This song reminds me of my father in law. He passed recently and I know he is showing off his brand spanking new wings and his barbed wire halo because he was and will forever be a cowboy.

i thought i got emotional when i would listen to this song, he played this at cowboy church in San Antonio the other day, its even more powerful in an intimate acoustic show, i couldnt help but cry, to top it off i got to meet him, super humble, sweet, friendly man. love you aaron.

By divine providence I first heard this song the day before my grandma’s unexpected passing. It felt as if God himself was using this song to help me frame my understanding of my pain.
