Hands down the best review about this bike. Straight to the point on features and handling, plus giving your height to give us an idea on how it fits a taller guy.
I've had this bike for over a year and it's very powerful. I am 5' 8" 185 lbs. I added a universal (Amazon) light kit for night riding. Make sure you change the spark plugs every now and then if its rough starting or idling and use a trickle charger to keep the battery nice and strong. Also warm up for at least 10 minutes before ridng and it will perform awesome!
Thank you for your comment. I am about 6’ 165 lbs and I was worried this bike wouldn’t have enough power for me. I’m 17 years old and I will be purchasing my first brand new 2022 bike with my own hard earned money so I’m glad I found an affordable bike That will have a good amount of power. Already have a 220 2 stroke but wanted a change of pace. Wanna learn wheelies and better control on a bike yk
@@TraviNomotion "real bike" its real, i can touch it and feel it. Thats like calling a glock 19 a hi-point. Im 6'0 and 150 pounds or so and its great for me. This bike definitely isnt a 450 but it pulls my butt around pretty good, especially for trails.
i got a 2013 klx 140L! ordered all sorts of new parts and accessories to keep me busy during winter too have it fresh for spring. new tires, sticker kit, hand grips, brake lever, brakepads, air & oil filter, sparkplugs, and more i got lined up to put on it
I’m thinking about getting a 2024 Klx 140R it’s marked down to $2999 right now!! I just wish it had a backup kickstarter but I think I can live with it.
My uncle has this bike but with the smaller tires and lower seat height. I've ridden it several times and very much enjoy it. I would like to get the version with larger tires and more seat height for myself. I think it's perfect for casual riding and hitting trails
I Had a KLX110 PitBike, & That Was *TheCoolest* Bike I Ever Had. If I Purchase another Bike for "Leisure Riding" it Prolly Be This One. (I'd Put an FMFPowerCore Pipe on it, as I Did My 110.)
I am thinking about purchasing one .. will b a good 15 years of investment .. and a short height guy like me I don't need a full-size dirt bike currently ..
The KLX 140 is "like" a CRF125F in that it's a motorcycle for dirt riding. However, the KLX has a bigger engine, better suspension, and better brakes. For kids/entry level dirt bikes, Kawasaki is the brand to be in. I love Honda's, don't get me wrong, but the small dirt bike segment (100cc or more but less than 230/250cc) KLX's are awesome. the KLX 140 (in any of the three wheel sizes) are awesome and at a good price.
We bought a brand new 2021 klx140L and it came with a red sticker, not green. It's an awesome bike for my son to learn on, but that part was a little disappointing.
Honestly I have hit jumps on my 2011 klx140 and it handles fine but if your suspension is tight you will bounce up in your seat but other than that it handles really good...it also helps that it’s a kid to adult size bike that is good for trails because it goes 65 mph even going into ruts with soft suspension/ upgrades are also not very expensive
Yes, if you are 5’8 you will be fine. But if this is your first ever bike it would be easier for you to learn on a bike with smaller wheels or a lower seat height
Is this bike too small for a 6 foot 190 pound 16 year old? I want to start riding but I don’t know if the klx140 would be underpowered. The dealer said something like a crf250f would be a good starter bike for my size and weight.. can anyone give me tips
it would be on the small side for you, but it should be fine if you are just riding around. But if you plan to do anything else a 200-250cc would be perfect
I have a ttr125 and it’s great especially for beginners but I think they are hard to buy nowadays but I can’t my opinion on the ksx140 because I’ve never rode it before
My wife is 5'4. The klx140rl with the 16" rear 19"front tire fits her really well. She has short legs and can sit flat footed easy. We are also looking at the Honda crf125fb(big wheel). It's a tiny bit smaller. Good luck with your choice
I think in Nebraska USA ! Tho its a foreign Co still. Buy a Polaris quad or side×side its made in USA & American Co! Big difference. I buy Japanese bikes an Polaris quads but only American trucks! They the best anyhow.
finally somebody made a video about my bike

Reminds me of a resto-mod of the old 1970s KDs. Simple and reliable. Love it...
The simpler the better when it comes to trail bikes 👍🏻

It has to be a kid bike just because it's smaller?

Are they good for riding on tracks instead of just a trail
Beginner tracks or tracks with only a few jumps are fine. Anything bigger you will struggle with the soft suspension.
@@SocalOffroadSchool what would you define as (bigger) jumps. Like I want to hit jumps but not like those huge mx jumps
