CO2 air gunner for years. Since my dad bought me a Crosman Mark 1 when I was 10 because BB guns were too dangerous. I'm 65 now. (still have that pistol and shoot it regularly, along with some other crosman's and some hot rodded Chinese rifles.)
And just now getting serious about a PCP.
I have no desire to spend all that money on a "finite vessel of air". In reality, the main reason I have not jumped on the PCP bandwagon yet.
I have been following your videos for a good while now on the CS2 and 3, and of course the original Hot Rod.
Pretty impressive pieces of machinery. Especially being able to run one from a running vehicle.
Really liked the plug in set up you did on the truck many videos ago.
This CS4 is amazing. I was shocked to see you ran it over 3 hours non stop, and blown away that the manufacturer says it can go 5 hours. I had not read any literature on this model.
While it is not what I need, I am encouraged to see the manufacturer is investing the engineering and development time to continue to improve their product line.
Thanks for cranking out these videos. I have shared many with my friends. They are a real treasure trove.

I just got the CS4 and did a Dead Head test. It took 24 seconds from 0 to 300 Bar. I really do not care for the instructions given with the unit. They could have been bullet pointed in sequence and better English. I came to the part where you add the water and it said to fill the tank and start the pump. You then would get an immediate drop in fluid level and to keep adding water until it runs out of the water return hole. So I added the water to about 3/4" from the top and started the water pump and nothing happened with the water level. I waited a few minutes and still nothing. The water was a little discolored from whatever was in there before. I finally had the courage to start the dead head test. It went fine. I then proceeded to fill my 2L tank and it took about 45 minutes. Overall I was very happy it was working well but I will now check into what it takes to flush the water tank. Since I am a beginner I find the lack of clear, thorough, practical instructions for all things PCP wanting. I will be documenting everything I learn from this and maybe take a shot at doing a video from the perspective of a beginner. I think it's easy for experienced folks to overlook some steps because you think your audience should already know those simple things. Anyway, thanks for your videos they do help.

I only fill my guns directly. Using a YH of course. Takes about 20 seconds max to fill, for example, an Umarex Origin. I dont even use water Nov - March. Im curious to see some fill times of the GX models vs YH. The GX models APPEAR to me to be quite slow. That being said, everything in life is a trade off of some sort or another.

Good stuff so far. Mostly what I fill is a 9L SCBA bottle from 225bar to 300bar (topping it off) so I can take the bottle out in the field. The Yong Hengs just don't last. Never got more than 10 runtime hours out of one. I have had 4 or 5. I do run extra fans, never let it get over 60c, and never run it for more than 10 minutes at a time. I have been running Royal Purple in the last couple.

I'm done with the Yong Hengs. Got 3 hours out of my last one. Granted, I pretty much only use it to fill my 9L tank from 250 bar to 300 bar, but I baby the crap out of it. Never let it get past 60c (or 10 minutes run time, whichever comes first), run an extra fan and bigger water pump, and use good oil. I need something more substantial.
