Even when it's miserable, it's fun to look back on afterwards.

All great points! I think we all started off with the heavy packs in the beginning. But you are right, it is very personal. Great video! 👍

Well done Buckley, that was very good. A hard thing to do, putting all the glory of backpacking into only 5 categories. But I have to say you did a pretty good job of it.
    Miss you, my friend.

Good advice from a good man. My advice is to not be afraid of making mistakes during a hike, always learn from your mistakes.

I always make a list of everything I need to take on a backcountry camping trip and every time their is always 1 thing I always forget no matter how much I plan! I agree with the 60/40 percent ration that is about right for me. I don't mind a little bit of a heavier pack because I want to have everything I want not neccisarily what I need though but that is ok I can still deal with a bit more weight. Great video as always!

Backpacking is fun! Even on a bad day, it’s better to make memories than watch TV. I’m with ya on the 60/40 but like that you should always go further than you’ve gone before. Hope you are doing well my friend!

Hey, Buckley! Good tips, brother. Yeah, planning is something that I wish I were better at. Fortunately, there are some pretty good resources out there. I'm with you on the hiking/camping ratio. I really enjoy chilling out once I get set up. I hear you 100% about gear. I really need to shave off some size & weight for my sleep system. Thanks for sharing!

While doing some research I found out there's a lot of Sasquatch sightings in the area I'm going. I'll make sure to do the Sasquatch dance if I ever see one. Thanks for the tips. Backpacking is fun.

Good points there! I like to do the planning as well, often it's half the fun, ... And it has to be fun, for sure... Although adventures where everything goes wrong end up being the best memories and stories! 😊
    Have a great weekend! Kaat

I have a Superior Gear Hammock and a Hammock Gear dyneema tarp. I invested in both after a couple of years of figuring out what I liked best. I've used them both now for about 3 years and I get out a lot!

And making videos is fun! 😀 i think i reverse your 60/40 with 40/60. I like hanging out at camp! 🏕 That was a pretty area to be hiking through!! Great video Mr Tim!!
