International fans have been with Dreamcatcher since the beginning. We have never stopped supporting them and have laughed and cried with their every achievement. We would love more than anything for them to be accepted in their home country but, in the end, DC knows that they have a family abroad that loves them dearly and they can always come home to us ❤❤
Without International fans, Dreamcatcher would have never reached the level of success they have achieved in South Korea. It took five years of hard work and having to be better than every other group for them to even be acknowledged on the music shows. The fan base in South Korea is really quite small, but they are ferociously loyal in their support. In 2022 they held a Halloween concert in KBS Arena Hall, a venue that seats about 2200 people. It was held on two nights. The first night the arena was full, but the second night it was not, but the second show was livestreamed around the world. Dreamcatcher Company know where their fans are, which is why they tour constantly in North America and Europe, and probably why their songs have so much English in the lyrics. It's sad, but all the other Kpop groups know them and train to their songs. They've cleared the way so younger groups can be more daring and push the boundaries of the mainstream. I hope the industry will eventually recognize their contribution to Korean pop music. We mustn't forget the song writing team that have been with them since their debut, and choreographer Hwang Sooyeon, who joined them in 2019. Everything they do is a collaboration by a lot of very talented, dedicated people. Their company is one of the few decent ones in the industry and it really does operate like a family. Most agencies control every aspect of their artist's lives and monitor everything they do. Dreamcatcher's CEO isn't like that. He trusts them to know InSomnia and know what they like. That's why when you see them on camera they are always being themselves, funny, chaotic, and utterly charming.

I totally agree with what you said "why dont koreans like this group?" They are sooo underrated in Korea, but super popular every where else. Which doesnt make sense. In my opinion, i believe the reason is, despite all the tours and weekly idol appearances, i think they should be on more variety shows (me personally, i want them to be on Running Man, because I could definitely imagine the chaos they will cause on that show with the rest of the running man members 😂😂) since running man is a big variety show and well known show in korea and overseas, i feel like DC can benefit from appearing on that show. I too hope they gain more recognition in korea because behind their powerful image they're also very talented and actually care about music not just there to perform only. They've written, participated in composition, and even have a member who choreographs full on songs. They even discuss how they're going to present their songs or themselves on tours too to elevate the experience for the the fans. But yeah we all wish for their company to promote them more but there are several factors that needs to be considered in terms of promotion. Maybe, some Korean listener prefer song from bigger companies, more like Big 4 stan...as for smaller company like DreamCatcher Company etc have to work extra hard to promote themselves in the industry.
depending on where the company comes from. for example, there is a group with mediocre performances and songs as well as choreo that just dances, but once it comes from 3 big companies it will immediately explode. I don't know why, but the saying that if there is money there is power is true.
It makes me so sad. I don't think any amount of love from the rest of the world will ever compensate for not being loved, acknowledged, and accepted by your own people in your own country. I think that's why their fan base supports them so ferociously. It makes no sense to be consistently putting music this good out into the world and being ignored. 😔

Meanwhile, we have 7 amazing vocalists, any one of whom could be the main vocalist in another group, show casing their talent for years in relative obscurity in their home country. More Koreans should be proud of what they have achieved, especially as ambassadors for their country abroad. There really is no JUSTICE.

You're right. This song is not quite the same without Siyeon, but... As you may have heard, Siyeon is taking some time of. It's the usual "health issues and anxiety" thing. Naturally we all wish her the best and appreciate that she is taking care of herself. Her health comes first. In her absence, SuA has stepped in to take her role and she's doing a very respectable job of it. There are live stages and comeback stages out there where she basically slays the high notes Siyeon usually takes care of. Handong also stepped in and took her "fi-i-i-i-ght!" spot in the first chorus and she did pretty good too. So, as you said, it's not quite the same without Siyeon but they're doing a really, and I mean really good job filling the gap while Siyeon takes her break.
