- Maintained by the State Fisheries Department, a 25-acre mangrove forest at Alapad panchayat in Kollam district is slowly evolving into a major tourist destination. One of the major attractions of the place is its rich ecosystem which bustles with indigenous species of aquatic and terrestrial animals. Pond preserved for pisciculture is a common sight in this area. Apart from all these, an ancient church established by the Portuguese is yet another sight to cherish. Explore the mangrove forest and its stellar surrounds through this video.
