It’s because that woman in the video is his wife, and the song was wrote for her, not to make a hit. She looks a little uncomfortable because she is not a singer or actor, just a normal person. But I can only imagine he wouldn’t want to make the music video with anyone else ❤️
So I was in a store today and heard this song. Instantly looked it up. First a Garth Brooks song popped up. But then I put Run wild horses and finally jackpot. Now I want to say this. Out of all theses music videos and songs that have hundreds of millions and billions of views. This one defiantly deserves to be up at the top. It almost makes you wonder what's wrong with people today. Amazing song.

I'm not really a country listener but while on my way back home from a long vacation, the only few radio stations that worked were country and this song happened to play. Immediately fell in love with it and shazamed it. Now here I am. Lol Surprised this video doesn't have more views! Totally deserves it.
Me too. Heard on the country radio station. Not a huge country music fan and thing else was on the radio.....then I fell in love with/this song. It has cross over appeal.
Although I do listen to country, I had a similar introduction to the song: I was the passenger in a car driving through Arizona/New Mexico and the driver had the radio playing when this came on. Also immediately fell in love, but didn't have Shazam at the time, so had to remember the time it was playing and went to the radio station's website to find it! The things we do for music we love :)

So it's late 2009 and I'm in Crosby by God Texas at a bar and Mr Watson is playing that night, but the opening band is one I had not heard before, it's a band called Midland and they were amazing, then Aaron kills the show and closes with "off the record" which if more people knew who he was they would know that's one of his best songs ever! But it was an amazing show and one of the best I had seen in a long ass time, I also drank beer with Mr Cody Johnson that night, it was a night to remember!

I cannot tell you how much I hate country music in general, but I can listen to this song non-stop for days. It is literally one of my very, very favorite songs, along with Avenged Sevenfold and Slipknot songs.
I would love to meet Mr. Watson. I am sure my brother has met him more than once, as he is a country music aficionado and works at a country music concert venue here in Indy.
UPDATE: I just found out Mr. Watson is going to be at the venue my brother works at on February 12th, and I have gotten tickets for my wife and I. This will be my first ever country music concert, but it is going to be a doozy.
