I’ve watched every worlds since S2. This is meta and storyline wise maybe the best worlds ever. Two incredible teams who had two insane runs and so many memorable games on their way to finals. And no matter who wins, it will be deserved and a super emotional goosebumps moment.
Its tied with season 3 for me. Ive been watching since s2 as well. But since s3 was the introduction to the "unkillable demonking" which was initially that highlight video of faker. Was unreal. He was a monster. I stayed up till like 2 am just to watch faker in korea when i was in highschool lol

Deft actually has 1 International Trophy when he won MSI in 2015 vs Faker actually XD. It was the game 5 where PaWn countered Fakers LeBlanc with Morgana. He just hasnt won a worlds title and hasnt ever made it past semis at worlds.
DK's orgs were regretting and malding their decision that they "let-go" or kicked Beryl. Yes he was inting last year but u lost a commander at the draft where u dont know what to pick and a shotcaller, and look him at now he is back at the Finals. Beryl the only support before anyone knew about it at 8min mark, he will straight to mid to solo xp the whole wave (6 cs/+ cannon) to gain level 6.
Beryl wouldn't have let Gen.G pick 100% WR yuumi 2 games in a row . Yeah he int some games for DRX too but, you get higher ceiling with playmakers over passive supports .
Idk I just feel like even the worlds anthem Star Walkin sounds like it's made for the Drx, the underdogs. It's like the stars have alined and universe is in favor of them.

JDG vs T1 games 1 & 2 were some of the most competitive games of league I’ve ever watched. I wish there was a losers bracket so there was a chance to see it again.

For the Damwon western fans who think Damwon would be better than T1 if they banned Yuumi, I don’t think so. Only fans who don’t ever watch Korean interviews would say so. Nuguri in an interview said he doesn’t see the game in the saw way as the rest of the team. There is still a disconnect between top and other 4 thanks to the narcissist Daeny rotating top so much in summer (the same guy who ruined T1 last year until he got fired and T1 picked up again to make worlds with this roster minus zeus) The other aspect is Damwon has no great shotcaller since Beryl left. He was a massive influence for in game objective fights and set ups, drafts and overall leadership. Canyon in spring mentioned feeling lost at times without that influence. Lastly, while Canyon is miles better than Oner, difference in Faker and Showmaker is negligible in terms of roaming. Showmaker may be better in laning. The major problem is bot lane, Deokdam and Kellin have too small champ pools and would get exploited by Guma Keria. This is a guy who would regress to Ziggs when Aphelios got banner. The only other champ he can play well is Lucian perhaps. So how does Damwon beat T1 if their only advantage is jungle, mid is even and everywhere else is a dumpster fire? At best they would have the same result as JDG. A 3-1 with 2-3 super competitive games and a straight up stomp at the end
TPA's was pretty impressive too but that was a time where even the LCK was just rising and now we have 4 monster teams from LPL and 3 other from LCK + great and popular western teams like G2, this seems more impressive. I'm an LCK fan but before worlds I would double think of putting DRX above G2 or Rogue I would think they were on the same level.
The storyline of a bommer leading a team of zoomers reminds me so much of kings avatar which is funny because the novel was adapted by tencent the owner of riot and league.
Zeka to me is overhyped. im not saying he isnt good or he doesnt deserve the finals, but i dont think hes necessarily better than any other mids at worlds. To me hes just setup everygame for success by his team so it makes him look extra good. their team is built and ran to play through mid and top so he should be doing well when he gets the resources everygame
I think DWG are great but i think something broke in their gameplay when they changed botlane. All year they are just off. And Nuguri didn't change anything. I think that Guma Keria wins against Deft BeryL. So I agree that one of the most important things is if oner can outplay pyosick imo. If we talk about some weaknesses from drx it could be kingen f.e and drx's champ pool, i believe that guma actually is better than deft, faker can counterpick zeka or hold the lane against him every game. Zeus is really good but it's true that he could overextend. But the thing is, that pyosick can gank top and bot at the same time, so there is the problem for drx and pyosick. And i agree with Caedrel about those things he said about t1 and using their strength against them
