  • FORD FOCUS MK3 PASSENGER SIDE RIGHT CV AXLE DRIVE SHAFT REPLACEMENT REMOVAL
    If you need to remove the driver side cv axle passenger shaft or replace the passenger side cv axle drive shaft on Ford Focus MK3 third generation we will show you how to do that. If the cv axle is worn out you will be able to hear clicking from the cx axle when you make a turn and especially if you try to accelerate in a turn. In this video we will demonstrate how to remove or replace the passenger side cv axle drive shaft on a 2013 Ford Focus but the procedure to remove and replace the passenger side cv axle drive shaft should apply to the whole first generation Ford Focus.

    I like your advice related to brake line care and removal of speed sensor to avoid damage. Usually the axle nuts are “jamb” type which I usually replace, and sometimes come with a new axle. Great job!

    Thank you for this video. I see that there are a few specialized tools needed. The work is straight forward but with limited working room, ...as usual.

    Is there a way to save transmission fluid from coming out. I'm homeless and live out of car. Tight on money

    Is this the same procedure on a manual transmission ford focus?

    • @es-qf2gw
      @es-qf2gw 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @puneloco it's basically the same procedure, just that the manual transmission for the left axle you need a slide hammer and the cv axle adapter for the MTX75 manual, the axle popper tool doesnt work too well do too clearance issues.

      Currently doing mine on a 2013 5sp manual. Gave the driver side cup a few taps with a hammer while applying slight force with a large wide flat blade and it came out.

      @@stevenwilliams9138 That aluminum housing that you were probably partially prying on, can be pretty weak and break; you got lucky I think, but it worked out it seems.

    The video says many times you can find the specific tool, fluid etc you used in the description. Am I missing something?

    I hit the crb and cv axle came out , though it lonly looks like the smaller portion came out . I mean the part that goes into transmission . 2016 Focus SE automatic transmission 2.0 L . The CV axle only popped out from the rubber boot which goes into transmission so why does yours come with a long shaft ? Is this the same car ?

    I just need that shaft bearing mounted on frame . 2015 SE 2.0L automatic trans .The one held by three bolts . Soo , I have to do all of what's shown on video ? Is it possible to just remove the two nuts holding it then slightly moving shaft to the side so I can get to it ? Going to junk yard in the morning

    That atf looks like used engine oil. the car should drive much better when new fluid and shafts installed.

  • @stevenwilliams9138
    @stevenwilliams9138 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    There's not a link to the oil in the description, and is it the same for the manual transmission? Or is it the same as the manual transmission oil?
