I want to get this one in September of 2024 when they reprint it, in June 2024 they are having a Mark bagley omnibus which takes place after Eric Larsen Omnibus, get both for like $75.00, a piece.
I've come around a bit on Larsen's art since I did this review, it's still not my favourite but I think I was probably a bit too harsh on it from what I remember
Do you think this omnibus could be skipped and go from Michelinie/Mcfarlane to Michelinie/Bagley(upoming) ? It doesn't sound like there are major story progressions in this run. Would appreciate your thoughts!
Overall yeah I think most of this can be skipped, a lot of these issues are just kind of average to me. There's nothing particularly good or bad. I'd say worth reading digitally rather than tracking down the omnibus
Cosmic Spider-Man, 350’s fight vs Doom, a couple of classic early Venom stories, and the two greatest SinnisteSix stories of the 90s isn’t enough!?🤡😂 …the book immediately went to shit after the Carnage story, and Bagleys art never stood up against McFarlane’s or Larsen’ss
@@kyleanderson4406 this is getting reprinted in September 2024, look at it at Cheap graphic novels and organic priced books. I need this one to the out of print 🖨 one they want like $250.00, when they come back in print its like $60.00 to $75.00 , for a copy.
I quite liked the Omni… though I was concerned when spidey started flying….and shooting layers out of his arms…I was thinking ‘what have they done?!!!’ It was kinda old school… not the art..but the pacing… imo.
Yeah this book isn't great, I don't actually have it anymore and I've never missed it. Just not many great issues overall and Larsen's art just isn't really for me
Thank you for the video. I am sorry that you didn't like this book. I guess from my point of view Bagley, Larsen, Buscema, Frenz and Romita are of the greatest artists in Spider-Man. During my youth Mcfarlane rule in word and everything was listed in accordance his work; but now, I re-read all what he did and I enjoy it, but is not as enjoyable as all other artists. This book is of the most valuable for me, but I really appreciate your video and comments. Regards.
He's definitely got one of those styles that's not going to work for everyone. I like McFarlane's art overall but I really struggle with Larsen's artwork here because it does really just feel like an inferior imitation

Yeah great it's getting reprinted! And I'm definitely getting the Bagley omnibus, there's some good stuff in there!
Larsen's Spider-Man started out heavily influenced by McFarlane, but definitely grew into his own. At his peak, his Spider-Man is one of my favorites.

Have you managed to find the michelinie/bagley omnibus anywhere to pre-order? I find it nowhere :/
@@sharpc-tudent I don't think it's available for pre-order anywhere yet, it'll probably be available to order in the next month or two
@@sharpc-tudent there are listings but it's not been available to pre order yet.

Great review. Do you think that this will eventually get reprinted?
Thanks! And yeah I think so, as far as Marvel omnibuses go there aren't many that I think won't get reprinted at some point
Still kicking myself for missing out on this when I had a chance. Loved Larsen’s Spidey run. Here’s hoping it gets a reprint in 2023.

Hopefully you enjoy it when you get a chance to read it!

I'm glad you like it! We can't all enjoy everything, Larsen's artwork just isn't for me but I know plenty of people like this era!
Did you mean mr fantastic? (Said me incredible)
Haha yeah I did, I recently watched The Incredibles so guess that name was in my mind!
Todd McFarlane's work to me is not enjoyable and any artist that tries to emulate his work is even worse
