      Can you post a front axel replacement for the FWD 2013 ford fusion? There's not a single video on TH-cam for the 2013-2023 model fusions.

    I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. Mostly for the sizes of the bolts. I had to drive an hour away to fix one of these in a foot of snow. Rescue mission was a success. Thank you so much. I didn't need anything else

      Was your steering wheel stiff when you had cv axle problems ?

    • @rotisserieprotocol3582
      @rotisserieprotocol3582 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@elvis480 So my steering was stiff due to another issue I had at the time, but it was unrelated to the axle. It came from my ABS sensor. I hope that helps!
      *edit*
      Though it may come from those outer parts that connect to the tire, I know there's some joints in there and the rubber boots can slip off and the joints can start rusting. But don't take my word for it obviously. Just a thought.

      @@rotisserieprotocol3582 yeah my steering has been stiff a little and whenever I turn left or right , my car makes a popping grinding noise so I think it’s my axles

      @elvis480, the popping sound is your CV joint, most likely, stiffness is probably got to to something with your steering fluid/ Steering fluid line.

    If wanting to attempt this yourself, it is indeed easy. Only part that gave me trouble was the ball joint. It was catching on itself as it was trying to come out. Just had to move things around a little so it would fall out. Excellent video with all the info needed to complete the work. I did both sides in 2 hours. Fighting with that ball joint cost me 30 minutes. Also, be aware of the brake dust shield. If you bump it too much while working it may rub on the rotor after you finish the install. It will cause a metallic sound as you drive, just bend it back.

      I tried doing it on mine and i haaaaaaate the ball joint so much. I gave up on it.

    • @dknot246
      @dknot246 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RicardoPCGameryou can do it, just ask a friend for help. I needed an extra pair of hands on mine so I could move two pieces at once to line it up so it would slide out. Don't give up just yet. Lol. The passenger side was my problem side. The driver side came out perfectly

    • @RicardoPCGamer
      @RicardoPCGamer หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dknot246 I learned the trick to get the Balljoint out. The Balljoint is at an angle. It will not come out pulling straight down. I gave it hell and nothing. If you grab the knuckle and push it in from the bottom. Then pull down on the control arm, the Balljoint will pop out easily.

    You do not need to remove that front splash shield. All the work required happens on the backside of the engine well away from the square shield.

    Why would anyone suggest to DIY without a lift to remove ball joint ? Rather just remove 2 strut bolts & done!

      Yep lol that's what I did. My ST is actually just that one pinch bolt. Tbf my coilovers are slide out with no problem where as stock, rusty dampers need to reverse the bolt against a piece of metal so the knuckle expands and the dampers falls out.

      Technically you’d need an alignment if you pull the strut out of the knuckle. Technically.

      The inner is lubed by the differential oil splashing around.

    • @buckalvinpossumweight6252
      @buckalvinpossumweight6252 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bluezhawg2104 ah, ok. Thank you very much. I replaced the CV axle and the loaded steering knuckle myself yesterday although the only two issues that I had was the tie rod end the screw or bolt that is at the end of the tie rod with the boot it didn't quite go all the way up into the steering knuckle there's probably a half of an inch between the rubber grommet boot and the bottom of the steering knuckle. I hope that's okay. The other issue I had was the ball joint not quite fully being all the way inside it is basically all the way there but whenever I went to go put the bolt through you can see that there is a tiny sliver of the bottom portion of the ball joint sticking in the way and so therefore the bolt didn't quite go all the way through or I had to use the impact to pull the bolt all the way through. So is literally just a tiny sliver of the ball joint obstructing the boat from passing all the way through. And then I did have to bang on the tie rod a little bit to try to get it up in there and then I can tell my alignment is out a little bit although I will try to get it realigned tomorrow
