What a lovely piece! You put so much effort into each and every piece of artwork of yours! I’ve been watching your videos again and again, sometimes reducing the speed to see all those tiny details.I learned a lot, and you don’t know how much you inspire me. I tried to add tone to the paper and it worked so well. I'm going to post that piece tomorrow on instagram. Thanks a lot, Carly, for inspiring us!
Nice work. I hope to learn how to do art as good as you someday soon. Keep it up. I will like to thank artists like yourself. Because the hard work alone, reminds me of how much I need to step my game up and work hard as well.
The artwork is amazing. What I love the most about the artwork is the thought process behind it. I love the techniques with charcoal and brushes. I would like to mention about the background even though for most it would be a white one with little gradient but the application of white with brush was excellent and really smooth with no patchy work. Liked the face details created with eraser they were nice and sharp but at the same time blending perfectly with the face. Most favorite part of the drawing was cloth, there's a section in video where cloth is shown in closeup and you can actually see a texture in light section of cloth which you can see in real cloth(thin ones) as well no matter how smooth it is, so I found it very realistic. Overlaps of cloth was executed excellently and hair visible through cloth was another part which I found very realistic. The use of charcoal with brush is my most favorite technique for this channel. Excellent piece of art and keep up the good work. 👍
Wow thank you so much for your considered comment I really appreciate you noticing all of those details. I’ve put a lot of thought into each and every one of those elements so means a lot that you noticed and liked what I have done 😊
Happy New Year 🎉 I adored the big cat art works, which I know were incredibly labour intensive. The veil pictures look to be more difficult from a technical perspective though, what with the layering effects and maintaining the shading of the layers as they cross over the other. I love that you’ve obviously challenged yourself here, which is such a brave thing to do. Especially when the scale of the work is so big, and not a little A4 page. I feel like I’m watching an artist’s evolution in real time, which is fascinating and such a privilege. I hope you have an incredible year!
Thank you so much. I appreciate you noticing those details, you’re right it is very challenging technically and I do feel like there’s no where to hide with such a long sweeping veil. But thank you for your kind words, my pleasure
Thank you so so much. I worked as a video editor for a few years before I did my art full-time 😊 but I would just spend some time on TH-cam teaching yourself there’s so much amazing free content on here. I learned a lot by just googling my questions. Good luck 😊
Your art is great mam ... and im an artist too and I was using graphite for past years and shifted to charcoal recently and I always put immense pressure on the paper to get pitch black backgrounds ( i USE IVORY PAPER ) should i change my paper or tell me any other way for backgrounds its taking a lot of time to shade background
I was wondering on other videos I've seen this artist wet the paper with a big decorating brush, before she did the beautiful lions in charcol, does anyone know why you do that, and is it done with water or something else?...
Graphite and charcoal take a lot of patience and attention to detail, specially in a piece of this size! I did a graphite portrait size a4 a while ago and 15 hours later.. it takes a toll on your body😂 I bet you need to stop your art sessions to do yoga or something, I know I do! Make Art, Workout, Repeat. It takes a lot of passion and discipline to do what you do, at the skill level that you do so I commend you for that! Keep going and fill the "open space" with your creative visions✌
Al ver el final del vídeo . A mi me enseñó mi profesor de Bellas artes a echarle laca del pelo y queda genial es lo que uso para años cuadros por si te sirve de algo saludos
Is it a commission art work or you work in exibition only and sell there your art works ? By the way where do you live? It's very nice place for studio.

Smaller pieces take more time in comparison to large pieces , cause your movement is restricted and the minute details in smaller place.
Thank you for noticing ☺️ it does take a lot of discipline and patience. I also go to the gym pretty often and I find that helps 😊
@@carlyrenee.art that's good! Looking forward to your next videos!
