That the only reason he got off is because Vance helped green light a mission in Afghanistan (if I’m remembering correct) the truth is people hate Vance because he’s as much as an alpha personality as Gibbs. As an audience, Gibbs is the MC and therefore the protagonist who we are supposed to like no matter what. But Gibbs has done this and worse to suspects. Let’s not forget how he set up Alejandro to kill his own sister. Anyway, point being they all have been wrong before and taken shortcuts to confession

I was just stating facts, that in this specific interrogation, Vance let emotions override his common sense and abused his power as the interrogator. Also, I've watched every episode of NCIS, I know Gibbs gets emotional and makes bad judgement calls. I never implied that Gibbs was innocent of ever doing something like this.
