Absolute pleasure, glad to help..👍 Not sure if you know but i have a decent selection of other spots to fish on the Thames in my free fishing playlist. Hampton Court Walton On Thames etc. Planning on covering the Chertsey Leyham stretch early September. Good luck & tight lines to you buddy..😊👍🐟🎣
Cheers bud, probably the last one on the Thames for a short time, just until i get to the River Wye, gotta wait for a flood know..😊👍 Hoping to do the Tidal and Thames Wier Pass sections next, in the slow process of trying to sort permissions out etc.. Thanks for your support over the last few months or so man..!🙂🙂👍
Thanks mate, hoping to get to the River Wye soon, then back to the Tidal Thames area. Would like to do all the Wier Pass Swims on the Thames once I've sorted the permissions out.. Fingers crossed..🤞😊 Cheers for your support again bud..!! 🙏😊
Smashed it again Mucker!! absolutely love your vids! some mega swims here especially @ 50 seconds in, off the trees on the island... keep em coming bud...... :)
Cheers bud, you're a star for saying that..!🙏 Really enjoyed making this one, not sure why, think it might be the people I met, they were really friendly this time. Gonna have to get some fishing in myself soon so there may be a short time to wait for the next one..😞 Gonna try to get permission to do all the Wier Pass areas soon, fingers crossed on that one..🤞🤞
Hi just wanted to say I absolutely love your channel! I'm from sussex but have just started working in weybridge & oxshot. Needless to say I'm blown away by all the rivers and lakes in the area. Would the river Wey be a good place to start fishing before adventuring onto the Thames ( barbel, chub & perch would be my target species) ?
Hi buddy thanks for the nice comment it's really appreciated..😊 If you're thinking of fishing the River Wey I'd suggest joining Farnham Angling Society, if i remember correctly it has 3 stretches of the Wey on it, but I'd give the Wey a miss if you can and go straight for the Thames as the Wey isn't what it used to be I'm afraid. Really hard Barbel Fishing the Chub and Silvers are worth a shot though. I'd advise River Thames at either Aragon Avenue, Cigarette Island and if you can find a spot to park definitely Kingslawn. (Videos 4 7 & 8 respectively in my free fishing playlist). Hope this helps bud..😊👍🎣🐟 Glad to answer any questions you may have..
Hi there imma new subscriber love the channel your a good guy giving away the information …would you give away a bit more and tell me the best place to catch a chub with very easy access as not as young as I use to be and have always wanted to catch a few decent chub on the Thames ….thanks 👍
Hi buddy thanks for the nice comment and it'll be a pleasure to help. I'd definitely try Walton On Thames Pt3 and Aragon Avenue Pt6 in my channel playlist for the Chub plus Chertsey Bridge (video coming after my next post on the River Itchen). Walton Bridge has 4 or 6? blue badge bays very close to the water under the bridge which (finding out after i posted the video) have no restrictions on time. I checked with the local council.. Maggot Feeder with a pinch of damp white crumb added in with really long hook lengths of around 6 to 8ft casting accurately and regularly with maggots or worms on the hook has worked for me for the Chub here. Aragon Avenue is definitely the polar opposite of Walton Bridge, I'd suggest the maggot and waggler method as explained in the video, definitely productive but patience is a virtue here. ( the Chub can take their time) I haven't covered Layham to Chertsey yet but it's on my to do list.. There's free parking right by Chertsey Bridge which has one blue badge bay (not sure about the time limit) and space for around 3 to 4 cars that has no time limit and is really close to the water as well. I'd fish on the grass bank opposite the car park entrance in between the Lock and the bridge using a small fishy Boilie with fishy Trout Pellet paste wrapped around the weight and covering the hook and Boilie, the Bait will be about the size of a Walnut when covered. Normal Carp rigs, nothing too fancy and no loose feed, cast to different spots over the session giving around 30 to 45 minutes between casts. Slightly upstream between the second and third span of Chertsey Bridge from that swim is a good place to start. I hope this helps you, good luck and Tight Lines to you..🐟🎣 P.s let me know if you catch..😊👍
@@MUCKER671 that’s absolutely brilliant , I’m not quite blue badge yet but very nearly . I have fished for over 50 years nearly and a large chub has always eluded me .I will take your tips and locations and start as of Wednesday next week to try and get one before the season ends …will let you know my results . Thanks again your a gentleman
I use 6lb mainline and 4lb hooklengh with a nice soft action rod when feeder fishing and normally 4lb mainline with a 3 to 4lb hooklengh when Trotting. Aragon Walton & Chertsey aren't too snaggy generally so nice and easy fishing..😊👍
That is a lovely stretch , some very nice swims , superb video as always .
Thanks buddy, really appreciate the nice comment and your right about the weather that day, perfect Roach weather..
Always a great help, and I will be fishing the Thames more in September, great effort and well done Mucker671
