Im glad that Venom is in here as although he didn't experience everything first hand, he was forced to carry Naked's Trauma too. Every bit of pain and regret that Naked Snake had was also given to Venom. Even after finding out he was just a phantom, Venom carried on and fought for his Best friend.
yes, and it's interesting to think that Venom is actually his own character but with same memories as BB. I hate when people say that he's just a medic, yes, he is a medic, but he's also an example of how genes are nothing in comparison to pure power of will, loyalty to a cause, and free will. one of the great dilemmas of the original MGS and MGS2. he could have done anything he wanted, he could have abandoned BB and go his own way but he stayed, why? was he manipulated? I doubt it. actually more that I think about it, if Venom didn't have much reason to stay with BB, he must have had the same ideals as BB? idk if that goes against or with Kojima's idea about free will.

Yeah but you don’t know if venom actually experienced his own very tragic life before he was a member of msf and am pretty sure every msf staff and DD staff had there own very tragic event that could surpass big boss own tragic life after all venom is an unknown character, people still remember who big boss is and began to appreciated him in mgs4 however for venom he was just another forgotten tragic soldier who swore to protect one man that lived too long to become the villain hence why he is called several times in the credits of mgsv “punished” snake which am talking about venom snake here so I would say the most tragic snake is venom.

Even sadder was the fact mgs 5 had amazing gameplay at that was about it, personally i loved the hours of cutscenes from the previous games yet i felt nothing at the end of 5.. That was the saddest thing 😥

He played a part in turning the world into an endless battlefield, but goddamn if I don't feel my heart break for this man every time. I love this story so much, I still feel the phantom pain of not having any new metal gears to play.
i beat MGS3 when i was around 6 years old. i understood the story so well though. but playing it again at the current age of 20 is insane because i noticed how much beauty and great moments i never truly cherished. the entire Metal Gear Solid saga is probably the most beautiful story in existence. play all of these games if you haven’t already. 🖤
Same here bro I just turned 8 when I beat mgs2 and mgs3 and I loved the story even at that age... I can remember using stealth and cqc just playing guns with kids in the neighborhood and they were all like "what the fuck"

I feel the song just encapsulates the suffering Big Boss went through so well, and this video visualizes it all so excellently. The the bit starting at 2:44 leading to the revolver duel and playing right into the guitar solo was so fucking epic, that I still get chills when I come back to this video every once in a while. The ending of MGS3 shook me to the core the first time I played it (was 12 years old at the time), just as MGS2 did when I was 9 and MGS1 when I was 8. Love these games so much. Also, this Starsailor album that this song is on, ' Love is Here ' had become one of my favorite albums over the years. Definitely worth a listen for those of you that haven't listened to their other songs.
i was 16 in 2004 when i played MGS3....bought the hd collection as soon as it came out in 2011, but my xbox 360 died the same day...lol...its been 19 years since i last played it, can't wait!!

flawless syncing on most parts,this has to be the most well done mgs tribute I have seen so far,maybe the thumbnail isn't really fitting when you see it at first but after thinking it through it's alright
Well done. I have to say, I spent so much time being upset about what I didn't like in MGSV that viewing my player character as an extension of MGS3 was something I hadn't done, and this video's great editing helped me fix that. I still have my problems with MGSV, but at least for a few minutes here it felt like some closure.

The only way this could've been better would be if you had some scenes from Portable Ops somewhere. Even though it's cutscene style doesn't match up too well with what you used, it's one of the most important elements in the fall of Big Boss
You gotta think about how much of a legend the big boss is… saw a nuke go off(didn’t go blind) defeated a black ops unit that served in ww2, infiltrated USSR, destroyed a weapons plant, assassinated a high ranking officer in the USSR military and that was before he built his own mercenary company and took on the CIA.

That's because this was made before MGSV was released and everybody assumed Venom Snake was the real Big Boss.

You gotta think about how much of a legend the big boss is… saw a nuke go off(didn’t go blind) defeated a black ops unit that served in ww2, infiltrated USSR, destroyed a weapons plant, assassinated a high ranking officer in the USSR military and that was before he built his own mercenary company and took on the CIA.
