    I could understand what are the basics of music from your class.
    Your demonstration is extremely good. Surely you are a blessed one in demonstrating singing and in fluency in english

    Hello Ma'am, this was a clear explanation. Still, I have a doubt. Whether head voice is different from Nasal voice? Because we tend to use nasal tone for higher notes as you said. So it is the head voice right?

    Can you do a video with a extensive checklist of voice strengths and voice weaknesses? A checklist where one can look at and check off their own vocal strengths and weaknesses? Just a suggestion for a video (cuz it would help me obviously :-) ). Thanks for the great job you are doing on this subject.

    Very interesting for better voice. I would like to know about daily warming up in the morning. To what extent one should reach to higher,i.e. taar saptak notes when practice early in the morning.lf needed to expand slowly, then which way..? Because 10' doesn't allow to touch high notes so abruptly. Pl. Guide 🙏

    Thank you. This was really useful. Did not realize that i can sing the higher notes without turning nasal. But why is nasal voice considered as not sounding good. Lots of Illayaraja s songs that he sings are nasal example naan thedum sevvandhi . Same song sung without a nasal tone i feel does not sound as good. Your comments are appreciated.

    As a carnatic musician, I hear a lot of nasal tones and voices, since voice training is not giving to singers, but the singers who have trained in light or semi-classical music or have sung different types of genres from a young age, have an open throated voice. It is very hard to listen to nasal voice for a long time. I also hear many people say "my voice is more carnatic", meaning more gamaka oriented according to them, but they forget that they are damaging the vocal cords, not giving importance to the meaning of the lyrics/ krithis that they sing. Unnecessary gamakas, nasal tones, and mis-pronunciation of letters, if very common among many musicians. It is truly unfortunate. Men sing more nasally in carnatic, not sure why, it really frustrated me. Examples of beautiful voice textures with open-voice are Ranjani Gayatri, Bombay Jayashri, Kruthi Bhat, to name a few.

    Gosh, I just found your channel and this is the third clip I'm looking at but I have a few questions. Forgive my ignorance please. I grew up in the Caribbean/South America's region and 4th. generation Indian. I've always played a guitar and sung since I was six and the scale I always used was the doh ray me scale for singing and mostly blues scales for guitar playing. The scales you are using sounds the same but it's broken up. I am trying to focus, concrete and learn at the same time. Any recommendations? I have been out of music since 1995 and only just started playing and singing again. Oh, I can sing songs by Mukesh, Mohamed Rafi and Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdinck with ease but I find like I am straining my voice since I started again about 2 months ago.

    I do not completely agree with you. Singing is mixture of all instruments including nesal voice. It is advisable to use head and nesal voice for higher notes. You can not sing high notes with open throat.

    • @VoxGuru
      @VoxGuru  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a difference between nasal voice and nasal resonance using the mixed voice. The mixed voice can definitely be used as we proceed to higher notes. But a pure nasal voice where the sound is resonating through the nose is not advisable. There are mainly 3 syllables that are meant to sound nasal - m,n and ng. All other syllables are to be sung with a more open sound using mixed voice and head voice.

    • @chintanpatel6797
      @chintanpatel6797 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@VoxGuru so Madam, with due respect this explanation should be reflected in your explanation together in your discussion. I can say when you sing in your videos that you are using nesal voice yourself. Moreover, when we use head voice or mixed voice, the nesal is the way release your breath actually. Please observe this very closely. But you said you should release your breath from nesal. One can not learn the art of using head voice or nesal voice without releasing the breath from nose. I would suggest you to observe the process when you sing. But you are right that the singing should not sound like you are singing from nose. That is a good point to discuss in your videos if you really want to create value. Because that requires some riyaz and practice.

      @@VoxGuru th-cam.com/video/cTJGZuk6thg/w-d-xo.html please refer to the above video. the creator in the above link video promoting actually that we should use our nasal voice but in a way that it should not sound like nasal voice. Even though the video is for English singers, it is still applicable to everyone who wants to improve their singing. Have a look at it. There are very few teachers share this important information. My aim is not to argue with anyone, just making some effort to force the creator to share the right information.
