As an animal lover myself, I was in the same boat. I refuse to watch Elfen Lied myself (far too much gratuitous gore, which I don't really enjoy), but any character who is cruel enough to intentionally and knowingly harm/torture/kill an innocent animal instantly earns my utter contempt and hate....ESPECIALLY if it's a dog.
Oh, that school part is harsher than what they showed here. See, the only other student that knew about the dog was this one girl. When the boys were clubbing the dog, she ran in and begged them to stop. They told her that she shouldn't have let them know about the dog in the first place - hearing this made Lucy sad. But when the girl was burying her face into her hands and apologizing, Lucy noticed a sly grin on the girl's face - this is what set her off and convinced her to slaughter them all.
The Deadpool vs. Carnage comic was an all-out bloodbath, and Deadpool came out on top because he _legitimately_ outplayed Carnage by… Guess what? Using his own insanity to manipulate Carnage’s insanity against him, causing him to surrender into custodial arrest until he could sort his own mind out, and he also tricked Carnage into shooting his own girlfriend. Deadpool may have gotten his teeth kicked in, true, but he played Carnage like a freaking fiddle! It’s a personal favorite, and I would highly recommend that you read it!
The thing they left out is that Lucy's mental state only changed from old memories being triggered or trauma to the head. The manga is better but it is one that'll make you cry both tears of sorrow and joy. The anime follows the manga pretty close, sadly it didn't do the whole manga series.
I have my indifference to this battle in a few areas, but I will never, EVER, be unimpressed by Chris Guerrero’s performance as Carnage. The man’s borderline demonic
I honestly think between Lucy and Carnage it would end up as a stalemate. Carnage would see it as a waste of time to continue fighting her when he could just be killing stuff, so he would avoid her and just hunt. Lucy being unable to actually kill Carnage without the perfect chance of luck would basically be in an endless pursuit of him much like Venom and Spiderman. I am a Lucy supporter but Carnage is probably her best match.

Elfen Lied has beautiful soundtrack. You should check it out. It sounds pretty melancholic and depressing though. It's like a music box playing. Even their theme song are like in German soprano or something. Also, I totally know Lucy will win. She was so powerful that she is in a league of her own. Her invisible hands can do almost anything in the anime in terms of destructive and defensive capabilities. The only person from Marvel that comes even close to her psychic abilities is Jean Grey.
I'll be honest, this Death Battle was originally what I had in my request last Week, but then I remembered about Leon Kennedy Vs. Frank West, but since you started with this, I think I'll go with my original List. The next ones should be Venom Vs. Crona, Ganondorf Vs. Dracula, Sabrewulf Vs. Jon Talbain, and Alucard Vs. Dio. This is a good example of a fight that seems one-sided at first but plays out quite differently. Lucy was stronger than Carnage in nearly every way, yet he could regenerate so quickly made sure he could keep on fighting. That one factor made it an actual fair fight where Carnage if he was careful, could have killed her. Lucy was dominating from the beginning but one mistake could have left her the loser. I wish Death Battle did more fights like this where the winner isn't really that obvious, not just because they're so similar in skills but because one fighter has something so unique and useful that the other fighter has to struggle to overcome it.
I highly recommend you guys going for either these four matchups, with one honorable mention 1. Ganondorf vs Dracula (Dark Lords) 2. Joker vs Sweet Tooth (Clowns) 3. Dio vs Alucard (Vampires) 4. Sabrewulf vs Jon Talbain (Werewolves) Honorable Mentions - Venom vs Crona

@@OtakuJuanma2 seriously? Werewolves are some of the most known horror monsters out there, right alongside vampires, mummies, etc. You can't get more OG then urban legends that survive to this day. Soul Eater gives off Halloween vibes, but the episode doesn't. Not only did pretty much nobody want this match upon its announcement, but it's generally a bad episode that is slow, not scary nor brutal, and a bore all the way through. Compare that to Jon vs Sabrewulf, which is legitimately one of that years best episodes, complete with brutality, suspense, fast paced action, and a clear werewolf motif perfect for Halloween (which the DB crew went out of their way to adjust their schedule to release it on Halloween) and you get, well, everything venom vs crona isnt

This death battle was insane and a bloody bath of amazing fight of both characters 😄 with that said, Lucy seem to be a op anime character that have a sad story. Also there is a movie about Lucy but it’s American version with Scarlett Johansson as Lucy and have a interesting storyline with some plot details that is close to the anime/manga
That has nothing to do with the anime. The Scar Jo one was just about unleashing hidden brain potential which has been discussed to be complete false about the brain usage percentage.
For the fight itself.. very good. The End was a bit anticlimatic for me, but it is interesting.. because Carnage insane personality is a great comparison for Lucy. Her other side reflects his insanity.
Lucy would definitely have been at a disadvantage if she reverted to her childlike state at random. But her different personalities have specific triggers - The "Lucy personality" is a direct response to feeling threatened, so as long as she was aware of Carnage, she would most likely remain as Lucy. Also, I was like: "Lucy's gonna win. No contest. I don't even know who Carnage is, but it doesn't matter. The only person that beats Lucy is Lucy."

Yeah....Carnage absolutely lives up to his name. He's one of the most demented and psychotic killers in Marvel. Hell, I'd bet that even some of DC's more hardened and psychotic killers would be absolutely terrified of Carnage. Victor Zsazz, Bane, Scarecrow, Joker, etc. Carnage isn't merely a psychopath, he's fully aware of his own psychosis and he fully embraces it. He doesn't have a single redeeming quality. There's a reason why Spidey & Venom will willingly team up with each other just to take Carnage down. Not to mention the fact that even with Spidey & Venom working together, Carnage is very tough for them to actually take down.
Forgot the part about Carnage needing to touch the wound of his victims to take control. The things you forget when you stop reading comic books. But I found this one fun because I had know nothing about Lucy and that made so much fun and interesting. Plus I a agree pet killers must be killed. Go Lucy! In two alternate universes Bethany is Hero & Villain......why? Well, her love for animals, (mainly Genus Canis) is the main influential variable of her alter-ego scenario. One universe she will defend dogs to her last breath as a passionate, just & alluring heroine knows as “Primal Regemis” The other, where the world’s cruelty on animals (notably dogs) has finally taken its last toll on Bethany’s sanity & now she multiples that hatred, sadistic & cruel behaviour back on the world, guilty & innocent suffers alike......we call her (Fenris Soul-Claw) Hmm.....you lovebirds could make a comic out of this....I would definitely read it.
Moral of story: Always follow ur gut 🙂 Also if Carnage tried to infect Lucy, u wud have to remember she was fast enough to stop a bullet going to her heart. So im sure she could stop the infection clawing in her wound, being such tiny mass of Symbiote, her vector would vaporized it.
Not really, Carnage's symbiote is similar to blood, allowing him to infect Lucy before her body detected the presence of an external invader... she would have realized it only as the klyntar started talkin in her head.
@@brotquel1592 Given how its original host "Cletus Kasady" was able to feel "shocked and fearful" during its bonding meaning that process is not instant, unlike Lucy's reaction speed which much faster. Meaning the symbiote would have to COMPLETELY consumer her faster than Mach 2.47. Not to mention she already carries a virus, which parasites usually help spread, and it just so happens symbotes are alien parasites. So if anything the virus will become a symbote of the symbotes itself by using it to spread itself making more Diclonius lol

I have some costume ideas, either one, go with some characters that you look similar to you or two, cosplay as someone, that has the same name as you or close enough.
Carnage is also a Blood based symbiote and has that massive weakness to blood based viruses and didn't they say that Lucy was meant to infect people through their blood? idk i feel like she could of won that way too, just taken over the symbiote and converted it into whatever it was called like what she was supposed to do as their queen. personally if i was in Lucy's world i would be the type of person that even after seeing what should could do would take her in as my own daughter and raise her as if she was my own, ive not seen the anime myself and this was the 1st time ive seen her but i already love her as a character and feel so sorry for all the pain and suffering that she went through, if she was real i would absolutely want to adopt her even if she was bound to kill me eventually as i just couldn't bare to see a little girl suffer like that (children are my weakness as i am a big kid myself, especially girls as i never grew up around any).
im actually surprised lucy won but then again i didnt read the manga i only saw the anime. i thought she stood no chance but i didnt think she got that strong nice surprise i actually like carnage more but glad to see an anime character beat a marvel character for once still not sure shed win though but i guess she has a better chance than carnage and thats what they based it on i think. they seem fairly equal in almost everything.
Honestly I wanted to say Carnage because he’s one of my favorite villains. But I was fairly confident Lucy would win because of that super hit. I knew nothing else she did would manage to hurt him, and he has the possession ability so I was hopeful he might sneak some symbiotic through one of those cuts, and pull a win before she smashed him, but nah.
While Lucy does have more raw power,I think Carnage versatility & cunning for killing could also give him a win,like seeing that she stops anything she sees so he would send part of himself underground & impale her through the foot & the rest of her body.
but with her vectors being able to go within herself to stop a bullet before it reaches her heart, she might be able to grab the symbiote before it can fully infect her and rip it out.

Hey just a fact for all who see this and didn't know, The line of "I hate you" SPOILERS BELOW I hate you is what Crona says in Crona vs Venom match, though I'll be honest, I'm not sure where directly it comes from, is it a MEME or something else?
I remember this battle being pretty controversial when it first came out. They missed out on a lot when it came to Carnage's feats. Makes sense considering how old this video is now. (Both him and Spider-Man have sub-light reaction feats, some durability feats that Peter Parker Spider-Man himself performed that get both him and Carnage up to mountain-level I.E: MEGATONS of TNT not just the mere 126 they gave him, and Carnage has been shown to infect people with his projectiles contrary to what Death Battle said in the video) Does all of this mean Carnage should have won? Hmmm ... maybe. Maybe not. Despite what this episode's detractors might say, I honestly am still team Lucy. Heck, their calculations for Lucy punching the island are also horrendously low-balled. (They have it in the kilotons range when the feat itself is actually more in the gigatons range, millions of times stronger then what they have it, and at least hundreds of times stronger then Spider-Man's best durability feats. Oh, and none of this is taking into account Lucy just detonating her arms at their largest, which based on their size and assuming she detonated all of them at once, would produce a blast strong enough to destroy our Moon. LOL) Lucy's vectors can also be argued as moving at sub-light speeds as well based on how fast they were moving when they were at their largest size.
Indeed. Carnage is a marvel staple of just terror. Lucy though is also interesting, the anime she is from is as much depression as it is violent. Beautiful story though, Lucy has probably been one of my top 3 if not thee top favorite anime characters since I started watching anime. Eagerly awaiting what Death Battles come next.

My pre battle prediction: The only thing I can think of as an issue for lucy is she does not have any abilities to destroy each bit of carnages symbiote. She has devastating abilities and her tentacle arms go further and wider than carnage but she cannot beat him without some kind of tool or substance to beat the symbiote from regenerating. After results: I didnt think carnage could be blown up due to the previous statement saying he survived explosions before. But I guess with enough explosive force he could be killed. My only issue with the outcome is seeing the explosive force needed that they explained in the video how did she survive after blowing him up from that distance? Wouldnt it be a tie of sorts?

@@VenomKpp Well yeah, it's shocking, most people remember shocking anime, I mean anyone who seen the rabbit scene Blood-C probably isn't going to forget it but shocking doesn't = good. Again, not saying it's bad but when you put it in the top 10 you're saying it's next to something like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, One Piece, Cowboy Bebop, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Mobile Suit Gundam, Macross, Hunter X Hunter, Lupin III, The Big O, The Vision of Escaflowne, Berserk, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Bleach, or Naruto. To be clear I'm not a fan of a lot of those, like I can't stand One Piece but it's in the top 10 of the highest grossing media period. Elfin Lied just isn't in the same league of a lot of these and these are not all of the influence anime out there that I would put over that series.
Elfen Lied is a very dark anime. Honestly it can be pretty alienating because almost every person is either a Victim, or Villain. It can feel like a dick measuring contest of how traumatized the characters are or how much of a dick one can be. There IS a story, but it's pretty emo focused so...it's hard to recommend it. If you just wanna see something really violent for whatever reason, I would recommend it.
Even if Carnage COULD infect Lucy, that's not necessarily the end for her. Remember: she can use her vectors to reach inside of her own body, and make any parts of her vectors intangible. She could theoretically just scoop the Carnage right out of her body.

@@OtakuJuanma2 seriously? Werewolves are some of the most known horror monsters out there, right alongside vampires, mummies, etc. You can't get more OG then urban legends that survive to this day. Soul Eater gives off Halloween vibes, but the episode doesn't. Not only did pretty much nobody want this match upon its announcement, but it's generally a bad episode that is slow, not scary nor brutal, and a bore all the way through. Compare that to Jon vs Sabrewulf, which is legitimately one of that years best episodes, complete with brutality, suspense, fast paced action, and a clear werewolf motif perfect for Halloween (which the DB crew went out of their way to adjust their schedule to release it on Halloween) and you get, well, everything venom vs crona isnt

This death battle was insane and a bloody bath of amazing fight of both characters 😄 with that said, Lucy seem to be a op anime character that have a sad story. Also there is a movie about Lucy but it’s American version with Scarlett Johansson as Lucy and have a interesting storyline with some plot details that is close to the anime/manga

For the fight itself.. very good. The End was a bit anticlimatic for me, but it is interesting.. because Carnage insane personality is a great comparison for Lucy. Her other side reflects his insanity.

Lucy would definitely have been at a disadvantage if she reverted to her childlike state at random. But her different personalities have specific triggers - The "Lucy personality" is a direct response to feeling threatened, so as long as she was aware of Carnage, she would most likely remain as Lucy.
Also, I was like: "Lucy's gonna win. No contest. I don't even know who Carnage is, but it doesn't matter. The only person that beats Lucy is Lucy."

Yeah....Carnage absolutely lives up to his name. He's one of the most demented and psychotic killers in Marvel. Hell, I'd bet that even some of DC's more hardened and psychotic killers would be absolutely terrified of Carnage. Victor Zsazz, Bane, Scarecrow, Joker, etc. Carnage isn't merely a psychopath, he's fully aware of his own psychosis and he fully embraces it. He doesn't have a single redeeming quality. There's a reason why Spidey & Venom will willingly team up with each other just to take Carnage down. Not to mention the fact that even with Spidey & Venom working together, Carnage is very tough for them to actually take down.

Forgot the part about Carnage needing to touch the wound of his victims to take control. The things you forget when you stop reading comic books. But I found this one fun because I had know nothing about Lucy and that made so much fun and interesting. Plus I a agree pet killers must be killed. Go Lucy! Well, her love for animals, (mainly Genus Canis) is the main influential variable of her alter-ego scenario.
One universe she will defend dogs to her last breath as a passionate, just & alluring heroine knows as “Primal Regemis”
The other, where the world’s cruelty on animals (notably dogs) has finally taken its last toll on Bethany’s sanity & now she multiples that hatred, sadistic & cruel behaviour back on the world, guilty & innocent suffers alike......we call her (Fenris Soul-Claw)

Also if Carnage tried to infect Lucy, u wud have to remember she was fast enough to stop a bullet going to her heart. So im sure she could stop the infection clawing in her wound, being such tiny mass of Symbiote, her vector would vaporized it.
Not really, Carnage's symbiote is similar to blood, allowing him to infect Lucy before her body detected the presence of an external invader... she would have realized it only as the klyntar started talkin in her head.
@@brotquel1592 Given how its original host "Cletus Kasady" was able to feel "shocked and fearful" during its bonding meaning that process is not instant, unlike Lucy's reaction speed which much faster. Meaning the symbiote would have to COMPLETELY consumer her faster than Mach 2.47. Not to mention she already carries a virus, which parasites usually help spread, and it just so happens symbotes are alien parasites. So if anything the virus will become a symbote of the symbotes itself by using it to spread itself making more Diclonius lol

Carnage is also a Blood based symbiote and has that massive weakness to blood based viruses and didn't they say that Lucy was meant to infect people through their blood? idk i feel like she could of won that way too, just taken over the symbiote and converted it into whatever it was called like what she was supposed to do as their queen.
personally if i was in Lucy's world i would be the type of person that even after seeing what should could do would take her in as my own daughter and raise her as if she was my own, ive not seen the anime myself and this was the 1st time ive seen her but i already love her as a character and feel so sorry for all the pain and suffering that she went through, if she was real i would absolutely want to adopt her even if she was bound to kill me eventually as i just couldn't bare to see a little girl suffer like that (children are my weakness as i am a big kid myself, especially girls as i never grew up around any).
im actually surprised lucy won but then again i didnt read the manga i only saw the anime. i thought she stood no chance but i didnt think she got that strong nice surprise i actually like carnage more but glad to see an anime character beat a marvel character for once still not sure shed win though but i guess she has a better chance than carnage and thats what they based it on i think. they seem fairly equal in almost everything.

Honestly I wanted to say Carnage because he’s one of my favorite villains. But I was fairly confident Lucy would win because of that super hit. I knew nothing else she did would manage to hurt him, and he has the possession ability so I was hopeful he might sneak some symbiotic through one of those cuts, and pull a win before she smashed him, but nah.
Dio vs Alucard would be an excellent capstone to the Halloween month.

While Lucy does have more raw power,I think Carnage versatility & cunning for killing could also give him a win,like seeing that she stops anything she sees so he would send part of himself underground & impale her through the foot & the rest of her body.
but with her vectors being able to go within herself to stop a bullet before it reaches her heart, she might be able to grab the symbiote before it can fully infect her and rip it out.

And Carnage symbiote will go through her like a second nervous system, basically impossible to rip out.

I remember this battle being pretty controversial when it first came out.
They missed out on a lot when it came to Carnage's feats. Makes sense considering how old this video is now.
(Both him and Spider-Man have sub-light reaction feats, some durability feats that Peter Parker Spider-Man himself performed that get both him and Carnage up to mountain-level I.E: MEGATONS of TNT not just the mere 126 they gave him, and Carnage has been shown to infect people with his projectiles contrary to what Death Battle said in the video)
Does all of this mean Carnage should have won? Hmmm ... maybe. Maybe not.
Despite what this episode's detractors might say, I honestly am still team Lucy. Heck, their calculations for Lucy punching the island are also horrendously low-balled. (They have it in the kilotons range when the feat itself is actually more in the gigatons range, millions of times stronger then what they have it, and at least hundreds of times stronger then Spider-Man's best durability feats. Oh, and none of this is taking into account Lucy just detonating her arms at their largest, which based on their size and assuming she detonated all of them at once, would produce a blast strong enough to destroy our Moon. LOL)
Lucy's vectors can also be argued as moving at sub-light speeds as well based on how fast they were moving when they were at their largest size.
Indeed. Carnage is a marvel staple of just terror. Lucy though is also interesting, the anime she is from is as much depression as it is violent. Beautiful story though, Lucy has probably been one of my top 3 if not thee top favorite anime characters since I started watching anime. Eagerly awaiting what Death Battles come next.

My pre battle prediction: The only thing I can think of as an issue for lucy is she does not have any abilities to destroy each bit of carnages symbiote. She has devastating abilities and her tentacle arms go further and wider than carnage but she cannot beat him without some kind of tool or substance to beat the symbiote from regenerating.
After results: I didnt think carnage could be blown up due to the previous statement saying he survived explosions before. But I guess with enough explosive force he could be killed. My only issue with the outcome is seeing the explosive force needed that they explained in the video how did she survive after blowing him up from that distance? Wouldnt it be a tie of sorts?

@@VenomKpp Well yeah, it's shocking, most people remember shocking anime, I mean anyone who seen the rabbit scene Blood-C probably isn't going to forget it but shocking doesn't = good. Again, not saying it's bad but when you put it in the top 10 you're saying it's next to something like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, One Piece, Cowboy Bebop, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Mobile Suit Gundam, Macross, Hunter X Hunter, Lupin III, The Big O, The Vision of Escaflowne, Berserk, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Bleach, or Naruto.
To be clear I'm not a fan of a lot of those, like I can't stand One Piece but it's in the top 10 of the highest grossing media period. Elfin Lied just isn't in the same league of a lot of these and these are not all of the influence anime out there that I would put over that series.

Elfen Lied is a very dark anime. Honestly it can be pretty alienating because almost every person is either a Victim, or Villain. It can feel like a dick measuring contest of how traumatized the characters are or how much of a dick one can be. There IS a story, but it's pretty emo focused so...it's hard to recommend it. If you just wanna see something really violent for whatever reason, I would recommend it.

Even if Carnage COULD infect Lucy, that's not necessarily the end for her. Remember: she can use her vectors to reach inside of her own body, and make any parts of her vectors intangible.
She could theoretically just scoop the Carnage right out of her body.
Carnage is a great villain, but he's also a monster. So I'm glad Lucy won.
