Rodrigo y Gabriela (Rodrigo and Gabriela) are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo whose music is influenced by a number of genres including nuevo flamenco, rock, and heavy metal. The duo's recordings consist largely of instrumental duets on the #flamenco #guitar. Currently residing in Mexico City, they began their career in Dublin, Ireland, during an eight-year stay. They have released five studio albums, three live albums and one EP. In 2011, they collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides soundtrack while also contributing to the soundtrack for Puss in Boots. They have toured internationally and in May 2010, performed at The White House for President Barack Obama. In January 2020, their fifth studio album Mettavolution won a Grammy Award for the 'Best Contemporary Instrumental Album' at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.

Gabriela y Rodrigo , very awesome, beautiful Mexican Talent.
These two are the reason I picked up guitar. I'll always owe them for giving me that inspiration to start learning.

I can’t believe it. These two are far beyond good. There at a level that makes no sense to the average person. In other words there phenomenal. I’m so excited I can’t sit still, its nuts. How does she do that, with her slap hand finger nail playing? and the guy is so intense that you know that the both of them have a Telekinesis type of communication with each other that is transparent when there in that “Zone” I myself can see it feel it , and no I’m not on drugs. I’m Intuitive

it´s calles basic rasgueo, I think you anglo people dont really know much about classical guitar, but trust me in 1 month you can do that and in the right way cause she is doing it more simple than it should be ..
there are like 6 dif types of rasgue , two, thres fingers, "abanico" etc etcyou can se some of thses rasgueos properly played, also some other techniques like "picado" alza púa, tremolo" etc in this video:

@@shiroumxm2052 Oh man, finally someone who knows what they're listening to here! So many people getting hardons for two very 'intermediate' guitar players... only because it's probably their first experience at hearing nylon string guitar playing. I lived in New Mexico, where there are many players better than this, which you can hear almost every weekend. I was a classical guitar player (until i ruined my wrists), and to me, these two “musicians” are at slightly above average skill level with the nylon guitar (classical guitar uses nylon string in addition to flamenco). Seriously, the dude hits dropped notes everywhere and butchers chords left and right. These two probably couldn't get any other gig, came up with a gimmick to play metal type of music on a nylon string and are now blowing silly people away. Such a pity that real nylon guitar players are not being heard. One comment claimed that this is "truly art". Wow! I'm amazed at how culturally ignorant people are. They hear Metallica on a nylon sting, and they lose their minds. What a gimmick act!

This is the most phenomenal guitar playing I have eve heard! Granted the sound was way to low and I had to turn up the volume. I heard Misty Moses on Radio Margaritaville and it was the first time I had heard of Rodrigo Y Gabriela. OMG these two call kill the guitar! Fantastic job!

no los llamaría talento fuera de serie, en realidad es bien básico lo que ahcen.. eso de tocar con plumilla una guitarra clasica es generalmente cuando no has podido aprender las veraderas técninas de guitarra clasica porque son difíciles y toman muuuuuuchos años y esfuerzo asi que tocan con plumilla para mas facil..
Ella solo toca un rasgueo muy sencillo
Estos si son talentos fuera de serie tocan solos sin una eprsona haciendo acordes como la chava

Tee Cee i would have enjoyed it much more if i was not in fear of my sound system blowing up due to pushing it beyond its limits just to be audible , this issue can be fixed by the person that uploaded the clip easily in youtube .

Another great set by them. RATM. .lol. They just loved the same music as me. Wish I had an ounce of their talent though. Gabriela doesn't play the guitar. She feels it. She caresses, tickles, beats and strangles it and there is something so erotic and passionate about the whole way she becomes one with the music.
