon is definitely the main character here and they have all been replaced by doppelgängers and taken to the underground world. At the beginning Yoohyeon is pushing the clothes rack is in preparation to replace the OG girls. The pink skirt was on the rack, the scene with Handong’s legs dragged behind the curtain symbolizes she’s been replaced. After Sua’s rap, the carousel is mirrored and you see the girls in white and red (doppelgängers). The song is about loving someone too much that it turns in to obsessive and you want to own that person. BE is sadness in Hangul/Chinese. During their choreograph, they use their body to form the word 悲/BE/BĒI. My own theory when Gahyeon throws the cage away means she woke up and knows what’s going on but at the end Jiu caught her and put her back to the thrown. Jiu is making sure her “dolls” are perfect and under control.
I feel like Gahyeon is the evil side of Jiu, cuz in the beginning Jiu is like looking at the mirror and there’s Gahyeon infront of her ( her reflection ) then Gahyeon tries to choke her. And also at Sua’s part near the end when Sua gives herself an apple ( which I think is poisoned ). But idk
It’s actually a reference to the movie Us! It’s about dopplegangers taking over and replacing the original girls, so the ones smiling at the end are the evil versions of themselves but Gahyeon was a doppleganger from the beginning, like in the movie!
@@SoryWearsPrada isn't like gahyeon is the original because of her pose and the fact she was trying to choke minji in the beginning, and in the end was holding her chin. cuz' in the movie the original one was trying to kill the main character who was a doppleganger the whole time and got killed.......idk
The lyrics that petained to the painting meant they killed their lover (who they're obsessed with) and they should just wipe out the paint (blood) before it hardens and the guilt (& tears). BE in BEcause is capitalised bec BE is a hanja (chinese character 悲) that means SADNESS. Hence, it makes the meaning of BEcause I love you to "SAD cause i love you". The point choreography also imitates the hanja BE, that's why they curve like the the chinese character and their arms are like the arms of the letter (悲)
Thanks for the reaction!! According to DC in a recent show, it is about how their love has grown into an obsession. PS: The doll being pulled under the curtains is Handong herself (also confirmed on the same show)
I don't think it's so much "if you leave me _I'll_ die", so much as... well, let's just say in one of their interviews, JiU referenced Misery... 😏 Also, I think the angel thing is a perfectly valid hypothesis for how they're _that_ perfect, and even _moreso_ in person... They're breaking some laws of nature somehow, I'm sure of it. And as much as everyone's (rightly) flipping their shit over Bob Siyeon in the zebra stripes, I _really_ don't think that tartan look is getting enough love... 😍🥵
OH MY GOODNESS YES YES YES! I clicked so fast when I saw the notification I am the 18th like and I am so glad that you guys finally reacted to this, they all did such a Phenomenal Job like always this whole Music Video was just Stunning and Phenomenal! Officially the song unravels a story of an obsession and longing for love. One theory is that the capitalise BE in the title is used in context as the Hanja character 悲’ (‘BE’) as they sound alike and the word meaning sadness, and the title BEcause could be loosely translate as the cause of sadness, and paired with the line BEcause I like you or BEcause I love you, the sadness is caused by liking or loving someone. Also, the whole creepy toxic vibe is link to the cherography where there is a scene of someone choking another, and the lyrics about "forever mine, even your breath" and then "your face blue...like an ocean view" kind of reflect someone being stangled until the fact turns blue etc. Also, the MV plot theme has another layer that borrowed quite a bit of plot elements from the horror movie "Us" by Jordan Peele where doppelgangers who were forced to live underground depraved of the "finer" things and are trying to are trying to take over their "privileged" above ground counterparts...won't go into much details as it would be better if you watch the movie yourself if you haven't). There are a lot of details in the MV that point to this such as the movie "Us" which has scenes depicting a hall of mirror, someone being captured and replaced, the carnival; similarly the choreography also uses the movie thems such as the doppelgangers holding hand in a chain, the slight side to side head bobs, ending pose of the center member which two hand on her face, mirrored choreography etc.. There are also a few easter eggs for the doppelgangers concept such as the MV is 3:13 minute long (coincidence? I think not) , and that the opening scene and ending scene has the members in completely different outfits (with the ending outfit more whimsical), as well as the completely drain symmetrical hourglass at the end indicating that at some point, the doppelgangers replaced their original counterpart. More impressively, musicality, it plays into the theme of opposite doppelgangers where there is a two part chorus (whimsical and cute, and a more rock follow up) and two part bridge (soft vocals followed up by a deep spoken rap with atmospherically vocals behind) trying to show this mirror duality.
The music video is based on 'Us', the Jordon Peele movie. They use doppelgangers as a theme which you can see in the dance by a lot of mirrored moves. The beginning shows Gahyeon and Jiu as if they're looking in a mirror represented by the other members, but Gahyeon reaches out to choke Jiu implying the doppelgangers are trying to replace them. They use a doll concept as like a creepy emptiness in a person, what I see as having been replaced by a doppelganger as it's kind of lifeless. It also has features from Us, with the members holding hands and one hand formed as scissors. Parts of the dance emphasizes their hands like when they cup their face, also from the movie, and when they fan out their fingers. That is in reference to the 'BE' in 'BEcause' as it's supposed to look like the character 悲. 'BE' in hanja and means sadness. So in a way, it means like 'because of you, you are the cause of my sadness'. The song is about a love turning into obsession and that obsession is like their doppelganger. The first verse talks about how others don't know the real them, kind of like they're a different person. Their lover is now starting to see this obsession and is becoming afraid, but the person says that if they stay with them, they will be happy together because of their love. The person is treating them as their possession, like a doll, hence 'play'. The person says that even if they reject them how they were before, their obsessive side will make them stay. They're trying to make their lover stay, just forget about everything that happened. They had done all of this because they don't want to be sad and it was all out of love. "I don't want to BE" -> "I don't want to be sad" Gahyeon throwing off her cage is perhaps her learning what is going on and is trying to escape. Jiu turns an hourglass that's the timer they have to escape before they get replaced? I really don't know what the apple does, was it the trigger? Idk. But throughout the video you can see them getting replaced while Gahyeon is trying to escape. In the end she gets caught, but you see that Gah in the chair is the same as Gah in the cage, while running Gah is in white. In the chamber, these are all the girls before. Jiu, Dong, Gah, and Yooh are wearing the same clothes as they were in the lobby. So white Gah is the doppelganger and black Gah is the original. Sua and Dami are wearing what they were in their first appearance (except Sua's hallway and apple, idk). We first see Siyeon in plaid, but in the chambers she's bob Siyeon. Bob Siyeon is presenting the chambers, but in the last scene she's in plaid. So maybe Siyeon was already turned when we first saw her? In the last scene, everyone is in a different outfit, representing that they've all been replaced and they have run out of time to escape. I really don't know, I'm just spewing my thoughts.
dreamcatcher choreographer Hwang Soo Yeon was inspired by the movie "US" for this choreography.... Sooyeon nim "said that it'll be fun for us to search for the hidden doppelganger, human chain, mirror, rabbit, scissors and the hanja character in the choreo..."
Watch the movie "Us" and u ll understand all the music video and actually "Us" is a masterclass in the movies so u rlly need to watch it alone then try to see what match with the video
All based on movie "US," and in the beginning Gahyeon is the original. By the end she is replaced. Just like is "Us" the original was stuck and freedom away, by end all are doppelgangers/dolls. Jiu made sure she had them all. Look at the beginning as Jiu has the sand hourglass that is flipped. In the end it has run out, their time has done and Jiu smiles all sinister. They underground like "US" when they show all.of them and Jiu rubs Gahyeons face. All about love obsession to the point they lose themselves. They all smiles Emily just their is no close up of it besides JIu but if you look close they all are smiling. BE, the "sadness" that comes with that obsession. This video is a masterpiece. P.S. they all look great, but Yooheon is just perfection. Chef's kiss indeed. Keep up the great work.
I found this comment somewhere and I think this is the best theory "About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. Actually this mv is inspired by american horror movie which is Us. If you did notice every scenes especially the chorus there are always 2 version of all of them which that explains the doppelgängers and the original ones! If you didn't notice they've been replaced by the doppelgängers at the end of the mv, if you notice the clothes that they are wearing is different from what they are wearing from the very beginning of the mv, and the reason why they are smiling at the end of the mv is because they've already replaced the original ones.
To say i was waiting for you reaction, because i just knew you were going to loose your shit cause "FUCKING GAHYEON HELLO!!!! (MAKNAE ON TOO BISHES!!!! YES ABSOLUTELY....SHE OWNS THIS ERA, not only looks .. but baby is SINGING....LISTEN TO HER DAMN VOCALS).......IS A FUCKING UNDERSTATEMENT....... This is their best title Track....it's indisputable....something snapped with Leez and Ollounder (producers, writers, for DC's songs/álbuns (and dare I say concepts??)....and they DELIVERED this Masterpiece..... From the Melody (to incorporate a sample from fucking Beethoven's - Für Elise..... chef's kiss, and the creepy/amazing music box type sound and the rock feel) To their VOCALS, the bridge, going from Siyeon to Handong to Yoohyeon angel type vocals, to SUA'S sexy deep ass voice.....like Power Move of the century.... And the MV aesthetic...a work of art......AND THE OUTFITS!!!!!!! #DC_GIVE_THE_STYLISTS_A_RAISE . Everything together is just mind-blowing....
To Die It Down Basically The Girls Are Inlove With Someone And They Think If They Act And Look Like Dolls That Thier Lover Can Play Along With It Will Make Them Fall In Love With Them(for context red means the doll side and blue means thier true side and that's why we see so much red and blue in the MV and why gahyoen's hair is red and jiu's is blue-ish) But When They Try To Pull Of This Doll Vibe Thier Lover Says It's *So Creepy* And The Girls Seem To Agree With Them And They Want To Run Away From Thier Red Side (as we see in the MV) But The Truth Is That They Played Themselves This Time, They Made A Fake Doll Like Persona To Make The Person Fall Inlove With Them But It Didn't Work And They Try To Get Back To Thier Blue Side, But Even If They Agree That It's Creepy It Doesn't Make The Heartbreak Any Less Painful, Eventually The Temptation I's Too Strong And They Fall Into The Exact Same Cycle To Win There Lover Back (and that's why Jiu smiles at the end of the MV) This Took WAY TOO LONG To Type You're Welcome ಥ‿ಥ
I honestly did not notice the clown in Gahyeon's scene. waw. And I died many times after each scenes when I watched the MV. Not only for the first time but more than 5 times. And it came out 5 am where I live. I don't know how I survived after watching it after I woke up from sleep!
DREAMCATCHER BEcause: So, if "BE" is the Hanja character that means "sadness", and we consider "cause" as a noun, that would make the meaning of this song's title as "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to loosely mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That's very deep & profound. “Smile when you see me, smile at me / It’s just the two of us in this dark room / If you play with me today / I’ll give you something sweeter tomorrow,” Gahyeon and Yoohyeon sing on the pre-chorus. Btw the one who laughed at the end is Gahyeon so we see that Gahyeon is the main character. + they representing dolls and doppelganger (mirroring each other) And if you see the full performance/choreo you see Sua has the strings and controls the members (puppets/dolls) Also the Hotel remains me of the Kdrama Hotel the Luna and the Hotel belongs to Jiu.
I'm so glad you got this uploaded and I enjoyed the reaction! I have a lot to say so bear with me. After much thought and watching the music video dozens of times, these are my theories and ideas for what I suspect is the story with this comeback: Jiu runs a carnival and circus resort hotel. She is a mystical puppeteer and controls a group of five dolls to do her bidding around the resort. My guess is that she is after Gahyeon who is still human and not a doll yet. Then at the end, Jiu captures her and makes her a doll like the others. It's important to note that Gahyeon is very front and center in this video and the main character of the story, followed by Jiu. Gahyeon is also the only one to really make distinct facial expression changes, perhaps signifying her awareness to the audience or representing that she's the only one still human amongst the dolls. It has been said that the theme and story is heavily inspired by Jordan Peele's "Us" so perhaps the theme of doppelgangers has something to do with it too. I have actually seen the film "Us" and I can see many references to it in the video, even in the choreography. I think the scene where Handong is standing alone with a pink skirt and literally sees her own feet being pulled away under a curtain could be representative of her being replaced by a doll or doppelganger and that's who is really standing there and not the real Handong. If you pay attention, you'll see that the girls at the beginning of the video all have different outfits than those at the end of the video. This could imply that they have been replaced by their doppelgangers or vice versa. It's hard to say which version of the girls are the real ones versus their doppelgangers, though it's quite often showcased how there are two of each of them in multiple scenes. Jiu also has a large hourglass that she flips at the start of the song. At the end of the song, the hourglass sand stops and so do the dolls. She gives us a smirk, and then we hear a laugh. I think that's how she controls them. When it's flipped and the sand is moving, the dolls can be active. Power over time and the ability to puppet people seems to be Jiu's powers or capabilities to some degree or she has relics that help her, like the hourglass. It's possible that Jiu needs to capture humans and then do something to make them into dolls - like feeding them a cursed apple? - or she creates dolls that she can control in their likeness by killing their normal form and then putting their soul into the doll, thus making a fake version or doppelganger of them that she can use for her bidding. So Jiu lures in unsuspecting guests to her carnival and circus resort hotel and then snatches them away for herself. One of the final scenes where Gahyeon is on the throne and Jiu caresses her face is important. Gahyeon's line during this moment is "Because I love you". As she says that line, her facial expression changes from happy to more trance-like, which indicates that she may have fallen under Jiu's power and has become her doll. There's a double-meaning here too because of Gahyeon's line. She loves Jiu, but that love may be forced or coerced by Jiu herself because of her power to turn people into dolls and have them do her bidding. Gahyeon has no choice but to love Jiu because Jiu is forcing her to do so as her new doll that has been added to the collection. This all ties back into the song's theme of having a very obsessive and dangerous love for someone else to the point of stalking and controlling them. What's even more interesting is that love, by definition, must be freely given. You cannot force love otherwise it's not love at all. Thus, Jiu seems to be seeking for love, but can't find it, so she becomes evil and obsessive over creating a fake collection of friends that will always "love" her. I also came to the understanding that "Special Albums", at least, in Dreamcatcher's case, are one-offs and stand-alone stories that are not connected to another nor will they be continued. So, think of this like their song "Deja Vu", which only had one video and a concise story all within the video itself and not continued or expanded upon in any other videos or songs. It's a shame if that is truly the case with this song and video, since this concept and theme are so strong and incredibly interesting. Either way, Dreamcatcher killed it. Furthermore, the capital "BE" in "BEcause" supposedly represents a Chinese character that sounds like "bei' which means "sadness" or "negative love". You should definitely check out their dance practice for this and the Esquire Korea video they did for it too. Lastly, this video is the fastest viewed in Dreamcatcher history, having already reached 19.5 million views in less than a week. For context, it took "Odd Eye" and "BOCA" like three days just to reach 1 million views each. Our girls are killing it this comeback and deserve their first win! My bias is Handong and my bias wrecker is Gahyeon and LET ME TELL YOU SHE IS SLAYING ME THIS ERA. IT IS GAHYEON'S ERA FOR SURE.
Mm yes, Gahyeon's era, but like, I swear it's also Jiu's AND THE RETURN OF RAPPER SUA :D I can't wait for another DC comeback ;^; have you reacted to their short films of Mystery Mansion (day version and night version)?
Breeze talking about their flawless skin. She's obviously never been to Norway, the ladies there have the most flawless complexions I've ever seen, and I've travelled a lot. You need to see this th-cam.com/video/3odtz-JWT_g/w-d-xo.html oh and this th-cam.com/video/InWHrUd7qos/w-d-xo.html
Imo, the dark side jiu (gahyeon) wanna control reality, but in the end gahyeon fail and jiu can control the dark side of her (gahyeon) it mean jiu more dangerous more than the dark side of her, and that's why she smile at the end Fun fact, BEcause it's 2 mean (Be) at chinnese it mean sadnes Let's appreciate the whole people who worked the concept
"if you don't stan dc, raise your standard" nice
Yasss!!!
Everybody's watching Gahyeon's part : THIS IS GAHYEON'S ERAAAA!!!
Meanwhile Gahyeon watching her own part : oh nooo i can't see.. its embarrassing!
😅
Dami's part "A to Z" and the fact that ATEEZ and Dreamcatcher have the same producer, Leez & Ollunder 😳
I need to check out Us now...
they mentioned the mv was inspired by the movie us which has evil doppelgangers.
WOAH 😵 that all makes so much sense!!! Thank you for this comment!
The cage for the rabbits' cage, the apple the girl was holding in the movie, the mirror, the red (evil) outfits and the blue (good) outfits, the carnival theme, them holding hands was also in the movie, the CHOREO... so many "Us" references
Edit: Their choreographer Hwang Soo Yeon from Produce confirmed that the choreography and the concept is actually inspired by the movie "Us" she talked about finding the mirror, rabbit, the scissor, and the Hanja character "BE" (I can't find it lmao) which means sadness and that's why in the MV where SuA bites the apple given by herself in the mirror which has a color red (evil side) and the lyrics "I don't wanna BE(sadness)" meaning she doesn't want to be sad and that's why she was tempted to bite the apple to let her evil side take turn.
@@doublehelix-07 first of all, sorry my bad english, i'm not fluent
i think the mirror is in the beginning of the choreography, when jiu and gahyeon face each other and in the last chorus when jiu says "BEcause i like you" and the members are facing each other
i tried so hard but i can't find the rabbit lol
the scissors is in gahyeon's part in the beginning when she does something like this (✌️)
the hanja is almost in the whole choreography, when they sing "BE(cause i like/love you)" and raise their hands in "BE" (they said it in their last weekly idol participation)
again sorry my bad english
@@doardorado ur English is all good tho, I'm not fluent in English too but anyways, I think the "rabbit" part is when they raised or lift Yoohyeon up then the rest of the members' hand gestures is like a rabbit, that's all I can think of for the rabbit part, lol. BTW, thank u for the help! I appreciate it
The creepy obsessive love also reminds me of the movie/book Misery (by Stephen King).
Doppelgangers... the mv and choreo is based on the movie US by Jordan peele.
5:45-6:01, it's like a silent comedy skit.
No sound, just hand and facial expressions.👍
*just silently gestures at screen* is honestly an extremely valid reaction to this 😂
Yay I’ve been waiting to see your reaction to the MV.
AMAZING 👏 so many things make sense now, thank you! They really did a fantastic job 😭😍
@@SoryWearsPrada oh ok now I get it, thank you
@@SoryWearsPrada isn't like gahyeon is the original because of her pose and the fact she was trying to choke minji in the beginning, and in the end was holding her chin. cuz' in the movie the original one was trying to kill the main character who was a doppleganger the whole time and got killed.......idk
14:54 Megan spittin’ straight facts! ☕️🐸
Also, I think the angel thing is a perfectly valid hypothesis for how they're _that_ perfect, and even _moreso_ in person... They're breaking some laws of nature somehow, I'm sure of it.
And as much as everyone's (rightly) flipping their shit over Bob Siyeon in the zebra stripes, I _really_ don't think that tartan look is getting enough love... 😍🥵
OMG NOW I CANT UNSEE MISERY. IT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE WOW. 😵
@@IMaeBreeze Yeah, that line about cleaning up the paint? I suspect the paint may be a metaphor... 😜

Yes please
BE = chinese character SAD; sad, cuz i like u, sad, cuz i love u... "u turn blue..."
Thanks for the Dreamcatcher reaction.

"I don't want to BE" -> "I don't want to be sad"
Gahyeon throwing off her cage is perhaps her learning what is going on and is trying to escape.
Sooyeon nim "said that it'll be fun for us to search for the hidden doppelganger, human chain, mirror, rabbit, scissors and the hanja character in the choreo..."
suggest putting up an OMG counter

Yaaayyy Dreamcatcher 💜💜
Indded raise your standards people. For us Insomnias let's help and have them win an award or two already also.
I found this comment somewhere and I think this is the best theory "About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story.
And I didn't even include the references to the movie "Us" yet, there is so much going on. The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your expression is blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far." this comment is from @Spiral Warrior
Ye ~ miracle with Dreamcatcher reaction !

Dreamcatcher are Perfect
To Die It Down Basically The Girls Are Inlove With Someone And They Think If They Act And Look Like Dolls That Thier Lover Can Play Along With It Will Make Them Fall In Love With Them(for context red means the doll side and blue means thier true side and that's why we see so much red and blue in the MV and why gahyoen's hair is red and jiu's is blue-ish) But When They Try To Pull Of This Doll Vibe Thier Lover Says It's *So Creepy* And The Girls Seem To Agree With Them And They Want To Run Away From Thier Red Side (as we see in the MV) But The Truth Is That They Played Themselves This Time, They Made A Fake Doll Like Persona To Make The Person Fall Inlove With Them But It Didn't Work And They Try To Get Back To Thier Blue Side, But Even If They Agree That It's Creepy It Doesn't Make The Heartbreak Any Less Painful, Eventually The Temptation I's Too Strong And They Fall Into The Exact Same Cycle To Win There Lover Back (and that's why Jiu smiles at the end of the MV)
This Took WAY TOO LONG To Type You're Welcome ಥ‿ಥ

Dreamcatcher's music video is said to have omamju the movie "Us", which will be interesting to compare with the original film
DREAMCATCHER BEcause:
So, if "BE" is the Hanja character that means "sadness", and we consider "cause" as a noun, that would make the meaning of this song's title as "The Cause of Sadness".
+ they representing dolls and doppelganger (mirroring each other)
And if you see the full performance/choreo you see Sua has the strings and controls the members (puppets/dolls)
Also the Hotel remains me of the Kdrama Hotel the Luna and the Hotel belongs to Jiu.
I'm surprised there's no "Oh my God" counter. HAHAHAHA. Awesome reaction. :D
I'm so glad you got this uploaded and I enjoyed the reaction! I have a lot to say so bear with me. After much thought and watching the music video dozens of times, these are my theories and ideas for what I suspect is the story with this comeback:
Jiu runs a carnival and circus resort hotel.
