If I’m not mistaken the kits moulded in the darker more brittle and hard plastic are the kits produced in Britain, I remember the first issue of the victor b1 was moulded in this colour for this reason. I could be talking rubbish however 😂
That darker plastic does seem a bit weird looking. I think the tooling dates back about 10 years but is a 'new-ish' tooling and looks quite nice. I plan to get that kit later in the month.

Yeah it seems a nice kit. Saying that, I think the new Buccaneer has dark plastic too.
