    Easy to replace... Worth it, Jeep seems to run better. No coolant smell.

    The leak was at the small hose connection, I could smell coolant and it seemed to run hot because it didn't hold pressure. Nice now.

    How important is it to drain the system?
    Can I just change the part without draining the system?

    • @davidamarquez

      Im going to attempt it right now without fully draining it.

    • @SummerEaze

      Coolants has part water so it should be fine, make sure no wires are beneath it or cover the area to be safe. Draining just makes it less messy to clean up.

    Was yours a 2.0L engine? Mine was cracked and overheated as it was leaking coolant. Do you happen to have the parts number for the reservoir? Thanks.

      If you’re still under warranty, I would highly recommend going to a dealership and making them fix it. I’ll look for the part number for you and reply back on this thread.

      Not sure if it's the same part on the 3.6L Mopar: 68283565AB

    Was it necessary to drain all the radiator fluid to change that part?

    • @johnschatzlein2589
      @johnschatzlein2589 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, I used a squeeze bottle to suck out the coolant in the tank. Remove the bolt with an extension, the hose...

      You don’t have to drain but just be ready to catch a bunch of coolant when you undo the hose

    The first time I checked the coolant in my JL I knew this was going to be a failure part

    The resivouir was 94 bucks from the dealer, the coolant should be orange, 2018 wrangler JL.

      I also have a 2018 Wrangler JL and my bottle just failed. :(
      Is yours a 3.6L? If so, what is the part number for the bottle? I’m going to order one tomorrow.

    • @SummerEaze
      @SummerEaze 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JustinWebProhey I have 2018 JL 3.6L. Do you happen to have the part #? I suspect my reservoir has a leak at the bottom connector. Couldn’t locate the leak anywhere.

      @JustinWebPro 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SummerEaze buying a new reservoir bottle might not solve your problem if it’s an issue with the tubing. I’m assuming you’ve tried filling the bottle up to the fill mark and checking to see if anything leaks?
      Give me a moment and I will find the part number.

    • @SummerEaze

      @@JustinWebProyeah the leak was 1 drop per second so it was unnoticed for a while. I did a flush recently & it emptied within seconds after refilling when engine was running warm. Anyway, I poured water & finally found it leaking right beneath the the reservoir where the hose attaches to the base of reservoir. I think ordering the hose is the right way to go.
