I taught children’s church for some 40 years. Seeing you with the headlamp reading the Bigfoot stories made me think of the times I read to my students. I would tell them if they behaved in class, I would read my Sasquatch books to them. Worked like a charm! I had a mock up fire and we turned out the lights and I would hold my flashlight and read! Lol! These kids were inner city kids. They had never been in the woods let alone see a Bigfoot! So much fun! Happy memories!❤

I love teaching the kids the most. I was talking to about 10 kids on Riverside road in oil city Pa. Telling them about forest people and they are always watching when you go out into woods. I said even here where we are. A girl around 17 years old said that gives me the creeps. I said they won't hurt you. They might even help you if you ask. Immediately a 4 foot log chunk fly off the hillside about 20 yards away. We all froze and looked to where it came from. After about 30 seconds one stepped out from behind a tree and moved across the hillside and out of view in 3 steps. I looked at the kids and said you just saw your first one. Lol. The girl says who are you! Lol. A guy who drank there nightly (Dave) was amazed. Never knew they were around him ever. He appreciated seeing him.

When I was a kid I lived in NE Oklahoma on the land of the Cherokee. Half my family is full blood Cherokee, and we heard, experienced and told spiritual stories, or legends almost everyday. So at the time I wouldn't relate this particular experience to a sasquach. For me it must have been one of the many skeelies, which is how you pronounce the Cherokee word for ghost or spirit. Anyhow I was with a friend out at her grandmother's old house. A dilapidated little cabin at the edge of a hollow. Suddenly out of nowhere these huge rocks came barreling towards us. They were the size of basketballs flying passed us, nearly missing our heads. And they were whizzing by as fast as a professional baseball pitch. At first we thought it might be her brother's messing with us. Being fearless kids we went to investigate. We stood at the edge of ravine and saw nothing. We went around to the front side of the house and the rocks came flying passed us again. There was nobody there. We started think we weren't welcome and attributed it too an evil skeely. It was time to go. We left, talked to the elders and they too said it was a spirit. Now I'm not so sure. I think it could have been a sasquach.

Ghosts don't throw rocks... half Hopi here, I also grew up with spiritual stories, never knew a time when I wasn't spiritual and understood the close link between people and nature. I'm in the UK though, near me there's a forest where there's been lots of Sasquatch annd wolfman sightings.

Could it be both? An evil spirit in a sasquatch body?

    • @LittleKitty22
      @LittleKitty22 ปีที่แล้ว

@@susanbruner5385 That's possible. Maybe that explains why some people have positive experiences with them and get helped and protected, while others get eaten or have the living daylights scared out of them. One encounter I heard about, was a man getting led to a trap by a Squatch. It doesn't add up, all these contradictory stories. Maybe some are real Squatches, and some are evil spirits taking on the form of a Squatch to deceive us into thinking we are safe with them! This is how all evil spirits work by the way.
I'm still trying to escape the clutches of one of these creatures - not a Squatch, it's in human form but clearly not a human. It deceived me into believing I was safe with it. It eats people, and it wanted to eat me. Since I saw the truth about it, I avoided it - now it's invading my dreams like mad! It's been going on for years. I don't have any Elders around here so no one to discuss this with.

I had a weird experience in Humboldt Redwoods State Park myself. There's an 11 mile trail loop you can do that goes into the middle of the park. I like it because you can't hear road traffic at all once you're a mile in. Just the natural deep quiet of an old growth redwood forest. The trail climbs for five miles to the top of a ridge. It was late afternoon in the summer, I was almost to the top of the ridge when I heard what might be called a wood knock, coming from somewhere in front of me. It was a single "thwack" and was unbelievably loud. I cannot describe how loud it was. I live and work in the woods, I've heard many big trees fall. The decible level doesn't compare. It stopped me in my tracks. I stood still and listened for awhile wondering what the heck it could be. Hearing nothing, I took a few steps forward to continue my hike, then another unbelievably loud whack sounded. This time it came from somewhere behind me. My hair stood on end, and I knew I had to get out of there quick, going back the way I came. I made myself walk, and not run, tho I made it 5 miles back to the parking lot in record time.

@@paulrivers7248 oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're able and willing again. I actually found Chris' channel because of the Bigfoot stories, lol. I like his videos for both the camping and hearing just how many people have had experiences. And good grief, how does he find so many different kinds of beer? Lol. I actually saw something as a kid that some of these stories reminded me of, so it's kind of comforting to know so many other people have seen things too. I might never camp in a little dome tent off trail again, lol. Maybe more camping included with these new videos? The bigfoot community is rather large, so stopping these might not happen. He's getting close to 100k subscribers too.

Exactly! But people don't even believe me that I've suffered extreme abuse (from humans, not Sasquatch). They accuse me of making it all up. Why would I - I was in full time employment until I became severely disabled, and since then I'm busy begging doctors for an operation that would cure me! I wouldn't have time to sit and make up stories - I don't even find the time to email my friends overseas so I'm sure as hell not going to dream up something as terrible as abuse! But I'm having to keep as quiet about it as folks have to about Sasquatch or ghost encounters - to keep the ignoramuses happy! Why do we always have to pander to the stupid???

Central PA about 12 years ago we were doing our annual walk to dead end camp (this cabin all by its self 3 miles dead into the woods) hence that’s why it’s called dead end camp. No cell service at all in these woods. There was I think 10 of us (uncle, cousins, mom, siblings) we made it to dead end camp then walked back. And one thing we noticed but I remember I was the one to smell it. This awful wet dog/ ammonia/ petting zoo type smell. Now this is coming from a man that spent his whole life on the farm. I know almost every smell in the book. Anyways, I brought it up and my mother spoke about it too. Everyone got scared we thought it was a bear. We made it back to our cabin safe. What’s weird about the story is this smell lingered in the middle of the gravel road we had already walked past. And the stank was HEAVY! I mean like stank like it invaded your nostrils stank. Skunks don’t smell like that. I never smelled a bear but I know they don’t smell like that. One thing about that night is it was very bright from the moon. Even in the dense woods we could still make out the gravel road but that’s about it. Couldn’t see into the woods. We still to this day don’t know what that was. My story is probably lame compared to others but it is true. Last thing, the woods was very quiet that night. Not even a breeze

Hello Chris I had posted last year in the comments about an experience that I had on October 16,2022 at 3:53 am seeing what I believe to be a bigfoot. You had commented back saying that you would like to possibly use the story on your channel. At the time it was just a brief sighting that honestly wouldn't have been very interesting but now that I have put more together from my father having an experience years before I was born in the same area to myself hearing ,what i believe i had seen, calling very loudly in the same area. When this happened all the deer in the area were on high alert staring in the direction of the calls. It's actually way too much to type but I would love to share my story with you in hopes of sharing information that I have put together with people who possibly are investigating these cryptids. I am currently working on a plan to capture this thing on film once the weather breaks here in Pennsylvania.

Thanks Chris for sharing others experiences. I always look forward to Sunday and your next story. I do remember an incident when I was about 10 years old, my family went to visit a friend that had a cabin in the woods of Rhinelander Wisconsin. The men went out fishing on the lake and the others were in the cabin preparing lunch. I decided to take a walk in the woods because I was bored. I walked until I happened on a clearing that was in a perfect circle about 30 feet across. Immediately the hair stood up on the back of my neck. Beyond the clearing the forest was thick with trees and dark although it was the middle of a sunny day and it was dead silent. I turned and ran back to the cabin and to this day that memory is still vivid. I don't know why I felt I was in danger but I'm glad I listened to my instincts. I don't go into the woods to this day unless I'm with a group of people!

My Dad & Uncles would scare the heck out of my cousins and I at camp gatherings. We now laugh and share these stories at EVERY gathering with the next generations who love to be scared by US! Storytelling is a family tradition highlight! Cheers!

Chris, i LOVE this new aspect of your BCC storytelling, please do this again at will! Everything you do is awesome. These accounts are a wonderful way for you to include and connect with your viewers.
I am happy to report that I have had NO Sasquatch encounters, may it remain that way, unless I’m driving by one at 60 mph & 500 feet away.
PS: when I was growing up, my people would say:
    “He’s a good egg.”
[If they had a time machine and could thus be lucky enough to watch your channel.]

One of the best things about the way you tell stories is that you don't over-sensationalise them, you just tell it straight without judgement or exaggeration. And you don't overclaim on your own experiences either, which also points to someone who would be a good witness in court, your Honour. While I listen to various TH-camrs on various subjects, the ones which are believable are the small and simple oddities which can't be explained any other way. In all odd situations we should try to rule out natural causes (such as pine cones dropping on the roof) and when they are ruled out, what's left must be considered feasible. There have been too many people you have featured who have SEEN a tall hairy man to discount that sasquach exists.

I’ve got a story that happened in summer of 16, George Washington natl forest Virginia. Didn’t see a thing but heard plenty. Cool story and thing to have happen to me. Story told to a member of LE tied to that area, and was told by him that there are odd things that happen in that area.

Thank you Chris and to all the viewers who sent in stories for you to share. I live in Maryland and have never experienced anything strange or out of the ordinary. Although there are lots of documented stories of Dogmen and Bigfoots in my area (Central and Western Maryland). These encounters seem to be happening more and more frequently. Keep hiking everyone!

Hello Chris, Your Awesome and Amazing. Your doing a Great and Fantastic job. Making videos and telling us about all these true stories. This is Great that there is a place where the truth can be told and your not judged . I just came across your channel a week ago. I have been watching the Howtohunt youtube channel with Steve. He talks about the same criteria you do. Chris keep on making these great videos and telling us about All these peoples adventures in the outdoors and there experiences and encounters of the paranormal. Which we know is ALL TRUE. And the Government hides the truth from us. And i hope that people keep on sending in there experiences and there encounters. Chris Have a Great and Blessed Day and Evening. Yours Truly Mman from Michigan

I used to try to imitate barred owls all the time while roosting wild turkeys. The Tom's will gobble if they hear an owl hoot after sunset or before dawn when they gobble in the dark you know where they're roosting. Hope I never caused anyone to quit camping.

To Mr Osborne, I hope you are able to find peace and get back into the woods again. I've had a few strange experiences and one was a little unnerving and it did spook me and keep me out of the woods for a while but I put myself through what I jokingly refer to as Bushcraft rehab and was able to get back out and start enjoying what I live for. I just had to come to the realization that there are things we can't explain. Those "things" can really get inside your head and make what was supposed to be an enjoyable experience pretty miserable. Focus on the good times when you're out there. Sometimes it's not that easy to do but i hope I helped. Thanks Chris!

Hi, Chris! This video was great, good to hear from others' experiences. I have to say thank you for making a really great point: I think a lot people who don't believe in things such as bigfoot, ghosts, and other unexplained phenomena - they just chalk it up to the one who experienced it and telling about it being crazy, looking for attention, etc. What you said is correct - "we aren't all crazy, looking for attention, or on drugs!" Exactly! When you have so many coming forward with similar stories, you've got to give that attention and some credibility, in my opine. Thanks again, loved the video!
