I have two wheel drive trd offroad that cames with rear lockers never had to use it so far but its good thing to have on board if ever I'm needing to use it.

I always turned it on on my first Tacoma when I would go on light trail runs.I recommend doing the same, Will probably still be using it on my 4x4 on the lighter trails.

I have a 2018 sr5 and I will be going through deep sand and have been through deep sand but struggled somehow. Should I turn of trac or should I hold the button down for 3 seconds and turn all off? It seems like when I held the button down and turned them off I struggled and my engine died down while going through deep sand. 😖

Does it reset each time when you turn ignition off? I tried turning back off when I got back in the truck but not sure if I turned it off again or it was still off?

I have to press and hold each time i want to have full trac off. Pushing the trac off button will have auto lsd on as default. Hold it down for trac off completely. Pay mind to the dashboard ad you will see the lights switch over

If I was to get a two wheel drive Tacoma , would I be able to do burnouts or do I need to turn that off every time I get in?

I’m having a problem with my Tacoma. I turned off the trac and now I’m trying to turn it back on but now it doesn’t…

Should have driven 4 more miles before the video so you'd have 12345 miles

Why would you want to turn off traction control if your spinning and turn lsd on. Is traction control allowing your slip wheel to slow down and give more power to the wheel non slipping. Is LSD allowing you to slip just a little bit? I don’t get what the difference is

I know it’s been awhile since you asked this but if you are just in your standard driving mode and the truck senses wheel slip like on snow, it will both cut engine power and apply braking force with the brakes to the spinning wheel. When you hit the button one time and see Auto LSD, then you are telling the computer that you know that you are on a slippery surface and you want the computer to use the brake force more aggressively to stop the spinning wheel but you still want full engine power/throttle response because if you are climbing a hill with loose dirt for example you don’t want to loose momentum. So normal mode cuts engine power and applies brakes to spinning wheel, auto LSD mode applies the brakes more aggressively but gives you full power control to push through whatever surface you are on.
