I’ll always remember the goosebumps I felt hearing this song for the first time at E3 2013 when she sang “Let me suffer now” and we see Venom carry Miller into the sunset and cutting to “Snake is Back!” So fucking cool.
You've been through a lot, forged by the flames of war, been face-to-face with the demon himself. Sacrificed more for the sake of his kin and his country. You are more than just a man. A Soldier. A true Hero. I salute you Random Medic.
The true greatness of this song and the game is in idea that was perfectly transformed into song lyrics and game plot: Sins of our parents (and everyone else's) will haunt us as long as we will fight them. No war can be stoped by winning. We have to accept the truth, make conclusions and forgive us all. Any other actions or attempts to "fix it" will lead us to new sins that will be inherited by the next generation.
It ain't incomplete, but I do wish we got Eli's lost episode, the only real incomplete part, because he has a giant ass robot so we should of had to do his mission.
That’s Kojimbos true genius, he was planning to make the game leak your address to assassins who would dismember you so you have a phantom pain but they settled for that.
I think they actually put this in the right place And the quiet jeep ride lets you think about what skull face wants and does Not to mention that the meaning fits the whole atmosphere
The music, the tone, the atmosphere, the background of the characters. It was all so perfect to make an incredible masterpiece. A masterpiece that will never be completed. Knowing that fact, fills me with pain in my heart. No, not just me. This pain, is ours. This, is our own Phantom Pain.
That was deep. But what if the ending to V was actually Kojima telling us to keep fighting for what we believe in and that we are all Big Boss now, a loyal soldier who would give our identities for him. We are all Big Boss now.
My friend, I know your pain 😔 But see, the franchise IS complete, the god kojima made his last job on Konami fill de Blanc spaces in the story, even without the mission 51, the game is full of kojima's love and respect for his fans, for we all are big boss
Looking back on it there were a few signs pointing toward the twist in the game. the references to things like imitations and knock offs, how Volgin reacted once he finally got his hands on us, the beginning of the game where we create a character for Big boss's surgery, the transition from the character creation screen back into the game, Ishmael saying your talking to yourself when asked who he is, and even the little details like how venom snake moves compared to big boss. Venom might fully believe he's the original until the end, but his body seems to move just a bit different than someone who has only ever trained to kill. He's slightly kinder in his body language. Which is a neat little detail.
Venom Snake's punch and Donna Burke's "WHOOAAA-HOOOOO" @ 4:10-4:17 was synced so perfectly!!! Awesome Video!!!!! Here's to hoping you are able to pull of something like this for Quiet's Theme.
1984 - That was the time when the world was plunging into darkness. The time of pain and suffering. The time when no one truly understands about the sacrifices of brave men. The time of fighting for salvation and freedom. The time when Naked Snake dies with his memories of sorrow and thus, the antagonistic dark side Big Boss and his Phantom Punished "Venom Snake" was born (with reference to 4:16). And the time when Outer Haven and the new World Order was established. [Shedding manly tears.]
+Shane Pjw I'm not so sure. I don't think Naked Snake ever truly died. Nor do I think Big Boss was ever a dark side in himself. Venom Snake became the dark side of Big Boss. Naked Snake remained the Legend/light side of Big Boss. We do see the Fall of Big Boss. By our own hands, as Venom Snake, Big Boss is tainted by bloodshed and revenge, becoming the ruthless warlord in the eyes of the World. We do not see the struggle of Big Boss, as the Legend strives against the Patriots, reclaiming FOX HOUND in his efforts. Only to lose it when the gamble of Operation Intrude N313 to make the Patriots reveal their hand as puppet masters fails due to Solid Snake. To be certain, Naked Snake lost a good deal of his idealism following the fall of MSF. But I don't think he stopped being a Hero. Otherwise, his good actions in Zanzibarland, forgiving those who rebelled against Venom, helping child soldiers and such, wouldn't make sense. And his words to Snake then make much more sense. "The survivor will carry on the fight." against the Patriots.
+VindicAlpha "Otherwise, his good actions in Zanzibarland, forgiving those who rebelled against Venom," what happened there? in that particular sentence about "forgiving those who rebelled" in MG 1 I mean. +Dog God Basically, there was a rebellion/guerrilla force against Big Boss/Venom Snake in Outer Heaven, which helped Solid Snake during his mission. It was mostly about Big Boss/Venom Snake being a brutal warlord that they felt needed to be overthrown/defeated. They were promptly abandoned on site once the TX-55 was dealt with and then Outer Heaven was bombed into non-existence. Big Boss/Naked Snake got everyone out before the bombardment came, loyalists and rebels/guerrilla alike. We know that since a former Outer Heaven rebel (who had given Snake information and help during Intrude N313) actually tells Solid Snake in Zanzibarland about how the West abandoned them, but Big Boss/Naked Snake came back for them and restored their faith and loyalty in him. Keep in mind that, as far as anyone was concerned, there was only one Big Boss. So the change in methods (and survival from multiple missiles to the face) surprised many, but Big Boss' charisma pulled it off. Mind, there's also the fact that Zanzibarland was doing fuck all in terms of aggression against nearby polities. It was just turtling up, even their Metal Gears were mostly defensive in engineering. Solid Snake was sent in solely because it came out that they were making Metal Gears (officially) and that the leader of Zanzibarland might be Big Boss (the real reason for the Patriots). Not that Snake and the general public knew of the second reason.

To unite America and the entire world. The major thought this was his friend's will. But I think he never understood what she wanted. Before he ever walked, or cried - even before he was born - his mother tongue was English. He doesn't know the pain of losing his own language. Not yet. He cannot understand her will. I do. I was born in a small village. I was still a child when we were raided by soldiers. Foreign soldiers. Torn from my elders, I was made to speak their language. With each new post, my masters changed, along with the words they made me speak. Words are... peculiar. With each change, I changed too. My thoughts, personality, how I saw right and wrong... War changed me - and not only my visage. Words can kill. I was invaded by words, burrowing and breeding inside me. A philosopher once said, "It is no nation we inhabit, but a language." "Make no mistake, our native tongue is our true fatherland." My fatherland - my truth was stolen from me. And so was my past. All that's left is the future. And mine is revenge. On those who'd leech off the words of their fellow man. This is what I learned from the major. And then it hit me. It was he who should feel my wrath. He and the code he chose as basis for control. Language codes, information codes - beamed all around us - genetic codes spanning history. By controlling the codes, Cipher... Zero intends to unify the world. Codes implanted into our heads, sucking our minds dry as it spreads from one host to the next. A parasite upon the earth. That is what Zero is. As one born into this world, he's afflicted. I hold him responsible for killing my freedom. Killing all traces of my past... Killing any promise of a future... We are all but dead men forced to walk upon this earth. A world reduced to Zero. Cipher plans to use its codes to control the world. They think they can. And the "mother tongue" of all those codes is English. It knows English. An English strain of the vocal cord parasite. I will exterminate the English language. With this, I'll rid the world of infestation. All men will breathe free again - reclaim their past, present, and future. This is no ethnic cleanser. It is a "liberator," to free the world from Zero. Let the world be. Sans lingua franca, the world will be torn asunder. And then, it shall be free. People will suffer, of course - a phantom pain. The world will need a new common tongue. A language of nukes. My Metal Gears shall be the thread by which all countries are bound together, in equality. No words will be needed. Every man will be forced to recognize his neighbor. People will swallow their pain. They will link lost hands. And the world will become one. This war is peace. When the world witnesses Sahelanthropus, the hands of the doomsday clock will roll on, regardless of Zero. Sahelanthropus will take the first giant step into a brave new world. It is the bell with which a world - trodden upon by words - declares its independence. You too have known loss. And that loss torments you still. You hope hatred... might someday replace the pain. But it never goes away. It makes a man hideous inside and out. Wouldn't you agree? We both are demons. Our humanity won't return. You. Me. We've no place to run, nowhere to hide. And that is why I will show you my demon. Yes, that's right. You see a skull face. You see me. This skull is who I am. My mark, my proof of humanity. I have no country, no language, I have no face, but I haven't lost my skull. So I told myself... The pain and effort that keep me alive will never know relief, never bear fruit, never be repaid. I know that, but I told myself to focus on some hope, a nonexistent hope to guide me through this burning world. A hope - call it a dream. A melancholic delusion. As the pressures within me stretch me to bursting, and I force myself not to cry out, though the words I thought were carved into me are gone, and all I knew is dead. I know how you feel. I've felt that. So show me. That I'm not the only one. That you too can return to this world, for revenge.
"I'm big boss and so is you". What a masterpiece ending to this legendary series, it truly was for me the greatest game series of all time, been playing it since MGS1 up to now :' ). MGSV True ending is for the MGS fans that player the series all their lives with big boss telling us your big boss too, like we were big boss all along cuz we seen his story and guided him through it all along. Hideo Kojima is truly a genius game developer to have thought of this.
And the legacy goes on, of the man known as Snake. The man who cheated death many times. A god in his position. The god of Outer Heaven. The legendary Solid Snake will continue on.
William Carrasco Still though, much better than the whole "you were actually him all along!!" stunt. It would've ACTUALLY given a bigger role to Solidus, which is so much less relevant to the whole MGS storyline than what he's supposed to be. Hell, he's the perfect clone of Big Boss, don't you think he would've had a much better role than just being the antagonist of MGS 2?
gamer9974 nah it would be worse if they did do that, fans would be outraged because it wouldn't be consistent with the MG story. At least venom snake somewhat makes sense. I would've preferred if we were playing as the real Big Boss the entire time.
Feels weird listening to this right after listening to Devil May Cry songs like "Your Legacy". The beginning kinda sounds it's part of the "Legacy" song.
I think they should have put the piano part when you rescue Miller, it's a pretty touching moment, just like in the trailer, that jeep ride was hella awkward
I show my son the cassette tape and recorder since he like this song too. First thing he says "Dad, What's that?" I laughed so hard I almost pee myself! Those days and mgs games (^^,)
@@1ial691 I feel like we got to cover up the full story of solid snake, but not big boss and that makes me sad but for whatever this game is I think I'm fine with it :)
The gameplay was awsome the story wasnt that good but it was good as well....I feel like the story was meant to be a war between konami and kojima...and at the end kojima became a phantom becuase he was used by konami.....its like us in a way that we fan bought the game we played it but we gave our income to konami not kojima....so I feel like this whole game was a perpective from kojima views telling us how konami is...but also its a from past mgs game it gives up the way on how makerting works at the same time with fans and also targeting a new audience...its just amazing and weird how an old generation like us can accept a new generation that dont understand the past...I know im not making any sense but I see that way
Okay so to be real MGS:V:PP has probably the deepest strory of all the metal gear games, but most people don't notice the depth of the story. Just take note of how many actual historical things are in the game, and then think of the last time you could actually say that this fits in the real world's timeline. Then take note on how many loose ends this game fixes for metal gear ie metal gear, metal gear 2, metal gear solid, metal gear solid 3 and peace walker. I'm not going to go in depth because I want people to experience the story but there you go. Metal Gear will probably never be as good as V ever again and Kojima I hope one day you get the rights back to the franchise and can continue the epic storyline
I hope he does get the right back and have a mgs game based of big boss after tpp and how he build up outer heaven for mg2: solid snake the true outer heaven
+Jarr Yes my friend Thank for upload i search through town and ask gypsy pirate seller but noone have this song and it make me sad so i go to house and tell mother my search fail so she says "go on amerikanski your tubes and look for song" and i boot up pentium 2 and search for song and there it is! Is pretty good! I like instrumental good, kojima play violin like fiddle. And i like sing, i search for lady who sing on the googles and she is very mama. I have many lust for her.
If Kojima and Konami could someday come to some sort of agreement, I hope they continue MGS5's story from the real Big Boss's point of view so we can finally have the full picture of everything that happened. I still very much doubt Huey killed Dr. Strangelove and I'd really liked to see that finally be cleared up or at least explained if he actually did do it.
MGSV ending was the most amazing ending I've ever seen in my looooong gaming life. He not only explained perfectly why we had to kill BigBoss twice, but also put US, the players, in the shoes of the big boss clone. I really felt like it was Kojima saying "thank you for all your support, now, we're big boss" lol

My hand
@@beepmcgleep3973 oh my god NO!!!!
Oh hi quiet, are you making venom snake a happy man?
Solid Snake Whaaaa
Henri_disap small villain, big impact.
Suitable conversation riding a jeep.
I listen to this and get goosebumps. Met the series with MGSV, but went through all the other parts after.
spoilers or not, really well made video, the background was perfect
this song goes too hard. intergenerational trauma anthem
´´A Hideo Kojima Game´´
Still rocking that pfp 3 years later huh? Godlike
Forever
Because fuck Konami
A Hideo Kojima Playable Movie
It's a honor to be a metal gear fan.
Kept you waiting huh
Venom Snake naked is better
Yes, you were, and ive been waiting for you
Yes indeed
Your pretty good
Words that kill
Would you speak them to me?
+Infinity Blade Kenny and Mark with your breath so still it make me belive

Let me suffer now, and never diieeeeeeeee.
I AM ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!
Panzermann11 can't wash this blood of my hands
This is one of the best songs in the game. I remember Monsters VS Aliens Project MGS, where General Monger introduced Ginormica.
Do Quiet's Theme now and i'll love you forever
+Caio Pagy This is Quiet's theme.
+000,00% DIGNITY this is Sin's of the father.........
+000,00% DIGNITY Ok, so if Sin's of the Father is Quiet's Theme, then why is there a song called "Quiet's Theme"?
spudzer man It's basically a "humming" version of the intro in Sins of the father.
000,00% DIGNITY were you living in a rock? there is a ''final'' version with full lyrics and stuff...
Masterpiece.
Metal gear solid is a rare beautiful incomplete masterpiece.
*And that is the phantom pain. Still hurting.*
Metal gear was complete after mgs 4 though
@@alexdamand9003 no
@By Cem I've noticed that unliked every other version of this song you can hear the sounds and the background hymming, I love it thanks for the upload
Venom Snake is the true hero of Metal Gear.
Villain*
Jarrah Al Baker*Hero
Alpha Teorico he is considered a villain in mg on the msx
Jarrah Al Baker I know but he is a Hero.
Alpha Teorico well there is no such thing as a hero or villain in metal gear
And yet we still push on like dogs. Diamond Dogs
I play this song when fighting Sahelanthropus.
They played us LIKE A DAMN *FIDDLE!*
WHOOOOOOOOOO!!
GIVE IT BACK! THIS ISN'T RIGHT THAT WAS OURS! WE BUILT IT DAMN IT!
RIP Metal Gear (1987 - 2015)
"I'm big boss and so is you".
What a masterpiece ending to this legendary series, it truly was for me the greatest game series of all time, been playing it since MGS1 up to now :' ).
MGSV True ending is for the MGS fans that player the series all their lives with big boss telling us your big boss too, like we were big boss all along cuz we seen his story and guided him through it all along.
Hideo Kojima is truly a genius game developer to have thought of this.
I would also panic if I woke up nine years into the future. He's literally me!!! 🐍
Very well done video, keep going!!
This select my favorite scenes from TPP.
Ocelot sure is patient.
When you vape for 4 hours straight to pass time before heading out.
the phantom juul
the phantom keef
3:19 is my favorite part of the song
i appreciate how you synced the punch with the last "woah"
Now would be the perfect time for Venom to be real
Excellent. Age hasn’t slowed you down one bit.
C'mon Boss, say those magic words.
Kept you waiting huh?
You're pretty good
big boss on the motorcycle was badass
yes
Whoa! This is really well done!
this song is fucking emotional damn man...
"Mirror Smash: Woahhhhhh"
*says underbreath* Goblins...
Only Hideo Kojima can release an objectively unfinished game and still have it turn out as a masterpiece
Hideo played us like a damn fiddle
This background is sexy as hell
We live and die by your order Boss.
*Salute*
Such a lust for the Sins of the Father... whoa-WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!?!?
Click x to offer respects to the series

And the legacy goes on, of the man known as Snake. The man who cheated death many times. A god in his position. The god of Outer Heaven. The legendary Solid Snake will continue on.
You know what would've been interesting? If Solidus was actually Venom.
I don't think solidus would've been old enough to be Venom. Just judging from Eli I'm sure solidus is around the same age.
William Carrasco Kek, agreed now that you mention it.
It would have fit way better if Venom Snake was Chico.
I was so sad this game ended so quickly 50 missions weren't enough at all .
2024 anyone. this songs so powerful with the emotional aspect😊❤❤❤
Feels weird listening to this right after listening to Devil May Cry songs like "Your Legacy". The beginning kinda sounds it's part of the "Legacy" song.
Snake is my idol. Fearless, but very emotional.
I can't unsee the fact that the boss switches the blind eye with the good one
Harika işler çıkartıyorsun ortaya umarım ilerde çok başarılı olursun :)
I think they should have put the piano part when you rescue Miller, it's a pretty touching moment, just like in the trailer, that jeep ride was hella awkward
I show my son the cassette tape and recorder since he like this song too. First thing he says
"Dad, What's that?" I laughed so hard I almost pee myself! Those days and mgs games (^^,)
The real Phantom Pain is knowing that this was the last real Metal Gear game. Portable ops was good even not being a kojima ge, though
no the real phantom paun is knowing that this is the last mgs and that it was incomplete
If only the game was complete, there would be no phantom pain.
@@1ial691 I feel like we got to cover up the full story of solid snake, but not big boss and that makes me sad but for whatever this game is I think I'm fine with it :)
I’ll never get over how they made the best song in the series and used it in the worst way possible.
*How to shatter glass with just your voice:*
WO HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Thanks , may all be heroes in their own heroes way..... take care my friends
I love format for these videos
The gameplay was awsome the story wasnt that good but it was good as well....I feel like the story was meant to be a war between konami and kojima...and at the end kojima became a phantom becuase he was used by konami.....its like us in a way that we fan bought the game we played it but we gave our income to konami not kojima....so I feel like this whole game was a perpective from kojima views telling us how konami is...but also its a from past mgs game it gives up the way on how makerting works at the same time with fans and also targeting a new audience...its just amazing and weird how an old generation like us can accept a new generation that dont understand the past...I know im not making any sense but I see that way
I get you man, may Metal Gear Pachinko die
+Bad Company big boss didn't die for that shit
awesome shit Neither did Venom
Big boss didn't deceived venom only. He deceived us too
Eline Sağlık Kardeşim.
*”Kept you waiting huh?”*
great story
Thank you dude, i was looking for a good upload of this song! I found the nuclear video and went to your channel. Keep up the good work!
Huey killed Strangelove didn't you here the cassete tape of the machine?
Dude, you're amazing! Please make a video like this for Snake Eater. :)
All the THOTS keep piercing this broken mind...
Report them to the IRS
This made me laugh out crazy at my workplace
them hoes trying to get your depressed boyy
"In Outer Heaven... men becomes demons"
The ending of MGSV made me sit and think before the twist hit me I was like DAMN YOU KOJIMA!!!!!!!!!
When you play the final countdown on you’re walkman instead of listening to this song by accident
Ocelot : soooooooo......what are we doing now?
Big boss : shuuushuushuuuuusss.....just enjoy the song
Vettel:
So many s🅱️ins
So much pain

Rage,
Rage, against the dying of the light

+mrwiewiur39 Thank you!
Currently i'm working on ''Quiet's Theme'' and i'm trying to make something much better than this one.
***** Awesome, I absolutely adore Quiet's theme. Can't wait :)
that's a nice fucking video
"Keep you waiting huh ?"
He's still alive!
