I encourage you Dr Dray to think about writing!! You are intelligent and interesting and I could see you really writing something to touch many readers.
I totally agree!! 🎉
I would LOVE to read her book!!!
Then she might have less time for US! 😢 But yea, she would slay.
@@AutumnElainegimp
Crane flies are nice and gentle, no worries! 💖
I love some of your verbal expressions: "by all means, carry on," and from yesterday's vlog regarding Vanicream sunscreen: "they are out to lunch. " LOL.
My favorite is "I got it from the amazonian." ❤
All of her quirky expressions are so, absolutely endearing!
My fav SPF lip balm is the Blistex Five Star Lip Protection SPF 30. It's a water resistant organic/chemical sunscreen with Avobenzone, Homosalate, and Octisalate boosted with Butyloctyl Salicylate. It also has Dimethicone and Safflower Seed Oil. It does contain flavor, but it's quite good and doesn't have that awful sunscreen taste. Highly recommend!
Same! No taste at all! Wear it daily!!! It’s super cheap as well.
I can taste the flavor and sunscreen mixture and don’t think it’s very moisturizing but it’s still my favorite spf chapstick so far. (The sun sense lip balm spf 50+ is way better but in a tube)
My daughter works full time but decided to take a writing class one evening per week and I think it's been incredibly fulfilling to her already. She is such a good writer as is but I know this will take her to a new level. I think you should do it Dr. Dray. Something tells me you have a knack for it.
I’ve been thinking about doing this too! ❤ it’s encouraging that you shared your daughter doing this while pursuing a fulltime job. It’s awesome it’s working out for her so well!
UREA WORKS AMAZING for both NAILS & CALLUSES! 😃 My 1 step wonderrr!
Gold Bond Retinol has high Urea, so I use that. Its like triple benefit 🥰 I get compliments on how nice and well kept my feet look. . And even how ' nice' my toenails are. ! 💖
I tried Whoa Glo, and I love it. The finish is more satin than glimmer, and it makes my foundation look very luminescent. Great recommendation!
I have written poetry since I was about 10 years old. I was an English tutor at a highschool for 7 years and ran a Poetry Club. I still write at times but only when something really inspires me to do so. Life gets in the way.
very cringe

It's never to late to take classes. Take one at a time. Great video. Happy Sunday!
Dr. Dray, I think we like to make the distinction here in Houston of "palmetto bugs" to make it clear we don't have "house roaches"..lol I've been here 57 years and they still scare the crap out of me! The flying ones are the worst! 😱
ALL palmetto bugs FLY. argh!!!
@@dagnolia6004 cockroaches!
Yes! The crane bugs are bouncing all around my front door! I'm in Houston as well.
Thank you for recommending the Kroger Shimmer sunscreen. I bought some after you first talked about it a while back. I was so pleased at its texture and the way it looks on the skin, but most of all, it's the only chemical sunscreen I have ever tried that does not sting my eyes. I thought I was destined to have to use nothing but mineral sunscreens on my face. I love the Neutrogena tinted mineral sunscreen in the lightest shade. But, it's hard to find an affordable mineral sunscreen that is really high SPF. I am glad I tried the Kroger sunscreen based on your recommendation.
You just made me appreciate the snow with that bug pic!
😂😂
We have Spring Peepers here in the NE. I love hearing them as they signify the real beginning of spring here.
My husband and I purchased a retirement home in California. It had been checked on periodically during covid but no one had lived in it for three years. I drove down alone (3 days of travel!) in October 2022. I opened a cupboard and a palmetto roach came zooming out at me. It was HUGE and I am bug phobic. I ran out of the place and directly to a Marriott. I was on a plane at 10:30 the next morning back to Canada. I refused to return to california until the place had been thoroughly fumigated and my husband was with me. Happy to report, I’ve now spent two winters here, but only because we have monthly pest control! True story.
Omgosh!! Sounds like that was traumatic.
😂😂😂😂😂
I recently purchased a set of those wrist bands and omg BEST 4 bucks I have spent!
They work well 👍🏼
Those cute little frogs! I have found a couple hanging out in my shoes that are inside my shoe basket by the front door! Boy was I surprised 😆 Happy Sunday!
Gift a piñata, filled with skincare & make-up favourites, to cheer up someone who's recovering from a broken heart. That way they can safely release their fustrations... and then begin the new chapter of their life by looking their best!
👱🏻♀️❤️
In Barbados there are tiny frogs called peepers. They are so feekin' loud. We had one outside the window of our hotel room that so loud it kept us awake!
That mascara routine delivers! Jealous of your lashes ❤
(( If you haven't trashed the cinnamon coffee already )) mix that bag of beans with a normal bag in a gallon ziploc and mix it up for a good three minutes. This is what I've done to avoid waste.
Reminder wear sunglasses to protect eyes. Had an eye exam Friday and had sun damage in eyes. Sunscreen and sunglasses! ❤️❤️
Lolll I’m HERE for the bug rant 😂😭 in north east, we had LANTERN FLIES. For almost 2-3 years during Covid, I didn’t go outside because look them up. They also came from china apparently on cargo boxes 🤮🤢 and they’re gigantic, and they’re in invasive species so it was freaking thousands of them.
Apparently they migrate every couple of years. Lmao forgot this was a skin video but in case you didn’t know about lantern flies.
Lantern flies! Ugh Our beaches in NJ were bombarded with them 2 summers ago. Seemed like they were falling from the sky, and they were all over beach. Very unpleasant. Hope not to see them at shore again. Rant over, now back to skin care!!
Ugh, they sound delightful 😬
Skin1004 Madagascar Sunscreen is the best. My eyes are ridicilously sensitive but this, zero irritation. It's even better than the Beauty of Joseon one because it litearally feels like nothing on the skin. I don't feel it at all. Love it.
YES!! I just started to use the Skin1004 and it’s sooooooo good!!! But it’s so little product in the bottle and you need a lot of sunscreen. :/
Yes, it feels so light and gentle on the skin. Haven’t found a better one. BoJ second best.
I bought this a month ago and agree. I absolutely love this. I alternate between this and beauty of Joseon
"Surpriiiise" That took me out!! LOL😂
I agree! We need a “Vegas Scents” category!
Happy Sunday Dr Dray!!! Love your channel.
Morning!
I love your facial expressions when you tell stories 🤣🤣
😂
I got my little boy a puffer jacket from amazon essentials line and I was so impressed with the quality! So affordable and warm/cozy/comfortable.
Ok, because of you I bought those wrist thingys 😂 and omg no lie, game changer! Love them and love not having water all down my arms when I wash my face!❤
Hair scrunchies work well also.
@@karennewman7662 good idea! I can’t pull my hair back because of thinning though so I never have any 😊
I use my old school tennis sweat bands for wrist
Hi there from Australia. I have watching your very informative blog for a while now and you are a real gem. I have been battling complex skin problems since Covid hit our community in 2021. Luckily none of the family got Covid but I had a bad reaction to the Hand Sanitizer the was made available to shoppers in the local shopping centre. Ever since then I have had intermittent dermatologist on my hands, nothing drastic but it was enough to make me edgy. Then just this year I have be diagnosed with psoriasis due to stress n having to adjust to Life with Psoriasis. Oh well, such is life. Now my life has changed in lots of ways, not so good but since I have discovered your helpful and uplifting advice I am learning to cope and continue on with being the different Me that I am. ThankYou for who you are. Pamela.
The homeopaths among us would suggest you try castor oil for the psoriasis. It is anti microbial and anti inflammatory. Many people swear by it. Much safer than steroid creams. Good luck!
Dr Dray. You are always and forever my favorite. Your videos are like talking a course in skincare.
I think your videos are your book but maybe dabble in poetry.
those toasty wrist bands are such a great idea.
I enjoyed watching this! The Vegas reference made me crack up! You are so funny and smart Thank you for talking about your foot routine. I am going to try it tonight. I hope you have a great new week!
Birthday bugs! Yay! My daughter has a March birthday. The crane flies appear just before and we celebrate them as birthday bugs. ❤
Yes, they are everywhere. I wonder if it's because it's so warm here. We also had them all over in New Orleans.
The popular name in the UK for a Crane Fly is a 'Daddy Longlegs.' The larvae are called 'leatherjackets' & here they live in the ground until emerging in September. Crows, magpies & woodpeckers love digging in my garden for these.
In the US daddy long legs are a type of spider
@@cathybrown4102 - Yes, here in Australia we have Daddy Long Legs spiders too. Because they're so flimsy and gangly, I find them quite amusing. That's why they're the only type of spider that doesn't freak me out! 😅
I love these vlogs, I learn alot from your life style dr dray to improve myself and mental wellbeing and peace of mind
I thought the same thing when I saw your coffee beans last week....HIGH SHINE!😮
They were glossy
Dr. Dray you are so funny, smart and clever. Your videos bring me so much joy! I hope you do sign up for a writing class and find it fulfilling
Dr. Dray, your mocking imitation of what the roaches were like made me bust a gut!😂😂😂 I so love your sense of humor!!
Good Day ❤and happy Sunday ❤. Really enjoy your humor you incorporate w your vast knowledge of derm etc etc. on a diff note re bugs. Dealing w lady bugs here in Mb Canada in winter albeit mild winter temps. They actually bite and have that terrible smell when killed lol.
Yes, great whit.
I think you would be a great writer!!! Love all your videos but the added store trip was awesome bonus!!! Thank you for all the work you do to get these videos out!!
A piñata full of Stanley cups. 😂 You are a national treasure Dr. Dray.
You know they're going to begin releasing Stanley cup ornaments for Xmas! They would fit perfectly in a piñata. 🙄☺️
The jellycat cuffs are so adorable doc lol
I write and I think you’d be a wonderful writer, Dr. Dray!! Loved the vlog 😊❤
Happy Sunday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️
I agree! Her vlogs get me through life

@@whitneybrown4067 Happy Sunday Whitney😀👍
Hi Dr. Dray, what do you use for makeup storage? Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!
Thx for recommendations! By the way, crane flies are harmless, although annoying. My dad was an entomologist so I learned through him. They rarely feed on anything at this stage of development, much less humans or mosquitos. Maybe just some plant nectar, if anything. They're in reproductive stage, looking for mates, hence the frantic flying behavior. We get them in Dallas area for a few weeks in early spring then they're gone! They're attracted to cooler air & light, so will often hang out near an entry door. Pretty easy to spot inside because they'll fly near a light source.
Thank you for sharing your Sunday with us.
Also in DFW, we have green anole lizards all in our gardens and house. They're also harmless and great pest control.
Sundays feel cozier while watching Dr Dray vlogs ☺️ P.s Loving the Manyo serum and BOJ retinal cream
Happy Sunday
Happy Sunday, Dr. Dray ❤
Morning!
So can you use a retinoid or tretinoid with cetaphil renew? Or do you suggest one in the morning and one in the evening or alternating days? I haven’t used neutregena since starting the cetaphil renew.
Thank you for your videos.
OMG TREE FROGS . You’ve answered my question! I live in San Antonio and I saw a ‘jumping leaf’ by my couch and I couldn’t figure out what it was…. Thank you for enlightening me! Lol😅
And yes, roaches are pretty inevitable… 😮
We also get a huge amount of little butterflies in the spring and even though it’s pretty weird to watch, they are pretty.
I live in Colorado and the miller moths freak me out. The time they spend by the foothills (where I’m at) depends on the weather. If it gets too hot they’ll head for the mountains. Not only is there dust from them but they excrete a brown liquid that runs down windows and walls. I’ve read the Bear Town series and really like Fredrik Bachman’s style of writing. Britt-Marie Was Here and A Man Called Ove were also great books.
I try too to write myself poems or short stories to express my inner state or just for some creative time 😊❤. Especially haiku poems are my favorite thing because not only the rules are simple but also they depict your current emotional state. When i was in high school my literature teacher congratulate me for my creativity because the theme inspired me so much and to give it to you the theme was "water". Last but not least i hate bugs and big frogs they freak me out 😅.
Yes, Las Vegas is fun to visit! ❤
Prehensile 😂😂 I’m dying, that was so funny and unexpected.
Have. A great Sunday all xox
You too!!
Very funny your bug descriptions!! I am one of those that runs away from bugs.
We got craneflies a lot back when I lived in Maryland. My brother and I would run across the yard and a cloud of them would swarm up from the grass. And don’t even get me started on the brood X cicadas 😂
13:30 piñatas, in Mexico, are mostly if not ONLY for Christmas posadas.
19:03 this is why I come here. New vocab, and your shade lol
In Wisconsin we get Lake Flies. If you live close to a lake they will coat the side of the house and windows. It lasts about 7- 21 days in May. I get a few but I live a good mile or 2 from the lake so it's not bad by me.
Lol Vegas core. Planning on going for spring break just to go to Meow Wolf
My doctorate is in English and I’m faculty teaching writing at the university level. I would encourage you to take some classes when you have time. I’m happy to answer any questions about writing education as well. The petroleum jelly on the feet is a great tip-my daughter lives in NYC and dances. Between dancing and the pedestrian lifestyle of NYC, her feet go through some things. I’ll be sure to tell her about the petroleum jelly.
Yes! Write! I wrote a novel about my mom’s life growing up in Nazi Germany, and it’s the most significant thing I’ve ever done in my life. 💜
Vegas category!🤣🤣💖 Very much enjoyed this vlog.🙏
Daddy Long Legs...won't hurt you. You are so funny. Love your channel! My new favorite derm doc!
As a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dr Dray, uploads videos everyday. Weekdays: Opinions & expert skincare advice.
Weekends: Fun vlogs (which also contain skincare info).
I watch & enjoy both. You have a lot of binge watching to do!
Yes, Dr Dray is funny and also very kind.
👱🏻♀️❤️
Happy Sunday Vlog Day ! Flying to Cancun tonight for Phish again and I packed SO MUCH sunscreen- I Know you are proud lol. 💜💜💜
Have fun!
In some countries crane flies are called "daddy long-legs". In Australia "daddy long legs" are the name we give to cellar spiders. I only realised this recently after listening to the "What the Duck" podcast (which I have mentioned is one of my favourites), in the episide called "Who's your Daddy".
👱🏻♀️❤️
I’m in the Chicago area and we’re having the joint emerging of the 13 year brood and the 17 year brood of cicadas. Both haven’t happened simultaneously since 1803! Ick.
Crane flies...a definite sign that spring is here!
Contrary to popular belief, they do not eat mosquitoes. But they're annoying yet harmless.
Happy Sunday Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Next time you are in Las Vegas go to the Sphere. It is amazing!! Get middle seats higher up for the Sphere Experience show.
Dr Dray, I have a question I cannot get a straight answer on! Is it okay to layer chemical sunscreen over mineral? If I were to put mineral sunscreen around my eyes and chemical sunscreen around my face (overlapping parts of my eyes) will this lower the efficacy of the sunscreen? Thank you so much!!!
I sometimes have a tendency to experiment and use products not as intended. For example, I discovered that the 60 ml Purito peptide serum (Centella Unscented) is quite good and moisturizing on the lips and around the eyes. I use it as a night mask or whenever I want. It plumps up lips. For face- I use too, but it runs out quickly and I have plenty of other moisturizers that give me more.
I only buy when there are discounts.
One of my favorite lip balms is from Dr. Bronner and comes in light blue packaging, fragrance free.
Hi Dr. Dray! I'm a huge fan from the Philippines ❤
Thank you 😊
Hi Dr Dray! You should try your hand at writing. One of the most important qualities a writer can have is to be an avid reader. Also, there's a surprising number of fiction writers who've practiced medicine at some
point! My "day job" is unrelated and I wish i had time to write much more, but i've had a short story and some poetry published. Off and on i also think about doing freelance work in literary translation (Japanese->Eng), but my Japanese is not quite there yet... And in the meantime my own writing has to come first.
Dr Dray I bought you 2,lbs of Ravens Brew whole bean (dead man’s reach) since we can buy it on the shelves up here in Alaska. I remember you mentioned not being able to get anymore?
How do I send it to you?
The skin1004bcentella sunscreen is now the only sunscreen I use! It’s fantastic
Here with you in The Woodlands, TX … gotta love our creepy critters!!
I had noticed some faint lines above the lips and side of cheek,I decided to buy Roc retinol wrinkle cream, and cerave moisturizer no fragrance, cerave sunblock ( for older skin) I hope I made the right choices
Omg😂😂😂 No prehensile toenails here!
Godspeed
Dee
You heard it here first, Christmas piñatas, now you've started something!
❤ l like how you talk about college class experience. you are natural, thats why l am here everyday
You made me think of Margaret and the Moth Tree. A cute story.
Yes palmettos are way bigger and they fly! 😮
LMAO I love the llama🦙
Where I live we get midges in the summer, they are a cloud of little black bugs. I called them gnats and was corrected. In any event, I’m not a fan of midges, palmetto bugs, mosquitoes or most bugs. We call the little brown lizards LBL’s in my household. I live on SoCal, we’re not supposed to have many bugs, but everywhere has bugs.
Enjoyed the vlog, as always. I bet you would make an awesome writer!! Take a class or two if you have time and see if you're interested. Happy Sunday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a beautiful evening. 💙
Dr Dray, what do you think of the Reedle Shot ?
Yes, I think you would have lots of material for a fabulous book.
Please tell us where you got those wrist protecters
It was like watching a friend . Thank you bc right now i have no friends 😭 had to edit bc i started to cry when i thought about no friends . Not even my My Mom Daughter or Sisters
And not because i did anything to them in the oasr 10 years. Idk i cant wrap my mind around whats going on with them and their treatment of me. Very narcissistic .

I believe I had a parthenogenetic (self impregnating) salamander visit me growing up. We never ever saw them above ground, but one will end up on my bedroom wall every February, she was probably an escaped pet that had southern instinct, but Feb is full winter in northern Montana. My folks said I couldn’t keep her, she was wild, but I could let her stay as long as she wanted, so I had an open terrarium. She always stayed 2 weeks then left, but I don’t think they live long enough that it was all one salamander! One is delightful but I do freak out a bit when I see lizards above ground. I know they are native but they are so good at hiding, they are more startling than seeing a black bear (grizzly beats both by a mile tho).
I used to many sunscreen products and my main cream stopped working and all the other products too. What should I do?
@Drdrayzday I meant to ask you last time… where did you get your wrist bands? So necessary! Thank you as always for your helpful content!
I have a phobia on butterflies and moths. Thanks for this piece of info regarding moth in Colorado
I love Banana Boat Light as Air SPF 50+
We get a season of Love Bugs every year in SW Florida! The bugs get smashed all over our windshield and front bumpers of our cars from driving on the highway and roads!
My parents used to put Vaseline on the front of our cars to make it easier to remove them 😮😂😂
We get those here on the Georgia Coast, just north of Jacksonville, Florida. Might try the Vaseline! Thanks!
