Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.
Not only did I make it to the end, I got a lot of book titles to investigate. I know that had to of been an editing chore, thank you for doing it. I love your videos and reading blogs, your 60 year old fan.
I loved seeing how other people organize their books. Personally, I've been alphabetizing by books since i was about twelve and old enough to really have books of my own. I now have my books divided my genre- non fiction history, poetry, and community and culture (which has my antiracist education), then fantasy, then fiction all alphabetical by author! I love knowing exactly where to find a book when I want it which is handy with almost 300 books in my collection!
Crikey, you are so well organised. I just find a gap on the shelf and that is a book's new home, so finding it again is a little adventure. In saying that my 10 x 6ft bookshelves are full so the floor is now being utilised. At the rate I am going I will soon forget the colour of the carpet. Enjoy your reading and stay safe.

I do love the aesthetics of your bookshelves but I don't think I'd find my way around yours! A good example of what my organized chaos might look like to others. This was great!
For now, I have two (overflowing) bookshelves- one for books in French and the other one for books in English. I used to organize them by genre then by authors but I no longer can!!!💖

I adore your new shelves Regan! I'm so glad you get a whole wall in your new apartment! I can't tell you how thrilled I was when we moved into our latest apartment (about 18 months ago) and my hubby gave me a whole wall and half for my bookshelves! And I also have a wall in the bedroom too! Its so nice to have space.
Loved the tour. Thanks! One of my favorites for middle grades is The City of Ember series by Jeanne DuPrau. The City of Ember, The People of Sparks and The Diamond of Darkhold all take place in a post-apocalyptic world. There’s also a prequel, The Prophet of Yonwood.

Starting with the cassandra clare series & the final empire series also have the discovery of witches series & the bear & the nightling gale series but don't know which ones to start after the immortal instruments series!?

I fully 100% support people organizing their books however they want, but omg the separation of authors stresses me out lmao. Very pretty shelves though! (Also side note: It's Project Hail Mary, not just Hail Mary. My favourite book of 2021 hands down). Now I need to go place an order for my new list of books.

Regan, i don't know if i make it up but for some reason i remember watching your vlog re-reading harry potter loooooongg time ago (probably when you're still in Brooklyn?) But i am not so sure anymore since you don't have anymore harry potter on your shelf, so i wonder how you feel about them now?
That must have taken ages to edit! Of course I made it to the end, and saw some friends there (I think I have most in common with your nonfiction and Hobb shelves, a few other books here and there as well.) I struggle with shelving so much, I keep just being done with a lot of books and yet because of all the different sizes and genres I have, organizing is totally messy. I am just trying all the time to cut back to my absolute favorites; hopefully that will make things easier...

What's your Words Per Minute (WPM) Reading Speed ?
I got it to 417 wpm... With 89-93 comprehension. I know it's not great speed but have to start somewhere.
I get only 1 to 1 and half hrs reading time after work and study, so need to get more reading done.... 😁
Edit: you are inspiration to all of us, I used to read a book a year, but after watching your channel I got it to 20... And counting

@@PeruseProject I believe they have some hardback UK editions available too via their "marketplace" but I've never purchased a book through that module so can't give a recommendation specifically but could be worth exploring if you wanted all matching hardbacks. :)
