Yeah, the surges have some very odd tracking patterns when used against aerial enemies... (On an additional side note, you can use the surges to get to an area you're not supposed to depending on the character (I.E. Reaching an inaccessible door with Terra in Radiant Garden where you fought the trinity armor... nothing happens when you try to enter the door, mind you, but it's still interesting to see.) This aerial tracking is also pretty useful in the mirage arena as well for dealing with some aerial bosses.)

Having the right commands goes a long way in making this game fun to play. I think my favorite command is probably time splicer for Aqua. That shit cleans up large enemy crowds like nobody's business. Also gotta have the right commands so you can initiate the more fun command styles like Wingblade and Dark Impulse.
I actually figured it out on my own when playing with Terra because the mother flipper doesn't get any of those fancy things. I had yet to try it with Ventus and Aqua
Wingblade is probably my favorite style command for Ventus. And whoever thought of that D-Link mechanic for the final Vanitas fight can get fired... ...from a cannon...
The atmosphere of this fight is cool, but many people have whiffed Last Word which basically either got them killed or just had to build the link gauge back up again with the repetitive attack options. I would've liked if the D-Link was actually available for Ventus to use outside of just the mechanic and you simply go into for the fight like Terra does with Dark Impulse against Hi Mark!

Just because the boss design in those games make it nearly impossible to play. Ramza Beloved the "normal way" to do it would be to come back after getting glide from Neverland and go through the sewer, which leads to an adjacent rooftop a little bit higher than the rooftop with the chest. the semi-tricky way to get super glide early would be to use slide dashes instead of glide, and then theres the speedrun route which abuses how strangely high this game launches you upwards when attacking foes above you

i think it was a hit that was technicly registered slightly before the finisher,so it would have gameovered if the hp would have reached 0(at least my theory).however,dying alongside the boss is possible.if you have aqua dlink and the d link would revive you,the fight is actually calculated further.if the boss reaches 0 hp during that time(probably mines),the d link cant revive you since the foght is already over and you are just dead xD it doesnt glitch tho,it just counts it as your win as usual.
a different way to get early superglide is to complete the sewers portion and then just equip 2-3 Sliding dashes (base ones have the highest range compared to the elemental ones) to cross over

Aqua may have the toughest bosses but she also has the greatest tools in her arsenal. For example she has the best command styles, the dodge with the most invincibility frames and a 360 omniblock.
I think it's a physics issue due to 60FPS, like how Vexen would automatically have Dark Sora at 2 bars at the start of the fight or how certain Reaction Commands would straight up fail in KH2

Agreed, Aqua can break the game very early. She's by far the easiest to clear the game, even on level 1 critical.

Aqua may have the toughest bosses but she also has the greatest tools in her arsenal. For example she has the best command styles, the dodge with the most invincibility frames and a 360 omniblock.

I think it's a physics issue due to 60FPS, like how Vexen would automatically have Dark Sora at 2 bars at the start of the fight or how certain Reaction Commands would straight up fail in KH2
