Chris here! I have a good , old scary , Ghost story for ya this week.
Tonight's story is about a family that goes to the old west Mining Town of Mokelumne Hill, California. The family spends the night at the old Hotel leger and experiences many strange and frightening encounters in this haunted California Hotel. I also do a short night tour of Carson City, Nevada.

I also stayed in a haunted house for a month in Salt Lake city. Foot steps in my bedroom, someone doing dishes in the kitchen late at night, throwing cups and silverware on the floor.

It's pronounced Moke-kul-um-nee. Just outside of Sonora between San Andreas and Jackson. The Legend of this Hotel lives on throughout the foot hills of the Sierra Nevada Range. Yessir, this story is told by many of the old timers in the mountains. The Frog Jumps take place every year to this day in Angels Camp...Calaveras Co. I've been going to it for years. Every one should take the kids to this....good food and a lot of fun. Good show Chris ...Thank you. God Bless.

This story is very much like a story that my friend's step son went through at the Eureka Springs Cresent Hotel in Arkansas went through......the hotel has a pretty interesting past. LOTS of stories to be told from that place!! I was there mid June, took pictures and we saw orbs, green energy spots and a "face" on the leg of my friend's leg......CRAZY stuff!!

I heard walking outside my bedroom door one night when I was home alone. I tried to blow it off until I saw the shadow of shoes/feet in the space under the door, because the light was on in the hall. I pretty sure it was my Grandpa looking for my Grandma. There were many happenings until my Grandma passed away. By the way this happened in her house, my family and I moved in with her to care for her because she had dementia.

I experienced a continuous activity witnessed by our staff and customers in a restaurant. I was on day and night at the place. One evening it was so bad I ran away. I was alone and closing up.
Besides that I have experienced the sleep paralysis and seen/felt the shadow man. Also seen the shadow person when awake. Once my son and I saw one. It is so odd. My ex also saw one. There is something weird in our world.

@@basecampchris thank you for replying Chris. Yes it was. This was in Greenland. From a former USAF base called Sondy. Blue West 8 I think. Before my time bases (4) was called Blue West bases. Alert bases DEW and regular USAF bases. Thule Air base is the only one now here from US.

I was in MT for a year as an exchanged student. One of my best years… still have contact to the “family”. My second mom and dad. And a brother but most importantly two sisters I never had. I was supposed to have a baby sister but she died prior birth. I got a blood brother instead.
@@basecampchris the posh restaurant was O-club. “Officers Club” called “Fox and Hare” but it was for everyone even Dane and Greenlandic people, civilians with clearing pass. (People living there). We got clearance from Security Military Police. The head of SMP I worked with. He worked there because he was bored off duty. Hahaha great guy. Nerdy person. Tall elder guy with thick glasses. Typical cartoon caricature. But he was a nice guy.
I took my dads video camera with old school video tape bought at the BX and recorded a walk through video with my GF, later wife. I think the old video tape is lost. My dad recorded over my video I think. My ex-wife can confirm this. Even though we don’t talk today.
That was really good n so scary. Poor Anna! My sister's name is Anna n I know she would have freaked out if she has the blankets snatched off her late at night while everyone else were sleeping so nicely!!! I could hear her screaming!!! Luckily nothing very bad happened to the family. Ghosts can be very dangerous. Thx for this story n keep 'em coming, Chris !!!! I love these!!!

Hi Chris, great scary story and I recognized some of the pictures posted during this episode - of an older movie called "The Haunting" with Julie Harris from 1963 - a favorite scary movie of mine in a caliber up there with "'The Legend of Hell House" with Roddy McDowall another favorite. The speak and spell voice at the end of this saying "keep hiking" was Perfect LOL

Wow, what a story - seems there is definitely someone still around that hasn't quite made it to the other side! The hotel looks beautiful though, all in old Western style instead of this soulless modern style that most hotels now prefer.
These old gold-mining cities sure are often haunted - looks like this spirit just wanted to sleep peacefully in that other room, hence it took the pillows and the blanket? I can just picture some tired old cowboy grabbing what he wants, not taking "no" for an answer (hence he pulled even harder at the blanket when the lady pulled her blanket back up), running to the locked room - only to realize he can't exactly rest his tired body because... well, he doesn't have a body any more.
He probably haunted the saloon after that in frustration... lol.

I've really been enjoying all these stories! Such an inviting and fun way to share the art of storytelling. One of the Bigfoot stories came up on my feed and I've been hooked ever since, listening from the oldest story up to this one. Love the robotic Speak-n-Spell "Keep Hiking" at the end! :D. It will be hard when I get caught up and have to wait a week between stories! Thanks so much for all the work you put into your Channel.
I like the name of “Carson City”. In a bunch of old west cowboy movies,they a,ways mention going to Carson Cit, lol. Love it!!!

That was an EXCELLENT ghost story!--one spooky thing after another! Brrr! I was afraid to turn off the lights in my bedroom for fear of hearing footsteps walking around. Heehee! Please give us lots more creepy ghost stories like this! And thanks so much for this! :)

I can't believe I just saw this video! I just stayed in room 1 at hotel Leger Last weekend! But... It was super relaxing and not scary at all😅 well except for the people down at the bar made lots of noise, but it made for an interesting night. Plus you get ear plugs so you can sleep in peace ☮️ the place is so cool! Definitely recommend. I live nearby in Murphy's but this was my first time. Great place!

I've spent many nights in a hotel in Missouri traveling playing music. You heard people outside your room but no one was there when you looked out into the hallway and one night my briefcase was thrown across my room. I never stayed there again. Hotel Frederick.

I stayed in the same manor in UK that the Haunting of Hill house was filmed & i heard like foxes 🦊 crying and like a staticky radio sound , all night
My sons friend ( they were 18) was terrified and came into my adjoining room

It was owned by the Russians , and it is an old house there is a plaque dating 1100 but theyd made these hotel rooms look cheap
