    Ed tech should get wider apart from teaching for competitive exams, they must directly impact a student educational needs from 1 grade to till getting graduate and give career guidance as much as they can because I think most student fail due to carrier guidance that what opportunities they have available or how can they crete opportunities.

    • @backstagewithmillionaires

      Hi Vansh, this is Varun from Backstage with Millionaires. I help Caleb in his research and writing process.
      Regarding your question, it actually depends on the type of videos we are doing. You can easily find updates related to the Indian startups from news websites like YourStory and Economic Times, and in the case of well-known startups, you can also check out their websites or blogs for details.
      As for videos like this one, we look for the most recent research papers or studies from reliable consulting firms and industry leaders like KPMG, NASSCOM, PwC, etc, to understand the industry and then we look at various parameters including funding, the number of customers, geographical presence, online presence, among others to select the startups that fit our criteria. This is the short version of our research process. If there is anything else you would like to know, you are always welcome to ask. :)
      Glad you liked the video, we are trying to keep them informative and interesting at the same time!

    I have a doubt, how effective is it if we take learning online . By that considering the end result and engagement level , please help me find some related articles or data. We always had schools and now most of them are smart on the other hand we have online education kind of like accelerate the entire process and here every year comes out the less skilled graduates who probably have made a bad chosie following others or wrong course, so it all brings me to ask how effective will this all be , obliviously it's new for a lot of people.

    • @backstagewithmillionaires
      @backstagewithmillionaires  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Abijith, thanks for the comment! I have always felt that, as a student, you get what you put in to education. A student who doesn't care about the course material won't have a positive learning experience, whether they are online or offline. That being said, I feel that educators have a responsibility to make the material that they are teaching interesting for their students. This is where edtech really succeeds, in my opinion. Edtech startups are agile, they are innovative, and they have a vested interest in making sure that all parties involved are satisfied: students need to enjoy using their platforms, parents need to feel that they are getting their money's worth, and the government needs to feel that the education being provided by these edtech companies is creating intelligent, learned people who will improve and contribute to society. If they are able to satisfy these parties, they make money. If they aren't, then they don't.
      Of course, whether edtech platforms are truly a viable alternative or even a worthy addition to traditional offline education is something that a lot of people debate about. You will find people who believe that edtech in its current form fails to prepare students for the working world, and you will also find people who think that we should close down conventional schools for good and switch over to edtech completely. I fit somewhere in between, and don't really think that there is any one definitive answer to your question about how effective edtech is. It is really up to each individual student to decide and figure out which edtech platform, if any, is right for them.
      Sorry, I'm not sure if this was helpful for you or not. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reply to my comment and let me know! -Caleb

      it depends on where a child is studying. If school itself providing all services like teaching , doubt clearing , tests, night studies, additional classes etc. we better ignore online service for children. if child is studying in normal school or assume Gov school, online classes are very useful, if parents can afford fee. Recently I subscribed UnAcadamy for my children. my children getting befit from the classes. my children school is just teaching .. no night studies. so we decided spend some extra money to make children job bit easier.
