We so often see " The Cold Song" lifted out of context as a song of suffering, and here we have it in a well performed and likely close to authentic segment of " King Arthur". This is wonderful! Thank you for sharing.

Wow, that's a fantastic cold genius. I think it was the best, a lot interpret the character to be shivering but I think this was much more moving as he became more animated.

I didn't know there was a Boston Purcell Society! This is marvelous!!! Wonderful job all around and I love the mix of authenticity and interpretation. This is truly close to the height of perfection for Baroque opera, in my opinion!

Fine rendition of the Cold Song... Great performance... This may be the world's hardest song to sing... I compare all versions to that of Klaus Nomi who's effort I enjoy most.

Great version! Love the visuals, especially Cupid. And the authentic instruments. Well done. Purcell was ahead of his time, love his build up and harmonies.The Chatter chorus is so modern as was his shiver idea in cold song. Still copied, see the opening of The Crown, artistic hommage! Though Purcell has probably taken his inspiration again from Lully's Isis)))

Life is so unfair. Some people are just more blessed than others. Think of the gifts showered on that young woman: grace, beauty of face and form, and a clear, responsive voice, so right for Purcell; and a blonde, too (so I'm a guy; sue me). And to top it off, discipline and determination to make such fine use of her gifts. She has it all, and what a wonderful thing she has done here. Bravo.
