Thanks buddy, I’m so glad to have you as a supporter! And sorry if I don’t get back to you right away.. I try to check my comments every few days but at a minimum once a week but I do my best to always get back to my subscribers especially my loyal ones! Thanks again for the compliments buddy!
Thanks Ron! Yes he is a really great guy, he’s very happy with the way things look on his property now! His wife is also very nice, they treated me good 👍🏻
Man. You are good! Just bought a new subcompact tractor and I can only hope to get as good as you are. Amazing to see all the things you get accomplished with your tractor. Love watching your videos. Have a blessed week
Hey thanks a ton for the compliments Kevin! I’m glad you enjoy my videos! It takes time but you will get there! I have roughly 1,000 working hours in the seat of just my own tractor alone.. and for 80% or so of those hours I was prolly doing grading type work with it.. I also have experience grading on other tractors as well so it all adds up and helps, before you know it you’ll be a pro! Just keep at it! Hope you’re having a great week!
Nice job. Good timing, I just picked up the Artillian set and will be using it out at the range. Now I have another option for transporting both grapple & bucket. Thanks
Awesome! You can’t go wrong with Artillian, they make killer products. I’ve worked mine hard both the grapples and the stump buckets and have yet to have a single issue with any of them. I also have their pallet forks. All great stuff! You’ll find a ton of uses for them on your homestead!
Thanks buddy! Glad you enjoyed the video. It was a tough job being so hilly and such close quarters.. didn’t really have the room I needed in some areas to really do what I wanted and had to manipulate the tractor and bucket quite a bit to get things graded nicely but in the end it turned out nice. Thanks for watching!
I love grapple work. I have removed so many small boulders from my pasture the lower tines are folding over. At least I don't have steel stakes through the boulders.
Hey Edwin, that’s great you also have a grapple, they are amazing tools to have in your arsenal! Back + Time savers for sure! What brand is yours? I have heard a lot about Landpride grapples and their tines getting bent like you said yours are doing.. you can try to reinforce them by welding a square peice of steel I between the tines like a gusset.. that would help keep your tines from bending again. Thanks for watching!
Thanks buddy! Thats funny, your right though, Kubota makes a tough bucket cuz after all these years you’d think I woulda worn a darn hole through the bottom of it by now lol. It’s still in great shape too (aside from the cutting edge which is almost non existent now) lol. Need to buy a new one asap!
Thanks man! I know it.. running out of time this year to do all the things I want to.. it’s rained every day since I did this video and the temps dropped by 20+ degrees. Won’t be too many more nice days until the weather turns to hell for the next 6 months lol. Hope you’re doing good man!
Thanks buddy! The grapple did a great job for sure, that ground was a lot harder than I anticipated too.. it had alot of rocks in it and being so late in the year it was dry and hard like concrete. Had I known I prolly woulda taken off the left and right side rake sections of the grapple to give myself some better digging force but it all worked out in the end.. Thanks for watching!
Thanks great! I’m glad to hear that.. glad you liked the music also. Some people don’t like music and some do.. I try to do a little bit of both through each video so guys who just want to hear the tractor can get that and guys who want the music can get that as well. Have a great week!
The first half of the video the dog was in the shadows. I thought it was diesel! Your next job should be teaching people to use a front end loader. Your a true master!
Thanks Bob! Haha nope that wasn’t diesel but it did remind me of him also.. he walked around and laid down the same way as my dog does.. only difference is my dog doesn’t bark at machines! Haha. He is perfectly comfortable standing right next to a running machine as he’s gotten use to it after all the years following me around on my tractor and other equipment. PS. I plan to make a video showing how I use the loader and what I do and why. I just need to find time.. a lot of people have been asking me to make a video like that lately . Have a great week!
Great job. It's actually pretty hard to get that grading right, but you definitely pulled it off 👏 . Thanks for posting .P.S. changed my hydraulic fluid precisely to your video and worked out perfectly.
Hey Anon! Great to hear your hydraulic oil change went smoothly! I’m glad my video helped. It’s always nice to have a step by step guide to follow as your doing things like that. Hope you’re doing well and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Grading was tough on that lumpy lawn but we managed!
Thanks Mike, you’re right.. a lot of guys think they are just a glorified lawn mower.. but I can assure them and testify to all the countless jobs and jobs and work I’ve done with this tractor pushing it to the limits for the last 1,000 hours that they are built to last a lifetime and can get a TON of work done if you know what your doing with it. Thanks for watching
It's great that Artilian sponsors you but a set of forks would have made that curb popping go a whole lot faster. Excellent grading work as usual. Good to see some videos.
Thanks Chris! Just an FYI though, my grapple, along with both my pallet forks AND my stump bucket is all made by Artillian.. so it wouldn’t have mattered which attachment I used for removing that concrete.. I only used the grapple because I felt it was the best tool in my arsenal for the job.. I wouldn’t use a tool just because a company sponsored me unless it was the right tool for the job.. pallet forks would have been much too long and would have taken all my leverage away.. the stump bucket would have worked amazing for digging them out but then I’d have no way to carry them away with out manually getting off the tractor over and over again.. so the grapple was the best middle ground as it offered good pressure to be applied to dig them out of the ground but also the ability to grab ahold of them, shake them off and carry them away.. I don’t have anything that would have worked better for this job and that’s why I used the grapple. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Dave! Yah there really wasn’t a ton of stone there.. seems like the sod was super thick there for whatever reason .. you could see just how thick the sod was on top of those concrete slabs I was pulling out that I had to shake off.. it was really rough ground to dig though I can tell you that ! Haha.
Here ya an idea.. Biff's FEL Academy. I'm thinking you could make money teaching home owners, that are new to tractors, how operate their FEL. Have a pair of walkie talkie headsets and talk they through it. Never know... Hell I would pay a couple hundred bucks for some of your knowledge and to help make my projects look better and not like ass. Lol
Hey buddy! Thanks man, that’s actually a really great idea, I saw your other comment in my last video too a few days ago and I’ve been meaning to write you back. I would love to be able to help you.. where are you located? I wouldn’t want money.. maybe I can send you some video clips showing you some pointers.. I’d have no issue with that. Also I’ve been meaning to make a video series showing my process of using the loader, different steps and why I do what I do and when.. I think that would help answer alot of peoples questions that they have for me. I never thought about doing a “loader academy” but that is a really good idea.. i bet there would be a lot of people and new tractor operators wanting to learn! Thanks for your comment! Email me sometime @ mbifaro@gmail.com We can talk more if you’d like 👍🏻
Hey buddy, yep that’s the one! It’s made by Artillian and attaches to their fork frame. It’s fully modular.. in the video where I cut down that tree a few months ago you’ll see I used 2 grapple sections and on this job I only used the one section to help with digging up the slabs and having more precision for such small objects. It worked out great and I highly recommend them! Have a great week!
@@BiffsEquipment I love my Artillian stuff! I think I got my pallet forks after you reviewed them a couple years ago. I also have their stump bucket. I'm lucky enough to work 10 miles from the Artillian Facility (located in the Curtis Cab building). The guys there are great and a while back I got to meet one of the founders of Artillan, Tom Doxsee!
We got her done! It was def one hilly/bumpy lawn.. made it a tad more difficult to get a straight/even cut with the bucket but with some fines I was able to do a decent job. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Trevor! Funny you mentioned it.. hasn’t been too cold but the day after I did this job the temp dropped into the 40s with lots of rain and has been like that ever since.. suppose to be low 50s all week with sparatic rain too (typical for us this time of year) just hoping it clears up for next weekend so we can go back there and spread that topsoil for him! Have a great week!
Hey Todd! Thanks, ive gotten many offers on the forklift but none of them have been worth me selling it lately. I have a soft spot for old Antique equipment like that and even tho I don’t use it much.. when I need it I NEED it.. and it’s saved my butt more than a few times already.. so until I find something better or get a really good offer I’ll prolly be holding on to the old girl 👍🏻
Biff how do you charge? You base it on your estimated time for the job? With the amount of told jobs that you have completed, I’m sure you have worked out a decent rate of profit. I’m. Rey interested in marketing to local community for small residential clean up and miscellaneous tractor work. I have a bx23s.
Hey Wayne, as far as charging there is a lot of ways you can go about it. Most will charge a set rate for just coming out.. this saves you incase you drive all the way there and it’s just a small job.. so you could say like a $50-60 minimum charge.. and then an hourly rate after that. Most guys around here are around $80-$100 an hour. Each area is different tho, you have to see the going rates in your area by checking Facebook listings and so on. Some community’s don’t have much money and some do.. so this can vary quite a bit depending on your state and location. I typically charge more or less depending on the job and how hard im going to be working my tractor.. such as a mowing job would be much less than a grading job.. if I do a job that requires more impliments then the hourly rate could go up depending how long I’ll be using that tool and so on.. but for the most part I try to stay around a specified hourly rate and if I quote a customer I ALWAYS make sure I’m at or below that amount. You never want to quote someone and be over what you said.. if anything quote high and then when you come out cheaper at the end they will be happy and will trust you more. Hope these tips help! Best of luck Hopdully you can make a nice little side gig out of it man 👍🏻
