I have to admit I enjoyed at the Blade films immensely. They are just pure unadulterated fun and Wesley was perfect.
I LOVED watching Blade. I didn’t know this helped kick off the Marvel films cuz I was raised on X men and Spider-man, when I saw this for the first time I was like damn this is a Marvel film?! Very well-rounded hero film. if marvel wants to do more rated R films, I hope they take notes from Blade.
It technically was THE Marvel film that kicked it off. Stan Lee said so much himself and even credited the film and Wesley for that when Black Panther was released.

The real sin is... Why don't Vampires work in slaughterhouses and drink Pigs Blood, I mean a small percent of the blood is sold and used in cat, dog, and people food... but most is discarded. Vampires could play an important roll in the meat Industry reducing waste.

Movie tries hard to convince that this really useless action will get main character onto something bigger than patrolling nightclubs with vampires like she is so much more important than rest of the humans. Not convinced at all.

That club scene is iconic! And the soundtrack is fantastic! So badass!
The end fight scene with all of Frost's cronies is one of my favourites of all time. No need for fancy flying kung fu (except for one weird, no contact, spinning kick demo), just Welsey Snipes working with his strength & speed; smashing kneecaps, uppercutting faces and busting out a couple of the most rock solid front kicks. Showcased his martial arts training in a very realistic way.

Anyone remember that old Ray-ban sunglasses commercial with vampires? They are sitting on some steps about to watch the sunrise. Several put on their glasses and one guy feels his pockets frantically but can't find them. The sunrise starts, the guy gets dusted, and the others laugh as the main guy (who kinda looks like Stephen Dorff) says "Somebody forgot their Ray-ban sunglasses!"

I actually read at one point he was SUPPOSED TO be playing Drizzt DoUrden in a live action version of the Forgotten Realms Dark Elf series, but everyone I know when they heard went into an uproar protesting he was IN NO WAY any good for that role. The consencess was that Orlando Bloom would be way better at that role. Anyway I heard from another source right now no one will hire him.
@@fireidar He was just in the Expendables 3, which was 5 years ago dear god! I also saw a movie last year he starred in where he was trapped in a prison, Armed Response I think it was. Anyway he is still recent in action movies, there is no reason why he couldn't be cast as blade again, and have the movie set 15 years later... which is now from the last movie.
I've heard they lost the license to make more Blade movies, because of wanting to have Snipes, but his sentence was too long to just wait.

I’m actually excited to see how Mahershala does. Blade was one of my favorite vampire movies when I was a kid and he did a good job in his other films. Just happy to see a continuation.

According to the Media the first Black superhero movie was Black Panther...
The first Blade movie was better than Black Panther, and there was a trilogy of great movies. But it was in the 90's so it wasn't eye opening, progressive and a stepping stone for all Black people and mankind... it was just an awesome movie.

I think for a lot of these, you just didn't understand the movie...He wasn't monitoring the hospital. He was there to finish him off, and it's the same right-hand of Frost's that he sets on fire in the previous scene (how did you miss that, seriously?). He also uses her as bait, and isn't just dropping her off to fend for herself. As for sneaking into the club, same way Batman or any other stealthy comic character does. Should read one sometime.

You know normal sun block actually does block UV rays...that's kinda the point.
So I don't see why vampire scientist couldn't engineer a superior version, because if it's only UV that hurts them, literally normal sunblock would help that.
What about the insides of the mouth, nose and ears? And the eyes?
they were actually trying to do that if you saw the trilogy.
If that's the case then all Blade would would have to do is go around with a powerful UV flashlight and it would be way more effective than a gun, unless they are wearing sun block that is.

Just to let you know, Blade didn’t bite her to turn her he just bit her to take some blood.
Back in 1998, the sped up montages weren't cliche, nor the the bullet time. And the electro soundtrack was fantastic. They pre-dated the Matrix and were unusual on film. Of course, after the Matrix, everything became cliche.

They have a three-stage "safe action" (meaning that the safety is built into the action). The first stage is a secondary trigger built into the primary trigger. This same sort of lame mistake was made on the first episode of 'The Walking Dead'.
