Thanks! I played the old Ogre Battle on SNES when I was a kid, never got really far though. I will probably get the remake when it goes on sale and do a play through of that too! :D
Hello! :) THANK YOU!!! I was a bit lost and scared after dipping my toes in the game and not knowing what to do or fearing doing things wrong but thanks to you I believe I can try my first run! :D If I were to want to play other games like this one on Steam, which one would you recommend? :) Thanks for everything once again! :D
I have a question. You stated in the unit composition section that you put a Polearm unit between your Assassina ti boost their damage. Dont Polesrm units provide a boost only to adjacent Polearm Units?
Hello! I have not played the game in a while but I found online the description for the Polearm Mastery. It says "Polearm units now grant bonus attack and defense versus melee to any adjacent units." Adjacent means to their left and right, therefore units in the same row. Now the description is not very great and it does not specify that it applies only to other polearm units. So back then, I assumed it granted an attack bonus but I might have been wrong.
Thanks for the video! Can you please tell me if your 10 tips are 100% or mostly updated to December, 2023 and with the DLC updated patches etc.? Happy 2024!
Hey! Sorry I am not sure, I haven't played the DLC yet so I cannot confirm. But if you find out, please let me know! I am sure most of them still apply.
@@BenJenCo May I ask how would you earn stars? I’m trying to earn stars by force surrendering enemies and should I not use assassins this case as they would easily kill back units leaving no one to surrender, as surrender also gives a lot gold and with more stars to gain tech fast.
To be honest, stars are that "that" important. You will get all the talents just by playing the game and making sure to get as many of the objectives/challenges as possible. If you watch my newest playthrough, I did find an "orange artifact" that allows killed units to surrender. I put it on Diana and she just wrecks everyone so I get a lot of extra stars with that. But then again, you may not find that item while playing. TLDR: Focus on money over stars, surrender whenever possible but no need to force it.
@@BenJenCo Thanks for the advice and I’m grinding arena fights sometimes but I found that my dragons that are level 20 cannot gain any experience in the bronze arena, is it only for bronze or can I gain by challenging silver or higher arenas? As my dragon is already level 20 but still lack 2 strength to upgrade to silver dragon.
you are the only man who really explain about these tokens arena because I was clueless about the leveling is kinda tough , when you level them up you cant do the objectives is that important for tokens???? will I get items anyway?>?
If I recall correctly, you still need to win the map in order to keep the levels. Otherwise, you will lose the time you spent in the arena. After winning, you still get some resources but not the maximum; but that is fine if you use my money making tip to make money elsewhere.
maybe they fix the bug, now the Arena can not level up infinitely, each squad can only take 3 times attack from one same enemy squad with XP, no matter the level is lower or higher
This is a great channel; I just bought the game, and I am on chapter nine. I simply don't understand what the best troop to group together is. I've been putting same type together such as archers in a group, horses in a group, etc, etc but it isnt working so well for me. do you have any videos on best grouping? thanks.
Thank you for your comment! I do have two to suggest you. The second link, may have some spoilers in it so watch it only if you don't mind that. th-cam.com/video/YvynAbQboqg/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/eNE_r6uqIWM/w-d-xo.html
In the first link, make sure to watch the first 3 minutes when I go over the "attack sequences" of the units. If you master that, you can make very powerful squads.
Well put 1 or 2 healers into every squad. This will increase sustainability while taking away some offensive power. Your units wont be glass cannons then. Its alright to put same units to a squad but some units would really like to have a defensive frontline. Heavy infantry is more defensive while light infantry is more offensive with high dodge. Even light infantry squads can have some units that are not light infantry and still maintain the benefits of being light infantry squad.
how good is the story in this game? I like the game sprite but the character portrait kinda turned me off its like looking at one of those cheap mobile game ads you keep seeing being spam everywhere
The main appeal to the game is the unit customization and the battles. Which is great in my opinion. The story paved to way to more story in potential DLC and future content from the same "story lines". I give the story a 3/5 and everything else 5/5!
Bro ive only just started this game, & i love it but what your saying is gibberish to me, you look powerful as! Can you give beginner tips instead of such powerul army tips. Like i said im still new it doesnt make sense what you saying.
I have to say I dislike these tips. Reason being that people may not know but this game is actually not very hard. It does a great job at presenting battles like having overwhelming odds while having every mission be very fair. Even if you just cleverly use the system you can easily snowball into a state where always bringing your strongest units results in you stomping every mission. Only way to have missions have an illusion of challenge is by training up weaker units so that you dont only have your powerhouses. So these tips kinda show you how to abuse the system which Id imagine would lead into even more boring game play. So a fair warning would be to say that if you use these tips, then youll find yourself facing a very easy game. Honestly I would prefer if they pumped up the strength of enemies while giving you more turns to maneuver.
Wait, so you dislike the tips or yiu dislike the way the game is designed? These tips were awesome. I never considered that the cost of a mercenary unit is partially offset by the fact that it contains valuable items required to make. These tips are great for new players like myself that don't fully understand the game. I think you just don't like certain things about the game.
@@johnadams5694 I dont quite remember what I was thinking. Perhaps something about abusing the system in order to make the game extremely easy. However I believe that your ability to abuse the arena has been patched and they added a new difficulty setting with DLC which makes the game more challenging. However they added variety of new game+ options which can make it extremely easy. However since you can tweak whatever aspects you like as part of the game and also make it extremely difficulty if you so choose, I do feel like its all good.
I agree totally. I was hooked by the game but after half of it, I disabled the combat scenes and I was just clicking fight as fast as you can to finish the scenario...
Tbh there's a couple of things that I do not like about the game. But is the game too easy? Not on Ludacrous mode. I couldn't even keep permadeath on. Unlike other tactics games that give a preview of the battle, this game doesn't, and you typically don't know what your units will do until after the fact. This forces you to watch the animations to learn about your units' capabilities, which lengthens the playtime tremendously. Also, some units out of no where get a 2nd tile of range without any explanation, such as the dark mage (even the tutorial says 1 range) and Diana in upgraded mode. Really dumb. I wish you could hover over more things like stats and affinities to be reminded what they do also, as well as damage calculations for your units' damage/ damage taken, so as to be more informative for what your traits actually affect on your units. Like arcane vigor is the only one that gives anything, whereas Lithe Assault gives nothing. Do I have 15% more crit chance? 10? What's even my hit% chance? None of this is displayed. Meh.
if u use my tip....if u use my trick...if u use my xxxx....u say the same thing many many times in the video. deep breath dude. slow it down a lil bit.
