That the only way to grow as an artist, never be afraid , to not be in your comfort zone!! Great work! It's always a roller-coaster ride in your Art Life's Journey !! ....Ruben. ...
As a black and white photographer I appreciate the mono style. I have to say this is the most stunning mono artwork I have seen in a long while. Wonderful!
When you're in the "Zone" you flow nicely. When you're distracted you are stiff. It's the same for everyone. Finding the zone can be difficult. I have it when I try to write. Sometimes I flow like a current in the sea. Other times it's like pulling teeth. I know you can work through. With your move on your mind and being ill doesn't help. You are a tremendous talent.
Good created a perfect woman, beautiful in every way, and then gave her amazing talent. And that woman is you and we're all thanking him every day for it.
Carly you are so amazing! This video right here literally says so much about who you are and why I love watching you! Your work is incredible. I'm sooooo sorry to hear that you have to leave your studio, I know you love it there. I hope wherever you land next is just as beautiful and even better! The beauty that is you and your work, I mean, any studio would be lucky to have your presence fill that space! Keep your head up, you got this!
I'm so sorry you've not been feeling well! I hope you're starting to feel better. I'm also sorry about needing to move...moving is daunting at the best of times, but while not feeling well🥺 and being sad makes total sense because you were comfortable there, know the light, have your set up and where everything is to make it easier to work, so yea, that's a lot to process for sure. But, even if it takes a second to find your groove in your new place, I know you'll find new and wonderful ways, maybe ways you hadn't thought of before, to make your new set up even more amazing for yourself then before, so that can be exciting and may have you thinking in lots of different ways about lots of different things :) I look forward to seeing it when you're ready :) Mostly though I hope you're able to rest...being sick, covid or not, plus the stress of moving can take a massive toll, so let yourself rest as you need. You know you'll feel better soon and get back at it, until then, don't let it frustrate you, just let it be some forced down time ;) sorry....the mom in me came right out there didn't it😳😉😊🤗 I absolutely love seeing the process! That paper is amazing to take all that water too. And the toned background is gorgeous...and it's always wild to me how dark a toned background looks until you start putting down dark graphite or charcoal, and then it changes everything. Gotta love art :) I hope you're feeling better soon!!🥰
Россия, Омск тут.. Сибирь на связи и в наблюдениях за творчеством и созиданием... Творчество один из ключей к познанию чего то всеобъемлющего... Молодец)))
i,ve found when my mental health is bad, i work better. must be that im not worried on the creative side. love your work and keep smiling when you create.xxxx
Thank you for your amazing videos! I hope you are soon feeling better and best wishes to you in your new studio and what will hopefully be an exciting new chapter in your life.
Why are you so sweet? Your laugh sums up all your beauty, so never speak when you are working, because your drawing is very beautiful, and if you laughed, it would be more beautiful, and then I do not know whether to watch your work or observe your beauty. I wish you good luck.
Hope your feeling better physically and about the move. The emotion in your voice is a physical symbol of your commitment to your craft and it shows in your work. I never thought i would enjoy a channel like yours so much but here we are 🙂 all the best from the U.S.
It's wonderful that you shared your process, thank you! I understand that it can feel quite risky but I am very glad you have as it's exciting and mesmerising to watch as you progress. I'm sorry that you're not well and hope you recover quite soon. As others have said you are a true inspiration.
An excellent choice music at the beginning to go along with your beautiful art work. Not to mention you are doing a great job with producing these video's and editing them as well. Thanks for sharing Carly.
Hi! Your work is so impressive! It's good to see the progression of it, and you inspire all of the artists, great or small whom follow you. Cheers from Portugal!🇵🇹
Inspiring art process with amazing output. Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your art & life. May you fully bounce back soon from being in the gray health-wise. God bless!
Hi carly ..ive been following your journey and your great artwork ,big cats are amazing..loving the new journey your on ..i took up the art challenge myself over the past few yrs going from pencil..watercolour and now to oil to get the photo realistic art i want ..landscape was the start for me trees etc then pushed myself to different subjects as people throw ideas at me .....i think we need these challenges and failures to bring the best out in ourselves..so keep up the great work love the editing on videos ...you cant beat a good brew bit of music and lose yourself in your own little world ..get well soon from a chilly shropshire england
Nice work, and I enjoyed your process video! I hope you feel better very soon. Covid has seemed to effect every family. I am certainly thinking Spring and a more joyful 🌎 world! Art studio is my happy place too.
Hi Carly hope you feel better soon, thanks for sharing your video it is very inspiring and helpful, I also use charcoal and have recently started to create a background first rather than just working on white. It’s cool to see what you are doing unfold and the process you ago through to find different ways to achieve what you are after. I know from my own experience it is daunting to let people see unfinished work you are so brave but please know it is very helpful. Love your work blessings David
I feel that your videos are way more valuable to us newbies. Too often we don’t see that every artist struggles, both with pushing themselves as you said “ out of you comfort zone” and the struggle to balance everyday living with your artistic life. I hope you start feeling better and I hope you end up finding an even better home and studio. God bless.
Get well, your work is amazing and it's a shame that you are feeling under the weather. Thanks a lot for sharing your work and for your honesty. A big big hug from the Canary Islands ;)
Brilliant piece of art. I'm really excited for completion of this amazing work of art. There are many things that I liked a lot about the video first being of course the theme. Drawing on a grey background really enhanced things as transition from model to background was looking very smooth and precise. Plus it really adds to the perfection of the texture of the drawing. I loved how you showed the process of picking the right tone for background by trying it on different pieces of paper. Coming back to my most favorite part of the video aka artwork I absolutely enjoyed watching the rough lines of charcoal getting converted into fine piece of artwork with brush. Shadows in the artwork would be one of the most favorite part they were dark but blending into light in very smooth manner especially on skin. I like how face was kept bit blurry as that's how a face covered by cloth would appear even in real life. I found the skin texture very realistic and shadows on hand and back were amazing. I loved the detail work done on back of the hand near finger regions especially the glimpse of nerves that connect to fingers. I'm really looking forward for the completion of this amazing artwork. Get well soon and keep up the good work 👍
Just come across your channel...Hi nice to see you, enjoyed your video and shame about your studio! Im sure you'll end up in a good space as your artwork looks amazing. Looking forward to exploring more of your videos 👍 all the best!
Beautiful! Love this version better, however, the other one was more luminous. This one is more textured and I think has more depth. Enjoy the thought of moving as that will bring on another new surrounding to discover and will offer a different point of interest. Huge fan of your art work. Keep positive, keep smiling!
Hello Carly I just happen to come across you video, I don't usually post comment on video unless I really see something that I really like, I am very impressed with what your creative process. From what I can see you are heading down and Incredible path, So I wish you all the best and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Thank you for making my day by sharing your work with me and the rest of the you tube followers. Cheers and keep doing what you are doing I see very great things coming to you in the very near future. And I hope you are feeling much better. Sincerely a new fan and follower. LLB 😎
Hi,this is Adil Mubeen from Kashmir and I enjoyed watching this video just because of your style of making things possible for your art work ,I must say that this is really different for me believe me I learned more about art after watching this beautiful video. Thank you very much for providing us this wonderful video. God bless you and all the best for your future.
Really impressed me, I'm watching one of the art videos where it transcends all barriers. The way you make this video is also very good, no color, just black and white but without losing the aesthetic of the work. I am happy watching your video, and I will spread it to everyone.
I love seeing this. It was in my suggested videos and I’m so glad I stopped to check you out! I’m quite literally sitting in my makeshift art “studio” with things all over the place. I am in the middle of something I’m not sure will work, but I’m just gonna push through and hope I finish this one! Thanks for your video. Super inspiring. ✨🖤✨
Hello Carly!!! Al principio he estado desconcertado con la preparación de los soportes. Pero luego he disfrutado mucho viendo como de la nada sacas otro dibujo precioso. Me recuerda a cuando yo pintaba y dibujaba. Te sigo felicitando por tus trabajos. Me encantan!!! Q sigas dibujando por muchos años. 🥰🙋♂️😘
Well firstly, I hope you're feeling better again soon. Fingers crossed it isn't Covid. Shame you're moving from such a lovely place, which I'm assuming wasn't the plan? However, a new place and a new studio may end up being a great inspiration. I hope so. As I've said before, I am really enjoying this series which shows you evolving. I think it's a more interesting journey than simply seeing where you end up. Keep going, you're work is lovely.
Thanks for your honesty…I know what,it’s like to have to leave a space you love.l was in a atelier in Santa Monica , I had to leave after 15 years. I can’t make layout sketch with vine charcoal without looking like I was in a forest fire. How do you manage to work huge sheets in charcoal wearing a white top? Oh, that studio! We feel it Sister.
Omg!! After watching your previous video, I also added a tone to the paper, and I only used charcoal like you did in this piece! I pray for your speedy recovery, Carly, and I hope you get a negative for COVID! We are also going to miss this studio, as we used to see only this studio in your videos:|I reallyy love to see this process and you have been putting so much effort into it.
