Man, Ekko and Jayce has tragic lives. Before Season 2, they were struggling for their society they built and their society was awesome to them. Then, season 2 arrives, Jayce is sent to literally hell that is future. Ekko got send to a parallel universe where everything was better. He literally tasted the best of the best. At first, I was thinking how unlucky was Jayce. Then, I realized Ekko saw something beautiful that he could never achieve. What a nightmare that is? And he didn't even hesitate to leave there. I don't know if you read/watched Naruto but one of the main theme is having a bad life(no family and friends) vs losing a good life(losing every family member you have). What Jayce and Ekko experience was similar in Season 2. One of them was having the worst possible experience and other one was having the best one but to lose it regardless. And I really don't know which is worse. Two heroes winning wars but at what cost? They saved everyone but themselves. I love and hate the writers for it. It is a great tragedy that is written well. I liked the characters so much that I hated what happened to them. I know most of you will find things that you do not agree in this long a** comment. It is quite normal. Everyone can have different opinions after all. What I am asking you is to reply kindly.
Ngl I’d kill myself if I was out in either situation living through hell like jayce I’d likely just feel numbed and wanted it to end which would mean I’d do it myself or just let one of the monsters take me while living the ideal world like ekko would make me think that “all that effort all that hard work all my trials and tribulations, was nothing nothing to this world nothing to this version of me that made one decision differently that had one situation happened differently” and then kill myself as the realization set in that my life was worthless compared to the ideal
Gotta say though Jayce goes from this Dark Souls hell, to getting to hug his bro till the end of their time. While Ekko goes from the best time of his life to having to let go of everyone he loves and return to get beat the fuck up by glorious evolutionites and almost failing.
This making me question whether I suffer from problems being associated with existentialism or suffer from problems being associated with paranoia and stress.

People don't give Jayce a real credit, the guy was literally close to death in several timelines, Viktor rescued him with the sole purpose of having Jayce himself stop him from his actions in one timeline. So, Jayce fails in many universes and in the end he succeeds... he went through misfortune until he achieved the one in a million.
Ekko and Jayce would've give up. They both were living the extreme opposite of hextech efects. Ekko found a happy life with powder in new Zaun Jayce found a post-apocalyptic future due his mistakes Both had their feet in the ground at the moment they choose to continue their fate.
