I thought I’d feel I wouldn’t get my moneys worth for the £10 but this mode alone is 100% worth the £10, a decent amount of content and replay value and it’s actually a lot of fun
perfect tip for the mode. If i can, i want to give two tip: -in an assault with infected, try to shot to the leg and after do a melee attack, you will one shot the majority of infected ( not the shambler and bloater). -in an encounter with human, try to shoot them far enough with a gun had possibility to make a headshot and, if you been discovered, run away or try to put you in a position where you know the enemy had to pass. I hope is possible to read because english is not my first language.
Been having a lot of fun playing this, already completed all challenges. Only trophy I'm missing is beating a Daily Run on Grounded which isn't happening any time soon lol I tried once and lost at the first encounter
what are you ducking kidding me? I spent 300 hrs plus attempting to beat grounded an I achieved it this game is easy mode compared to lou kinda comical that people use cheats or what ever accessibility is No return looks meh should have been co-op Neil really messed up cutting ties with Lou online for part 2 of the show coming next year upsets me because they had something good but left it to burn
@@Unlucky7527You admit yourself that it took you 300 hours to beat grounded, yet you are baffled why people use accessibility options to make things easier? Some people don't want to spend that amount of time just for 1 or 2 trophies. Also, if you genuinely spent that much time just to beat grounded once without permadeath options, that's genuinely a skill issue.
Wow! That's some awesome advice. I'm getting most of it right. I keep my guns down to a minimum one long and one short, and I do just like you said. Save up for the things I need and try to conserve my powerful weapons for when I'm in a pinch. Gun management is key in this game. You don't want too many weapons and not have the ammo you need for the encounter. That's some pretty valuable advice. Best video I seen on this yet. This game is so unforgiving. I hate when I blow myself up after all the work getting to the final boss, or running out of ammo. But it's so satisfying when you lay a proximity mine and they spawn on it. One time I took out a whole wave with one proximity mine! I was in shock. That's what got me addicted or killing the final enemy by smashing their head against the wall because you had no ammo, just as the clock runs out has me fucking jumping in my seat to know if I've made it or not!
Been playing this mode a ton, and as easy as infected runs are, holdout is absolute hell on grounded. I’ve struggled so much I decide to do a custom run with exclusively holdout. Fun, but an absolute pain
I got a lot better at them. Get the hell out and kill as many infected as you can before they reach your hangout. Then focus on protecting your ally. I had to pick Normal difficulty since I couldn't get anywhere on Survivor and Hard. I have still have the Rat King to beat, but that's it. After I beat it, I'll try on Hard. He killed me twice in 2 consecutive runs. Next time, he's toast!
A big thing to note about Tommy and Joel: you can still jump with them which while, looks goofy and isn’t necessarily consistent; does work. The fact that they can’t dodge is on exchange for their fully upgraded starter weapons; and no, they are NOT sturdier to melee. They take the exact same amount of high damage from enemy melee AND they can get stunlocked just as easily. When it comes to traits “Sturdier against melee” is nothing but a lie.
Side note: these two are the absolute worst to get stuck with on daily runs because you have that horrible drawback in exchange for the fully upgraded weapons.
@cjwat1118 Yeah I was wondering about that. They didn't seem "sturdier " to me. Dodging is such a big mechanic in this game. I find using them to be wayyy harder because of its absence.
@@grumpypoof9648 Yep. And the fact that they still get two shot or one shot by melee damage is the real problem. What they should've done instead, if they weren't lazy, is give both Tommy and Joel a "parry", which is 1) harder to do staggers an enemy better and 2) eats melee durability. Then you'd maybe stand more of a chance.
Great tips and thank you for the shoutout! I look forward to see how you tackle the weekly custom challenge this week. Invisible enemies make a brief appearence in the run. 😉
Im looking forward to trying it out!! I was literally like 😮 when he mentioned the community cause I think its amazing the amount of effort you’re putting into that
Hi Dr :) You can also activate the "auto pick up option" like the "Scarvenger aset" in Factions to pick up all the stuff on the map, you don't need to push the triangle button. You can pick up a lot of stuff, more than you can imagine. In the Jackson map, you can destroy wooden barrels, stuff is hidden on them. Love and poop
As for the settings tip, a helpful one (if you're not opposed to it) is the auto pick-up items under the accessibility tab. You'll vacuum up every item you're close enough to grab. It even seems to work well while sprinting! I didn't miss many items because I spam triangle a lot while I run but that's caused me to accidentally interact with the work benches at the WORST times lol. This fixes that.
I was doing the daily challenge as tommy on grounded for the trophy. I got holdout, with invisible enemies..... Needless to say I ALWAYS avoid that mode unless im on a low difficulty
Poop 💩, you are my hero! Been following you since forever and still hope we will get some sort of Factions sometime. Thanks for the awesome content and the love for factions. Really appreciate it! ❤
Some really great tips on here and I mean actually useful not the usual ‘use your resources’ and stuff. Only done a few runs so far but will be trying out a few more with these tips. Thanks
Really enjoyed the video man and I love the fact you are making TLOU content. I’ve been trying to complete all my runs on Grounded and I personally actually find Infected the most annoying to play against. Idk if that’s just me but I feel as though I can play better against real people rather than infected as they aren’t so reckless and annoying although I get your point about them not having firearms. Great video nevertheless 👍🏼
The stealth branch is useless against bosses! I suggest leaving it alone. For holdouts : get the hell out and kill as many infected as you can before they reach your spawning point (except in the hospital). Don't hesitate to put the difficulty down a notch or two, it's brutal! Don't give up! Roguelites will kill you more than you'll succeed, by design. Focus on unlocking all characters and modes and then, you can pick "Custom Run" and choose the level types you prefer while still being able to unlock stuff. You don't have to do a regular run for this. Also, you can turn off modifiers. I do Holdouts mostly and am having a blast getting better at them with different characters. This mode is absolutely fantastic!!! Now I wish I could do those in coop! Come on Naughty Dog!!
A lot of people still don’t know you can pick up multiple supplies by holding triangle instead of individually picking each one up. A slight cheat is to enable auto pickup in Accessibility, helps a lot under stress!
I can also vouch for keeping it simple with 2, maybe 3 guns max. Better to have 2 fully upgraded guns than 4 mid ones, plus reduces thinking time in the heat of the moment!
Auto pickup is fine for the main game but no so good on no return. There is stuff everywhere, it's very easy to get caught out running away from infected, only to stop in your tracks to pick up items. It's got me killed by infected more times than I think it's worth.
Does anyone have any tips for completing Hunted against infected in the office or the other tight space map? Every time I run they always catch up to me bc it’s such a tight space
Choose a corner to defend where you can’t get flanked, one with only one or two entrances. Use trap mines at the entrances. Use pistols to pick them off if they’re far enough away. If they start to get too close in a group use shotgun or last resort use melee weapon. Loot bodies as they pile up for ammo. If you get too swarmed, run away.
I have been watching a ton of tips videos so I almost skipped this one. Thankfully I didn't, some unique tips and many THANKS for including the Discord and reddit links!

grounded mode is probably the most unforigving. the enemies can see you from miles away, you can't grab them head on or really anything other than right behind them, if you get grabbed by really any infected your health drops to almost zero with an exception of manny or maybe abby? idk, i've primarily used ellie more often than not the bodies drop close to nothing if not nothing, and if you're faced with rattlers or any kind of human-led assault past encounter 4 or even 3, there's like 15+ enemies in total.. (and if you're hit by a shotgun or a rifle it literally takes off 3/4 of your health) it's actually infuriating. and OF COURSE you can't listen to see the enemies, and you don't get any sort of "oh i think i saw her" it just jumps straight to "she's over here!" it's like the equivalent of knocking on someone's door and opening it at the same time.. and FINAL EDIT there's no indicator where the last enemy is! and you cannot see your health bar, or your ammo inside of combat, you can see your ammo outside of combat but you never get to see your health bar this was such a big rant omg grounded is driving me crazy
For the low gun count, its a good tip but i dont think managment is the best reason why. Less guns means your gonna get more ammo for the guns you already have, so it will be hard to run out. Having lots means you will alot of the time get ammo for guns you dont need ammo for.
