I watched Bubble a few days ago and honestly the story was alright. BUT the Animation, Sound Design and especially the Soundtrack by Hiroyuki Sawano was PHENOMENAL! Official OST will be releasing May 11th, so you can listen to the rest of the themes from the movie then! I hope you like my cover of Uta's Song mixed with a certain emotional AOT song!
Story was okay I guess, but the reason I love this movie is cause it's so goddamn pretty and the music is banging. That song for the parkour scene at the middle of the movie, bloody brilliant. Wish I could parkour that good
I actually really like the story. Sure, the ending was a bit cheesy but as someone who watched the original little mermaid (not the disney vers) I have to say it hits a certain nostalgic part of my heart. I feel like the story might've panned out better as a series so it could've been given more time to actually develop the feelings and arcs of the characters
I really loved the story. It was very beautiful and I loved the parcore. The art was out of this world and the soundtrack definitely brought it all together ❤
Glad there is not only Bubble story haters 😂 I personnally loved it so much ! I don't know old mermaid stories so it was my first one and so I found it pretty cool to watch and original (as someone who didn't know mermaid stories) The movie wasn't perfect, there were some narrative eases and things not really natural such as people asking for the rules, someone from the BB team who says that Hibiki doesn't shout with them at the beginning of a match (It's their 42nd game, they should be used to it lol), and Uta identifying to a book's character is not brand new neither, but I guess it helps building the movie and not making a 3h one. Personnally it was perfect TO ME. It was perfectly what I was searching for, peaceful, calm, beautiful anime. Add to it some emotions in the ending and I cried the whole last 8 minutes of the anime. Even if I understand people calling for mistakes, it is to me, a 10/10

It gave me some of the childhood nostalgia, along with coinciding with my newer interests. And as an autistic person with auditory sensory problems and a sister who has the same, it was nice to see someone with similar issues being represented. The soundtrack was beautifully done too. I've seen so much hate on the story of this movie, but the entire movie is intended to based on a classic tale. A girl made of seafoam and bubbles who returns to seafoam to protect her prince

I think bubble would have been much better as a series because the music and animation was so good but it didn't really have the time to flesh out the characters (especially the antagonists) or the plot.

But it wasn't a bad frame as a story and not a bad movie either. It was a good and enjoyable movie.
Yeah. And i did hear some from the Blue Dragon OST, i think its the "blue im meer". I think that's what we can call signatures of Sawano. But the intro is so breathtaking. I got goose bumps all over.
The story was perfect if you take it as an abstract story something that doesn’t need exposing the antagonist was not the evil bubble sister but time. The music was just outstanding and my god the visuals . If you don’t enjoy the story that much I suggest another watch but see it from an abstract angle and think of the movie in a romantic sense and a philosophical way and you will appreciate it more. The spirals are the unknown and everyone fears them even thought no one knows what’s in the other side for example I can go on and on .
finally someone i can agree with. but imo there was no great evil, the spirals merely represent the cycle of rebirth and destruction, convergence and divergence. uta knows and accepts this and is just happy to live for these few moments with her prince. the first time they read the little mermaid, the movie even directly spoils you the ending, but asks if you still want to continue on regardless, if you are willing and capable to just enjoy your time with this gorgeous movie, knowing how and when it's going to end. all in all a very life-affirming message
I agree with you so much! See Mary Poppins, there is no big villain, there is just the time that flews away. When this whole thing is good delivered it's just a beautiful and outstanding movie, at the top the amazing soundtrack and the beautiful visuals (every evening I'm watching the Parcour scene in the middle of the movie because it's just so so amazing!!)

i love how the story has holes in it which actually make it more and more interesting. i know the story isnt the best of the best, but the way it was delivered with all the music and animation was really, ONE OF THE BEST. loved the movie a lot. the writing, direction, production, music, animation, just everything is awesome!
Yup. I also do like how the main plot is still a big unsolved mystery. I mean, if thousands of scientist don't fully understand what is going on inside that bubble or where is it coming from, then how the fuck a group of teenagers that is just trying to have fun would be able to solve the mystery of the universe
This soundtrack deserves nothing less than an oscar, and if there ever was an oscar for "animated world building"... This Production would crush the competition.
When it comes to animations + film the soundtrack is always what captivates me, Uta’a voice helping to introduce Hibiki’s true self again.. this version is truly ethereal. 💜

When the princess saw him for the 1st time she couldn't take her eyes off him, he was the Prince she choose for herself She try her best to reach the Prince, and she did but the society don't want them to get together So to protect the Prince the princess disappear.... For the Price all there left was their memories together, the touches, the very kiss they shared... All memories like a mist.. clearing by the sunlight little by little.

For a good reason. AoT is objectively probably the best show ever made. Literally anything in it is a 10/10. Story, Setting, Characters, Music, Animation
If you want an anime that has an incredible story, A Silent Voice. It's an incredible film, and I really want Samuel to do a cover of it. The music is so unique and heart pulling.

I connected with Your lie in april as a Pianist who stopped playing piano, and Violet Evergarden is so far the only film to make me shed a tear in years, but a silent voice will always have a special place in my heart. It was my first anime and the story is incredible to me.

This anime just made my day 🥺🥺🥺. The day just went from not being able to find motivation to work in the office to this new and beautiful appreciation for life. The visuals were a treat for the eye. And the music 🥺. This anime will have a special place in my heart ❤️❤️
I was watching “Kabani of the iron fortress” and i was going “man this reminds me of Buble, i should watch it again.” And later i found out the same girl that plays Meumi plays Uta in “Buble”!
The soundtrack to bubble is so amazing it brought me to tears the first time I watched it, I was mesmerized by the animation, but the story line was ok, I understand what angle they tried but it wasn’t executed properly. But overall I would watch it again to just look at the animation and listen to the soundtrack

story was okay i see how they tried to kinda be similar to the little mermaid story, but the animation and artstyle was so exciting to see and jaw dropping. Very amazing. i’m obsessed with her voice the music is all was just really amazing

This movie in of in itself, might not rival movies like the Ghibli Movies, Your Name or A silent voice, but for me this movie is a complete work of art. The direction, the animation, the soundtrack, everything. This movie is an experience that all people should give a try.
This track makes me think there's still a chance for humanity. To stand together and see each other and not a flag we're born under. The only enemy we should ever fight, is a king or queen.

Like someone said this is criminally underrated movie it should be in above 8.0 class easily. Animation was first class music was even better and story was very refreshing adaptation of The Little Mermaid that acted as base for this master piece.
The story line wasn’t bad, but the animation was…so beautiful. Some of the prettiest of ever seen. And the music, omg. I haven’t cried over a movie in a long time, but the made me cry. The music gave me chills, and the ending was so sad. Great movie tho
The animation and the music really brought out emotions of the film 🥰 When I watched it, I felt like I only heard a few dialogue but the music tells the story and the emotions of the scene
The emotional moments with the music and the art detail impacted me the most during this movie Like, the soft music paired with intense parkour made that scene just idk more intense and magical in a way, and the details of the up close scenes sure, seeing lip details and more shine suddenly made me flinch a bit, but you gotta admit it was pretty (I like the shading of the background)
I've watched this movie three times within the past week. I am absolutely in love and obsessed, definitely my favorite anime of all time, as someone who doesn't even watch anime.

Wonderful movie that calls upon our nature which is to be a part of the universe. Nothing less, nothing more. I usually also am the type who prefers to understand it all, why has this or that happened and what is the meaning behind events... but sometimes, I think we do not necessarily need to get it or understand where this is coming from. Technically, we humans do not understand much of our existence, nature and the universe. We barely are conscious of our surroundings while we focus primarily on ourselves (which calls for a path of egocentrism and destruction of the rest). We do not know why we are here, why we are mortals and probably never will. However, this movie tends to gently remind us we all are a small fraction of the universe in its infinite cycles of destruction and creation. Do we need to know more than just being conscious of our place, enjoy the gift of life whenever possible, stay kind and humble doing so ? I personally do not think so. So this movie was in a sense quite enough and contemplative one :)
This music reminds me that I don't have any friends and need to go out and socialize so I can have a great time with friends. And all the daydreaming of having a friend and watching movies in their house is just running through my head.
I can confirm with Hibiki because I too feel like this song is talking to me as "It is ok, just listen to what's inside you, hear yourself no matter how the world sees you"

I finally watched this movie today and LOVED it! I admit the plot was a little bit confusing but I think this movie was mainly meant to focus on the amazing music and visuals. And oh boy is it AMAZING in those aspects!!! I might just rewatch it just to appreciate the epic animation and scoring! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet! Because this movie is a visual MASTERPIECE!
Wit Studio was like made for this movie since they did the first 3 seasons of AOT! Especially their ODM scenes that blend 2d with cg backgrounds so well
I just finished watching this film. Went back a few times to experience more of what it meant to be human. This story interpreted so much. It offered more under the hood, even though we might have missed it out first time watching it. Movies like this don't need to be over the top with most modern animes. Everyone is fixated on the grander things when in fact it's the smaller things that give the bigger impacts. This movie expressed that the unexpected can happen at any given moment. Destruction in any form can come to us without notice. And rip e everything away from us. We lose ourselves to those losses. Become shells of who we once were as we fight to figure it all out. We move forward, learning to walk again. But it's when those small miracles, that come to us when we least expect it. We slowly pull ourselves from our in own darkness. And become who we always were. This movie taught me a lot. It was a teacher for me, a lesson on life. That we are limited to time, that our lives can become short. But we shouldn't stop on what makes us happy and to strive to give it our all to achieve our dreams. And be thankful for those who helped us along the way.
Bubble gave me a lot of nostalgic feelings from all the animes i used to watch when i was a kid 😢. All the romance and action and whatever. i knew i was in love once i started feeling emotional after a soundtrack was placed in some point of the show. It assures me that im human

My main gripe was all the tropey under developed characters. Tbf, pretty hard to develop that many characters in the span of a single movie.
The story was decent at best. But Wit Studio delivered again with the visuals. The art and animation in Bubble was jaw-dropping.

I connected with Your lie in april as a Pianist who stopped playing piano, and Violet Evergarden is so far the only film to make me shed a tear in years, but a silent voice will always have a special place in my heart. It was my first anime and the story is incredible to me.

The OST itself gave this movie justice. It just gives me goosebumps during the parkour moment of Uta and Hibiki.
This anime just made my day 🥺🥺🥺. The day just went from not being able to find motivation to work in the office to this new and beautiful appreciation for life. The visuals were a treat for the eye. And the music 🥺. This anime will have a special place in my heart ❤️❤️

I was watching “Kabani of the iron fortress” and i was going “man this reminds me of Buble, i should watch it again.” And later i found out the same girl that plays Meumi plays Uta in “Buble”!
The soundtrack to bubble is so amazing it brought me to tears the first time I watched it, I was mesmerized by the animation, but the story line was ok, I understand what angle they tried but it wasn’t executed properly. But overall I would watch it again to just look at the animation and listen to the soundtrack

This movie in of in itself, might not rival movies like the Ghibli Movies, Your Name or A silent voice, but for me this movie is a complete work of art. The direction, the animation, the soundtrack, everything. This movie is an experience that all people should give a try.
This track makes me think there's still a chance for humanity. To stand together and see each other and not a flag we're born under.

Like someone said this is criminally underrated movie it should be in above 8.0 class easily. Animation was first class music was even better and story was very refreshing adaptation of The Little Mermaid that acted as base for this master piece.

Like, the soft music paired with intense parkour made that scene just idk more intense and magical in a way, and the details of the up close scenes sure, seeing lip details and more shine suddenly made me flinch a bit, but you gotta admit it was pretty (I like the shading of the background)

I've watched this movie three times within the past week. I am absolutely in love and obsessed, definitely my favorite anime of all time, as someone who doesn't even watch anime.
This anime will have marked me more than anything, I find this story too beautiful and so well done! the music is incredible, an anime that will forever remain one of my favorites!

Wonderful movie that calls upon our nature which is to be a part of the universe. Nothing less, nothing more.
I usually also am the type who prefers to understand it all, why has this or that happened and what is the meaning behind events... but sometimes, I think we do not necessarily need to get it or understand where this is coming from. Technically, we humans do not understand much of our existence, nature and the universe. We barely are conscious of our surroundings while we focus primarily on ourselves (which calls for a path of egocentrism and destruction of the rest). We do not know why we are here, why we are mortals and probably never will. However, this movie tends to gently remind us we all are a small fraction of the universe in its infinite cycles of destruction and creation. Do we need to know more than just being conscious of our place, enjoy the gift of life whenever possible, stay kind and humble doing so ? I personally do not think so.
So this movie was in a sense quite enough and contemplative one :)

I finally watched this movie today and LOVED it! I admit the plot was a little bit confusing but I think this movie was mainly meant to focus on the amazing music and visuals. And oh boy is it AMAZING in those aspects!!! I might just rewatch it just to appreciate the epic animation and scoring! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet! Because this movie is a visual MASTERPIECE!
Wit Studio was like made for this movie since they did the first 3 seasons of AOT! Especially their ODM scenes that blend 2d with cg backgrounds so well

I just finished watching this film. Went back a few times to experience more of what it meant to be human. This story interpreted so much. It offered more under the hood, even though we might have missed it out first time watching it. Movies like this don't need to be over the top with most modern animes. Everyone is fixated on the grander things when in fact it's the smaller things that give the bigger impacts. This movie expressed that the unexpected can happen at any given moment. Destruction in any form can come to us without notice. And rip e everything away from us. We lose ourselves to those losses. Become shells of who we once were as we fight to figure it all out. We move forward, learning to walk again. But it's when those small miracles, that come to us when we least expect it. We slowly pull ourselves from our in own darkness. And become who we always were. This movie taught me a lot. It was a teacher for me, a lesson on life. That we are limited to time, that our lives can become short. But we shouldn't stop on what makes us happy and to strive to give it our all to achieve our dreams. And be thankful for those who helped us along the way.
All these people to make a one in a wonder movie is truly beyond this right now is elite tier
